Story
This is Kirby. He’s is 4 (5 on oct 19). He is up to date and on heartworm preventative. He would do best as the only pet (he has some issues with his current siblings). He likes older kids! He is a big baby and loves to cuddle. He’s the best dog to hug ever. He does have some unspecified pain issues. (Current owner has meds but unable to afford sedation and X-rays). **Kirby is not at CCHS. If you are interested in learning more or adopting Kirby please email cchsshelter@yahoo.com. We will get you in contact with the owner**

Story
Meet this handsome big fluffy guy named Jonesy! He arrived at the shelter as a stray on December 26, 2025, and sadly was not reclaimed, so he’s now patiently waiting for his adoption day. Jonesy is estimated to be between 1–3 years old and is current on his vaccinations, now neutered. He’s a truly sweet and fun-loving boy who deserves a safe, loving FOREVER home. He’s settling in well at the shelter and enjoys spending time with his human friends. He enjoys playing fetch with a rope toy or ball and is a happy guy with a zest for life and love. He does like to jump up on you when he get excited and we're working to correct that. Time, consistency, patience is key. If you’re interested in Jonesy, we encourage you to research his breed so you’re familiar with the traits and needs that come with it—being prepared helps ensure a great match for both you and Jonesy. Could this sweet boy be the one for you? Come meet Jonesy and see if he steals your heart!

As unique as he is handsome. Oakland was found as a stray and ended up on a shelter kill list due to being exposed to distemper. Oakland now has a clean bill of health and is waiting for a family to love him. Oakland loves to hug and boy does he love to run! Oakland does great with other dogs, is non-reactive to cats and loves children. Oakland would make a dream dog for an family.

Story
I’m looking for a loving home for my 3-year-old dog. He’s German-command trained, energetic, and full of personality. He loves his owner, enjoys eating, and isn’t shy about being vocal. He thrives on attention and would do best with a big, active family who can give him the time and love he deserves. I’m in the military and single, so I can’t provide the full attention he needs right now.
