Story
Meet Sam! Sam has become a staff favorite, well known for his wonderful personality and handsome face! Sam is an all-around good boy and is always ready to make new friends. He loves everyone he meets and knows no stranger; he has done well with men, women, and children. Where Sam really shines is with other dogs, he has become a "helper dog" in the shelter where he is used to behaviorally evaluate or socialize other dogs! Sam is an active, playful, and affectionate boy ready to take on the next big adventure. Sam needs a home without cats. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Sam home. If you are interested in meeting Sam, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
Meet Radiohead! Radio came to us as a stray, but took no time at all to show us his big personality. Radio has a very Husky-like character; he is vocal, energetic, and goofy! Radiohead is far from serious, he is always trying to put a smile on our faces and never fails to make us laugh. He is a playful and energetic pup, so he would prefer an active family. Radiohead loves to talk and his vocalizations range from quiet grumbles to loud yodels, so he may not be suitable for apartment style living. If you need a companion to share conversation with or keep you busy, Radiohead is the one for you! Radiohead has done well with other dogs and would appreciate a play mate at home. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Radiohead home. If you are interested in meeting Radiohead, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
Meet Shira! This pretty mama came to us with her two sons as strays. We aren't sure how this furry family ended up on the streets, but Shira is ready for the next chapter of her life! It seems Shira has been used for litter after litter, and she is ready for a fresh start learning how to be a normal dog instead of a mom. She is a playful girl and loves being outside! She absolutely loves squeaky toys, tennis balls, or anything else toy shaped. Shira does well with other dogs. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Shira home. If you are interested in meeting Shira, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
Hi, My name is Bear! I came here in May of 2026. I am very social, friendly, and affectionate. I also love to run and play! I have lots of other dog friends here, and seem to like them all regardless of size. I don't seem to mind cats. I think I would make a great faimly dog. I am still working on my manners here, and pull, well, like a husky! But I am very smart and food-motivated and get better everyday. I have been to some events here and did very well meeting people polietly and riding in the car. Being in a shelter is a big change for me, and I hope I can be out of here soon!

Story
Hi, my name is Anabelle! I am a little ball of energy and I'm super friendly too! Dogs, people, toys- you name it, I love it! I also love getting attention and playing with toys. I just had my first playdate and learned I like running around with the other dogs here. I have lots of energy and think I would like a home where I would get lots of playtime and exercise. I have been to several events here, and always am a superstar- I love meeting new people! I am part Husky, so I love to run! I also have lots to say. I think I would make a good running or biking buddy.
