Story
The owner is incapable of taking care of her. She is not cat friendly at all. Not sure how she is with other dogs. To my knowledge she hasn't been leash trained. She's very sweet and loving, she does like to jump on you. She's lived outside most of her life. I'd be weary with little kids, she hasn't been around any.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Say hello to Scout! She was rescued in the Texoma area after (most likely) being dumped on a country road. She was taken in by a Good Samaritan, but no owner was found. So now she has been vetted including spay, and she is ready to find her forever home!   Scout was estimated to be about 2 years old when she was first found. She is super sweet with people and gets along well with other dogs, both male and female. She LOVES to play with other dogs so would appreciate having a canine pal in her new home. Scout is crate-trained and walks nicely on a leash. She is a high energy dog, so she needs an adopter who has a big yard and/or is willing to take her on regular walks and trips to the park.   Scout is being introduced to chickens -- slowly and carefully, always with supervision -- so if you keep a backyard flock, you could continue her training.   If Scout looks like exactly the dog you've been waiting for, complete the application today! Story
This sweet girl found her way onto our property along with her mother when she was 8 weeks old. While we found the owner and they wanted the mama back, they did not want the puppy. We decided to give it a try and she has now been here for over a year. Sandy is very playful, social and loving. She has a lot of energy and needs her exercise; tug-of-war and fetch are favorites. Older kids and another dog who would like to play would be great! She definitely needs a yard. We have worked training the basic commands (sit, stay, no, come, bring it, leave it). However, we do have free-range chickens and she does want to chase them so we have decided we are probably not the right home for her. We also have aging parents living on property and her energy is a lot for them. Sandy is crate trained with no accidents overnight. She stays in a 24x24 outdoor run most of the time but does come indoors in the heat of the day. She has had all her shots and is on heart worm prevention. She is a great dog!
