Smoky Linx's estimated DOB is 11/20/2019 and he's a brown and white Husky. This poor dog was found by police, and had a rough start at the haven, but he is doing great now and happy. Though he acts pretty standoffish in his pen, when he's slowly and properly introduced to new people he turns into a big cuddly lovebug. He's fully house trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. He's protective and intuitive and can read people incredibly well. He gets along with cats, to a degree. Smoky's only real downfall is that he takes a long time to get used to people. He honestly doesn't seem to be super comfortable with being inside a house, he really shines his brightest when he's outdoors. While on a trip to Roaring River he acted like a whole different dog, totally ignoring strangers, sniffing other dogs, tail wagging, hopping and rolling around and even swimming! We think that Smoky's ideal forever home will be someone who has a big yard with at least a four-foot fence, and preferably a doggie door. Someone who won't make him meet too many visitors, but will take him hiking in parks, and will let him have his own space while being the only dog in the home. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. Meet Cocaina! Cocaina is a white Huskey/Mix. She was born on 08/09/2022. Cocaina is good with kids, Loves water, and loves to go on walks. While she likes most dogs we would recommend a meet and greet with potential fur siblings. This sweet girl is an high energy player, she gets along well with kids but we'd recommend kids 5 and older with her. We don't think she would do well in a home with cats. Meet Doc, a sweet husky terrier mix. This goofy boy is almost afraid of his shadow, he's a very submissive dog that gets along with other dogs. He's good with cats but is a little afraid of them! Doc is a lover, he loves cuddles, walks, and mostly important to him, people. Here is what his cold weather foster had to say about Doc: He is an absolute lover. He has the cutest personality and loves to snuggle. He is potty trained, leash trained and gets along with our dog. He looks big but is half the size of our lab. He follows my hubby everywhere. He is here because his hips did not pass the OFA requirements so his professional breeder did not want that passed on in his pups so she opted to take him out of her breeding program and give him an early retirement otherwise he is perfect in every way. He is super sweet, lovable, and just plain gorgeous with his chocolate hair and them beautiful blue eyes.

*Available for foster-to-adopt!Sawyer is easily the biggest of his litter. This blue-eyed stunner weighed in at 28 lbs at only 10 weeks of age! His massive paws leave little room to assume that he will be anything but huge. However, as is often the case, Sawyer is a gentle giant, perhaps the calmest of his littermates, and is suprisingly careful of how he moves his body. Like his littermates, Sawyer is beyond food motivated, luring easily into sit position and following the treat closely and eagerly. Breed guesses for this hunk of love range from husky, pyrenees, lab, mastiff, heeler - he's a true Heinz 57. Sawyer is smart, loving, wrinkly, beautiful - what are you waiting for!! Come make him yours! Sawyer's neuter is scheduled for 2/18, so we are hoping to place him in a foster-to-adopt home so that he does not have to stay at the shelter until then.
