Story
Introducing Lainey!Lainey is a spunky 1-year-old lab mix with a big personality and plenty of energy to share! She loves nothing more than running and playing -- her favorite way to burn off some steam. As for other dogs, Lainey is selective about her canine friends. While Lainey has always been friendly toward people, she didn't always feel comfortable following their lead. With patience and love, she's learning to trust and is now beginning to enjoy the path her humans guide her on. Watching her grow more confident every day is a joy!Lainey would thrive in a home with plenty of activity to match her energy and a family that will continue to help her blossom. Another dog might be a possibility; however, we think Lainey would prefer to be the only dog. At a glance:-Lainey is approximately 1 year old as of the summer of 2025-lab mix-Loves: Playtime, gaining trust with her humans-Personality: Energetic, fun, sweet, learning to shineCould Lainey be the perfect new addition to your family? Story
Zena came to us through our cruelty department and weighs about 54 pounds. She`s a bit on the skittish side and takes a bit to warm up to people but has a fun loving personality hiding under the stress of the shelter and has been more excited lately to see the volunteers she knows. She likes to splash around in pools in the summer and has a great time on walks even with new people and even through a foot of snow. Zena is slowly coming out of her shell and would be a wonderful dog for people with patience to let her do so.

Story
******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. ___ Meet Celine Dion – a stunning 4-year-old Greyhound/Lab mix with a personality as big as her name! Weighing in around 58 pounds, Celine was rescued from the euthanasia list at a Houston shelter and has been thriving ever since in her loving foster home in North Carolina. She’s spayed, healthy, and available for out-of-state adoption once matched with an approved adopter—transport can be arranged to bring this superstar home to you! Celine is joyful, curious, and always ready for fun. She brings a playful spark wherever she goes—whether it’s romping in the yard with dog friends, chasing her favorite toy, or exploring new places. Her ideal playmates are other large dogs who enjoy an energetic buddy and don’t mind a little bounce in their step. She’d also be perfectly happy as the center of attention in a home where she can get plenty of activity and enrichment. This sweet girl is making great strides with her leash manners and training. She’s crate trained, housebroken, and settles quickly after an initial burst of excitement when it’s time for a walk. She’s eager to please and motivated by treats, which makes her a fun and responsive learner. Celine adores people and has done wonderfully around her foster’s 12-year-old child. She gets so excited to say hello that she sometimes forgets her size—but she’s learning to greet people more gently and is improving every day. Because of her enthusiasm, we recommend a home with kids over 10 who are comfortable around playful, happy dogs. She’s respectful with toys and food, shows no guarding behavior, and enjoys being near her humans for affection, praise, and snuggles. In the car, she may pant at first, but she’s gaining confidence with each ride—and a few more adventures will help her become a travel pro. Celine would thrive in an active home with room to stretch her legs, regular walks, and loving guidance to help her keep growing into her best self. Whether she’s your one-and-only or joins a friendly pack, she’s ready to fill your days with laughter, companionship, and love. Ready to be serenaded daily with joy and tail wags? Celine Dion is waiting to steal your heart. ___ ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Story
643 days is a long time to wait for a family.  Meet Tucker — just over 2 years old, about 65 lbs, and quietly one of the most loyal dogs you’ll ever meet. From a frightened, unsure pup to a confident companion with the right pal, Tucker’s journey is a powerful reminder of what patience and love can do. Tucker is thriving in his upstate NY foster home, but what he truly wants is permanence — a person to explore life with and a place to finally belong. He’s the kind of dog who lives for connection. Long hikes, creek swims, peaceful walks, and then curling up beside you at the end of the day — Tucker is happiest simply being with his person. While he can be a little cautious meeting new people at first, once he trusts you, his devotion runs deep. Tucker at a Glance: • Dog-friendly (happy with playdates, also content solo) • Crate and house trained • Cat-approved  • Loves nature and water • Best suited for a calm, child-free home • Loyal, affectionate, and deeply bonded to his people Tucker has waited long enough. He’s ready for his forever — and for someone to finally choose him.
