Weighing in around 58 pounds, Celine was rescued from the euthanasia list at a Houston shelter and has been thriving ever since in her loving foster home in North Carolina. She’s spayed, healthy, and available for out-of-state adoption once matched with an approved adopter—transport can be arranged to bring this superstar home to you! Celine is joyful, curious, and always ready for fun. She brings a playful spark wherever she goes—whether it’s romping in the yard with dog friends, chasing her favorite toy, or exploring new places. Her ideal playmates are other large dogs who enjoy an energetic buddy and don’t mind a little bounce in their step. She’d also be perfectly happy as the center of attention in a home where she can get plenty of activity and enrichment. This sweet girl is making great strides with her leash manners and training. She’s crate trained, housebroken, and settles quickly after an initial burst of excitement when it’s time for a walk. NO CATSSteve was picked up as a stray in Nedrow and weighs about 72 pounds. He`s a people loving, snow loving boy who loves affection and doesn`t flinch at the cold. Just look at all that floof!. He walks well on a leash for our volunteers and is easy to leash. Being an akita, he does have a strong prey drive, so would do best in a home without cats or small critters. We`re still getting to know Steve but so far he`s showing himself to be a wonderful and easy going dog for someone who understands the breed.
