Story
We adopted Willow from an Animal Shelter. She was originally owned by my step-children's mother. She is an escape artist so she would constanty get out. The last time she was turned into Animal Control under their mom's ownership she surrendered her. We thought it would be great for the kids for us to adopt her as a surprise. However, we have a 5-year-old lab. Willow seems to be very food posesseive and often goes after our lab while in the kitchen when food is or isn't involved. As mentioned before, she is an escape artist. We do not have a fenced in yard. Ultimately, Willow is an extremely sweet 2-year-old girl. She is crated during the day while we are at work. She has not chewed anything up so far. She is currently taking medications for kennel cough that she got while at the Shelter as well as a medication for diarehha. She will be done with these medications soon. We have an appointment to surrender her to animal shelter on Tuesday 4/23. I thought I would try this as well.

Story
Canelle is an 8 year old Alaskan mix that we recently rescued from the dog sledding industry. She is the sweetest and most gentlesst girl you'll meet. She is very calm when in the house, but has a very energetic side when she hits the outdoors. Canelle loves being outside in the fresh air, smelling her surroundings. She loves going for walks and loves them so much she wants to go as fast as she can! She does pull for the first 10 minutes of her walks but then calms down once she figures out there is no rush and no need to run. She realizes she can stop and smell the roses! Canelle is great with kids and oves attention from children of all sizes. She loves when they give her belly rubs. Canelle is great with other dogs of all sizes. She will occasionally let out a small low growl if there is a very excited dog in her face but will just turn and walk away. She has never shown any real aggression towards other pups. Even on our walks when we meet new dogs, she shows no aggression. She just keeps on her merry way! Canelle is great in her crate. She never tries to escape the crate, it’s her safe space. She actually loves to cuddle up inside a lot of the time. When we are gone we leave the crate closed and she does great. When we are home the door of her crate is always open so she can come and go when she pleases! She does great with a dog bed and does not chew it. Canelle has been really great with house training. She has only had one accident in the house on the first day she came to us which was from her anxiety, but she has been amazing ever since. Canelle can hold her bladder through the night. When we go outside she knows what to do! Canelle loves soft dog toys but eventually puts a hole in it, so she does go through them! She is a leisurely eater. She will eat when she's hungry and only if she's hungry. She will however take treats whenever offered! This girl will be the most loving addition to her forever home! She is spayed, dewormed, microchipped and up to date with vaccines. Her adoption fee is $400. If you’re interested in adopting her please fill out an adoption form.

Story
Introducing Vanille, a 4 year old Alaskan mix we recently rescued from the dog sledding industry. She’s a happy girl bursting with love. This cuddle bug adores attention and affection, greeting you with wags and a beaming smile whenever you walk through the door. While she tends to jump up when you arrive home, she's eager to learn and adapt. She has never jumped up onto the foster families young child though. Snuggling is her specialty, whether it's on the couch, floor, or bed, she'll happily cozy up next to you for some quality time together. If left alone, she might whine a bit or get anxious if you're out of sight, but she's working on her independence. Good with kids and other dogs, she's patient with puppies but prefers her personal space with overly exuberant dogs. Cats intrigue her, especially when they're being petted, but she's more likely to give them kisses than chase them. Outdoorsy and curious, she's your perfect adventure buddy, always ready for a walk or a run in the yard. While she's a dream on a leash, her squirrel-chasing instincts might kick in from time to time. House trained and non-destructive, except for the occasional cardboard box, she's a tidy housemate. Her toy of choice? Plain stuffies she lovingly collects and arranges into a pile. Whether she's riding shotgun in the car or curled up at your feet, she's happiest by your side, ready for whatever the day brings, be it an outdoor escapade or a cozy night in on the couch. This sweet, affectionate girl is just waiting for her forever family to share endless love and cuddles with. ✳️ Vanille’s adoption fee is $500. She is spayed, dewormed, microchipped and UTD on vaccines. ▪️If you're interested in adopting her please fill out an adoption form: https://form.jotform.com/221626931360250

Story
Meet Astar, a 7-year old Alaskan Husky mix with a heart of gold. He is one of the recent sleddies we rescued from the dog sledding industry. Despite spending his early years tied to a chain, Astar has blossomed into a loving and affectionate companion since finding his way into foster care. This handsome and charming fellow starts his days with a big stretch and a flurry of kisses, eager to greet his human each morning with his trademark 'smile'. Astar's affectionate nature shines through as he enjoys nuzzling and snuggling up to his human whenever he can, forming deep bonds with those he trusts. While he may take a moment to warm up to new faces, Astar's gentle demeanor shines through in his interactions with other animals, including dogs of all genders, cats, and even young children. He's proven himself to be respectful and gentle, making him a wonderful addition to any household willing to extend a little patience and understanding. Astar's journey to confidence has been marked by milestones, from conquering his fear of the car, to being a brave boy in the bath, tackling new adventures with gusto. Though he occasionally pulls on walks due to being used to running to pull a sled, a simple adjustment to the leash attachment transforms him into the perfect walking companion. With a love for exploration and an appreciation for the finer things in life (like bum scratches and belly rubs), Astar is happiest when he's out and about, taking in the sights and smells of the new world around him. Astar's foster mom describes him as a low-energy sweetheart, equally content to snuggle up for a nap or embark on a thrilling hike. His playful side is emerging more each day, complete with goofy antics and a charming smile that lights up the room. As Astar continues to build his confidence, he's on the lookout for his forever home — one where he'll be cherished for all the wonderful traits that make him unique. With his intelligence, humor, and boundless affection, Astar is sure to bring joy and laughter to the lucky family who opens their heart and home to him. ✳️ Astar’s adoption fee is $400. He has been dewormed, is microchipped, is UTD on vaccines and has been neutered. ▪️If you're interested in adopting Astar please fill out an adoption form: https://form.jotform.com/221626931360250
