Story
Meet Lucy! Lucy is a beautiful 7-year-old Husky with the perfect blend of sweetness, confidence, and charm. Friendly and easygoing, she loves meeting new people and greets everyone with a relaxed, happy attitude. Whether she`s joining in on the fun or simply hanging out by your side, Lucy is happiest when she`s spending time with her people. She is currently in a foster home with children and adores them. Lucy is currently thriving in a foster home with children and has proven to be a wonderful family companion. She can also do well with other dogs who appreciate her playful Husky personality. When she`s excited, Lucy can be a little mouthy and very vocal - true to her breed, she loves to `talk` and express herself! She`ll do best with confident, tolerant canine friends who understand her enthusiastic communication style.Lucy is not a good match for a home with cats, as her instinct to chase is simply too strong.Like many Huskies, Lucy needs regular exercise and mental enrichment to stay happy. Without enough activity, she can become destructive, and she appears to experience some mild separation anxiety. Fortunately, she`s wonderful on leash, settles nicely after getting her energy out, and is fully house trained.Lucy is a loving, mature girl who will truly shine in a home that understands and embraces classic Husky traits. If you`re looking for a gorgeous, affectionate companion with plenty of personality - and don`t mind a few conversations along the way - Lucy could be the perfect addition to your family.

Story
Meet Koda! This handsome 5 year old husky is looking for a fresh start and a family to call his own. Koda came to the shelter in rough shape, but we won’t let his past define him. Every day, he continues to show us what a resilient and gentle soul he truly is.Koda can be shy and reserved when meeting new people. New situations and unfamiliar faces can make him a little unsure at first, but with patience, kindness, and a little encouragement, he has shown that he is capable of building trust and finding comfort in gentle affection. Once he begins to feel safe, you can see glimpses of the sweet dog hiding beneath his cautious exterior.Despite his shyness, Koda has been nothing but tolerant, calm, and docile during his time at the shelter. He appreciates having his boundaries respected and, like many Huskies, prefers affection to be on his own terms. He may not be the type of dog to immediately jump into your lap, but earning his trust is a rewarding experience. Once he is comfortable, Koda is very affectionate and really enjoys being next to his person. Koda is looking for a quiet, understanding home where he can decompress and learn that the world can be a safe and happy place. He has previously lived with a child, and older children who can respect his need for space would likely be a good match. Koda has shown some resource guarding tendencies with other dogs, so he would be best as the only dog in a household, or could likely live with another dog if his adopters are dog savvy and committed to managing his resource guarding. While he has not lived with cats before, slow and careful introductions may help him successfully adjust to a feline companion. One of Koda’s many strengths is that he is already house-trained and crate-trained, giving him a great foundation as he transitions into a new home. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, we believe he has the potential to continue growing in confidence and become a wonderful companion. If you have a peaceful home, a gentle hand, and the patience to help a shy dog blossom, Koda could be the perfect fit. Watching a dog like Koda come out of his shell, learn to trust, and discover the joys of family life is an incredibly rewarding experience. He’s ready for his second chance - could it be with you?

Story
Hi, I`m Bambi! I`m a sweet, friendly Husky with plenty to say, so if you`ve ever wanted a running commentary on your day, I`m happy to help. I greet new people with a wagging tail and a loose, happy body, and I`m always excited to head out for an adventure. I already know `sit,` I`m very food motivated (liver treats are my favourite!), and I`m gentle when taking treats from your hand.I seem to be very tolerant of other dogs and handled an enthusiastic canine introduction like a pro, although I was more interested in exploring than making a new best friend. I do pull on leash, so I`ll be looking for someone who`s ready to help me learn polite walking with patience and positive reinforcement. I may be able to live in an apartment, but my future family should know that I can be quite vocal—I have opinions, and I like to share them!I came to the shelter as a stray, so not much is known about my past. Staff have noticed I may guard high-value items like bones, so my new family should use simple trading games and good management to help build positive habits. If you`re looking for a friendly, chatty companion who`s ready to explore the world by your side (preferably with treats along the way), I just might be your girl!
