Story
Lobo is a 5½-year-old Husky with a tender heart who’s waiting for his next family to love. He was deeply loved his whole life, but when his owner became seriously ill, his thick, fluffy coat sadly made things more difficult. After holding onto hope that circumstances would change, his family had to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome him. They reached out to a shelter partnered with the BISSELL Pet Foundation, and we were grateful to have a spot to help this deserving boy. Lobo is a mellow, quiet, and incredibly sweet guy. He could benefit from a little fitness plan to shed a few extra pounds, but he’s up for walks and strolls along nicely on leash. He’s good with kids, not a fan of cats, and seems to enjoy the company of other dogs. A big foodie at heart, Lobo is simply looking for another home to cherish him as much as his first family did. If you’re ready to give this gentle soul a soft place to land, Lobo is ready to love you right back.

Story
Girlfriend is a stunning girl with piercing blue eyes and a gentle, laid-back personality. She came to us after her family could no longer care for both her and her companion, and now she’s ready for a fresh start. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with patience and love, she’s gaining confidence every day — and with consistent care and good nutrition, she’s only getting more beautiful. Girlfriend gets along well with other dogs and savvy kids, though she isn’t a fan of cats. She’s quiet, treat motivated, knows “sit,” walks well on leash, and can happily entertain herself with a nap or a nylabone. This sweet girl would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can relax on a big cozy bed or snuggle on the couch, and we know she’ll blossom even more in a loving forever family.

Story
Tucker is a loyal, people-oriented dog who has grown from a frightened, unsure pup into a confident companion in the right environment. He is thriving in his foster home, but he is ready for permanence—a person to explore life with and a place to belong.    Tucker enjoys long walks, nature adventures, and water. He can be cautious meeting new people at first, but once he trusts you, his devotion runs deep.    • Crate and house trained  • Dog-friendly (enjoys playdates)  • Cat-approved  • Best suited for a calm, child-free home    All of our animals receive comprehensive veterinary care prior to adoption, including a full exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, spay or neuter, heartworm testing, and any necessary medical treatment.    A vet reference, home and/or family visit, and an adoption fee are required.    Transport options are available within our operating region, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. We do not adopt animals to Canada.    For more information or to submit an application, please visit pmarinc.org.All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary. Story
Looking for the perfect balance of playful and laid-back? Roxie is your girl! Roxie isn’t your typical pittie mix—her DNA test revealed she’s 37% Husky (plus a fun mix of other breeds!). She came to us last year from the streets of Dallas, Texas, where she arrived with her pups in tow. Now about 5 years old, spayed, fully vetted, and officially heartworm free, Roxie is ready for her happily-ever-after. This sweet, happy girl loves to play and already knows her basics—she’s a real smarty pants! She gets along well with other dogs and kids, but would do best in a cat-free home. Roxie is thriving in her foster home in upstate NY, but she’s waiting for a forever family to call her own. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies. Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada. Story
Gatsby is a very sweet and loving dog- he doesn’t do well in an environment by himself- he would need another dog or a constant human around him. He is afraid of men, circles you on a leash when just out and about in the yard, marks his territory sometimes inside (will let you know when he has to actually go the bathroom outside), eats clothes or towels. He becomes good on a leash after about 5-10 mins into a destination walk. He loves treats and cuddles. Is fine around kids. Kennel trained- when we are away. Outdoor kennel trained during working hours and warm weather.
