Story
Tika is a very affectionate and playful husky who always has a smile. She loves being in the same room as people and will happily carry her toys around while you're up and about to always be in the vicinity. Her demeanor is calmer than most huskies and she tends to tire after her walk and want to lay down, ideally with or near her people. Her favourite toy is a Kong with treats or frozen peanut butter, which she is delighted to bounce and carry around the house for hours. She would do best in a household where she can get a lot of daily exercise and there is almost always someone around, as she is prone to anxiety when left entirely alone (though she is totally fine with dog sitters). She also need to be a solo pet as she is both very jealous of other animals getting attention and and prone to playing too rough with others. Please note: Huskies are high maintenance dogs, she needs a lot of exercise/stimulation and attention.

Hi, I'm Champ!  As you can see from my photos, I'm a pretty handsome guy with a great smile. In typical husky fashion, I have a LOT of energy and would love to be your hiking, running or swimming buddy. I even have a number of tricks to keep you entertained! I look up to the great Houdini and have been known to make great escapes of my own. All of my furriends are impressed when they hear about the times I've jumped over fences and broke through crates! Story
Hi, I'm Franklin! I have lived at PDA for 1,095 days and counting! I am one of PDA's first residents and I like to think I'm the handlers' favourite. A little about me? I'm goofy, playful and I love people. I can be dog selective but I'm a great furriend to my besties. Before we go any further you should know two things about me: 1. Cats don't like me. You'd think that something so small, fluffy and fast would love to play chase... apparently not 🙄 2. I'm a REALLY good jumper and I take pride in my ability to climb and hop fences. Handlers say I need a home willing to use invisible fencing, long lines or a fence that is at least 11' tall.  MN, German Shepherd/Husky mix mix approx 80lbs DOB: 2021

Story
Athena has spent her life on the streets before coming into our care. She’s still adjusting to this new world, and we’re slowly getting to know her. Athena is shy at first, but there’s a softness in her eyes that tells us she’s ready to learn what love and safety feel like. She’s dog-friendly and taking everything one careful step at a time. This beautiful girl is looking for a calm, patient home where she can settle in, build trust, and finally know what it means to belong. The adoption fee includes Vaccinations: This includes: Rabies Leptospirosis Distemper Infectious Hepatitis/Adenovirus Parvovirus Parainfluenza Lyme Bloodwork: Testing for heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma Deworming Spay/Neuter Microchipping If the dog required any other vet treatment or surgery while in our care, this is also included in the adoption fee. All known medical information is explained to adopters prior to adoption. All our dogs come with a leash, collar, toy and a small bag of kibble. We put a lot of work, time, care and love into each one of these dogs. They are treated like one of our own. We are open and transparent about the dogs in our care.
