Story
Hey there — I'm Piston, a striking 1-year-old white Staffordshire Bull Terrier and Husky mix, and I'm ready for my next adventure! 🐕 I'm a solid 61-pounder who's already housetrained and great with both kids and other dogs, so I'll fit seamlessly into an active family. But heads-up: I'm deaf, and that's never slowed me down — I just need an owner who's patient and ready to learn some fun hand signals with me. 🤝 My adoption fee is just $50, and I'm here waiting to shower you with affection and loyalty. I can't wait to be your new best friend! ❤️ When my person finds me, I will come home with my rabies vaccination, puppy booster shot, a microchip that says I'm all yours and a certificate, to be used locally, that covers the cost of my(yikes!) neuter. I promise, if you take me home with you, I will be your Best Boy! Because I am All In and I will love you forever.

Story
Hello, this is Mishka she is a Purebred Siberian Husky. She is very intelligent knows basic commands sit, lay down, shake, stay and is house broke. She does have complications with small children and does not do well around them as why I'm rehoming her. She's also not good around cats and takes a bit to get use to other dogs. Other than that she is very loving and loves people!

Story
Smoky Linx's estimated DOB is 11/20/2019 and he's a brown and white Husky. This poor dog was found by police, and had a rough start at the haven, but he is doing great now and happy. Though he acts pretty standoffish in his pen, when he's slowly and properly introduced to new people he turns into a big cuddly lovebug. He's fully house trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. He's protective and intuitive and can read people incredibly well. He gets along with cats, to a degree. Smoky's only real downfall is that he takes a long time to get used to people. He honestly doesn't seem to be super comfortable with being inside a house, he really shines his brightest when he's outdoors. While on a trip to Roaring River he acted like a whole different dog, totally ignoring strangers, sniffing other dogs, tail wagging, hopping and rolling around and even swimming! We think that Smoky's ideal forever home will be someone who has a big yard with at least a four-foot fence, and preferably a doggie door. Someone who won't make him meet too many visitors, but will take him hiking in parks, and will let him have his own space while being the only dog in the home. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open form 9am-4pm, seven days a week. Story
Hi I’m Lando! Lando is a 2 year old Husky/Malinois Mix. He’s energetic, loving and an expert at keeping your yard safe from squirrels and moles! He loves spending his days outside, running, lounging in the grass, or just sitting next to you on the porch. With lots of love and patience, he has come out of his shell and went from a pup scared of other dogs and men, to a socialized dog that loves to play and say hello to everyone. He is kennel trained and goes to his area happily. He plays well with other dogs, but takes a bit to warm up. He is wonderful with kids, and gets along great with cats as well. We feel he would do well with a family that owns some land so he can run around freely and explore. He’s a wonderful dog and we would love for him to go to a home where he can thrive. Dog Link :) Fill out a Match Me form online at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CAST/Dog to be preapproved. All C.A.R.E rescue dogs are vaccinated, heart-worm tested, spayed/neutered, and microchipped! So all you need to provide is the love. Our adoption fee is a minimum $150 tax deductible donation. Story
Meet Sadie, Thumbelina and Dottie! These wispy girls are small, light and so, so, shy. They have made huge strides in the last few weeks, but they still have a long way to go! They all came from the same home and lived a very sheltered life. They didn't go outside or interact with new people often. Over the last few weeks they have gone from being completely shut down, to finally allowing the volunteers to walk them. They still are very new to leash walking and will require calm, quiet and patient families. Thumbelina has started to sit on her trusted people's laps and Sadie and Dottie have begun to explore a bit while on their walks and even take treats! We know these girls can become a real part of a family, it's just going to take the right fit! If you think that may be you, head down to Taney County Animal Control and ask for them by name!
