Story
Cleo is a serene and tranquil classic black and white blue eyed husky beauty, weighing around 50 lbs, who embodies gentle quietude. She's impeccably housetrained, displays exemplary manners, and diverges from the stereotypical loud husky, instead radiating calmness. With a chill and easygoing demeanor, Cleo boasts beautiful low to medium energy levels, rendering her an ideal companion. While unfamiliar situations may evoke caution, her crate serves as a comforting sanctuary. Cleo thrives outdoors and would flourish in a home with a fenced yard where she can revel in freedom. She's a social butterfly with canine companions and would adore a furry friend to bond with, although she's more reserved around new people. This sweet and affable girl is poised to bring joy as a wonderful addition to a serene household.

Story
Introducing the lovely 1-year-old Zara, a shining star who was rescued from a shelter where she was brought pregnant and spayed in the later stages, separating her from her precious puppies. We were deeply moved by her story, and it's likely she's still searching for the little ones. That's why we brought her home, and now she's ready to find her forever family who will shower her with love, care, and devotion. This gentle soul is a bit reserved, calm, and peaceful, though perhaps carrying some sadness. Due to her sensitive nature, she's particular about her food and dog companions, so if you have a furry friend, it's best to arrange a meet-up to see how they bond - she does enjoy the company of dogs. Meanwhile, she's found to be a sweet and loving companion to people, making her an ideal best friend. Don't wait to submit your application to welcome Princess Zara into your heart and home! Currently, she's being cared for in Ashland, Oregon.

Story
Meet Calypso! Sweet. Silly. Sofa-surfer. Calypso has been patiently waiting for her forever home since December of 2022, and we think it’s high time she got the love she so richly deserves! This mellow, affectionate, and delightfully playful girl has become a staff favorite — and once you meet her, you’ll understand exactly why. She’s got the perfect mix of cuddle and charm. Calypso is incredibly people-friendly and does well with most kids, making her a lovely candidate for a small family. She's affectionate without being clingy, and playful without bouncing off the walls — just the right balance for a cozy, loving home. Her Resume? Impressive! Knows “Sit” and is leash trained Uses a doggy door like a pro LOVES treats (training will be a breeze!) Already halfway to learning “Shake” and “Roll Over” Doesn’t mind paw handling, tail touches, or even forehead kisses — she's a touch-positive queen ‍ Her Ideal Canine Companion? While Calypso has met all kinds of pups during her time at the shelter, she tends to bond best with confident male dogs. She’s currently living it up with her buddy Cheezit — the two of them zoom, chase, and play until it’s time for a good long nap. Bonus Fun Facts: She has a cat-like personality — enjoys perching on tall surfaces and power-napping like a pro. However, she’d prefer to be the only "cat" in the house — no actual felines, please. Whether she’s giving you her paw, rolling over for a belly rub, or quietly lounging beside you, Calypso just wants to be someone’s girl. Could that someone be you? Call the Ranch today to meet Calypso and give her the happily-ever-after she’s been waiting for. Story
Meet Comet – The One-Eyed Wonder with a Heart Full of Zoomies and Love! If you're searching for a dog who’s equal parts sweet, silly, and soulful — look no further than Comet! This stunning husky mix isn’t just a pretty face (though he definitely is); he’s also bursting with personality and love. When Comet first came to us, he was battling severe glaucoma in his right eye. Unfortunately, the eye couldn’t be saved, and it had to be removed. But don’t worry — Comet hasn’t missed a beat! He zips around like nothing ever happened and still does his signature “consolidated zoomies” (picture: tucked booty, tight happy circles, dramatic play bows). It’s impossible not to smile when he’s in motion! True to his husky nature, Comet’s got opinions and isn’t afraid to talk back with a little sass. But under all that fun is a big softie. He shakes with excitement when he sees his favorite people and will rub along the fence line just to be close and soak up some pets. He’s also a gentle playmate — respectful, kind, and never too rough during play. Whether he’s wrestling with his humans or curling up for cuddles, he knows how to keep it sweet. Comet came in with a small husky friend named Sascha (who has since found her forever home), and now he’s hoping it’s finally his turn. If you're ready for a goofy, affectionate, one-eyed wonder who will fill your days with laughter and love, Comet is waiting to meet you. Call the Ranch today and come fall in love with this lovable husky! Read Comet's Dog of the Week post here:  https://rrdog.org/dw/comet/ Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. Story
Meet Boris! Boris is a total ham—big, stocky, and overflowing with personality. He’s the kind of dog who makes instant eye contact, the kind that says “Hi, I’m your new best friend.” He’s incredibly personable and loves being connected to his people, always checking in to make sure you’re still with him. On leash, Boris can get a bit enthusiastic, but if you give a gentle tug back, he’ll glance over at you with those apologetic eyes that make it impossible to stay mad. He truly wants to do right—he’s just excited about life. At playtime, Boris reveals his inner giant kitty. He’s perfectly happy entertaining himself with a ball, gently pawing it around and nibbling it into pieces with great focus and delight. It’s both hilarious and endearing to watch. Water? Boris is all in. Cold days, warm days—if there’s water nearby, he’s leaping in with joy and zero hesitation. Life’s too short not to splash, according to Boris. Most of all, Boris is a big love bug. Handsome, affectionate, and full of character, he’s the kind of dog who will keep you laughing, smiling, and feeling very loved. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a playful spirit and a heart of gold, Boris is ready to win you over. Call the Ranch today to meet Boris and see if you’re the confident leader he’s been waiting for!
