Story
Meet Turbo, a 3-year-old husky with a happy, friendly personality and a mature, affectionate nature. He may be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly and loves having “his person” to follow around. Turbo thrives with structure, routine, and plenty of daily exercise—classic husky style! He’s great with mid- to large-sized dogs and would fit beautifully into a home that already has one or two canine buddies. He’s also done wonderfully with cats and is gentle with kids, making him a well-rounded companion for many families. Turbo has the typical husky curiosity and smarts, so a secure yard or leashed adventures will be perfect for him. With someone experienced in huskies or other high-energy breeds, this bright, well-behaved boy will truly shine. Apply at campcompanion.org. Adoption fee is $350 plus tax!

Story
Check this gorgeous boy out! Meet Owen! This stunning boy came to PCHS from an impound in the Otter Lake area. He had been found as a stray and unfortunately no one ever came to claim him. So, he then made his way to us in hopes of finding a new forever home.Owen is fairly young and is estimated to be some sort of husky mix. He is social with other dogs and enjoys playing with others. He will go in his kennel here but it is not his favorite place to be. He is a lower to medium energy dog and would be great for walking/hiking or cuddling up on the couch with you to watch a holiday movie! Owen would love to have his very own home for the holidays, could that be you?Adoption fee is $350 + $30 microchip fee + tax

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lexie is a husky who's now over 10 years old, and she has a somewhat sad story. She came to us as an owner surrender on 8/17/2025. Her person moved back to the family farm and Lexie wasn't adjusting well. She was not a fan of the farm cats and made it very well known. Because of this she finds herself with us, looking for a nice retirement home. She is a healthy older dog who has been microchipped, spayed, and fully vetted, and her fee is $125. Lexie is a pretty gentle gal (unless you're a cat) and loves the company of people. She has done well with kids and male dogs as long as they're respectful. A husky savvy home would be great. Obviously, cats are a no and we're erring on the side of caution when it comes to other small animals, too. Lexie is really a beautiful soul who loves to engage in the sing song "talk" of huskies. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 south. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 2, 2025, 8:31 pm
