Story
Mystic was dumped at a shelter with we believe her brother, at the very least it was a male husky, same age. He was adopted and Mystic went to a home, foster to adopt, and that very day they fed her and tried to take her food away and they said she bit them, and they took her back to the high kill shelter so she became rescue only and she needed out of there because she was gonna be put down. I committed to taking her and wasn’t sure what I was gonna get, but she’s only been awesome and amazing. Hasn’t shown any signs of food aggression at all,, and I always feed everyone in a crate or kennel, now Il’m not trying to take her food away either. She takes treats gently and with dogs all around her, and she’s been fine. She loves to play with the other dogs. I’d love for her to have a secure fenced in yard to run and play in and I think she’d do best with at least one other dog, and a male I think would be a perfect match. She’s been great with all my dogs but I realize this is a huge pack with me the alpha and everyone else. Once in a normal situation, I think matching her with a male would be best.

IDGSR Welcomes CHANEL into the safety of the rescue!! ************** Hi there! My name is Chanel & I am the CUTEST 4-month old Husky/Shepherd girl you've ever seen! My foster mom gave me a fancy name because my white/tan coloring is unique & my bright blue eyes make me look extra pretty! I'm a high energy baby girl, learning how to be house trained & kennel trained. I do sleep in my kennel at night but I would LOVE to sleep in a comfy bed when I'm older! I already know these commands: sit, come, down, & I can walk on a leash! I'm super smart & want to learn all sorts of things, could we do some obedience classes together? My perfect home would be one that will love me, have a big yard for me to run and play in, one that will teach me how to be the best girl, give me lots of treats (those are my favorites), & give me plenty of exercise! Remember, I am a puppy with lots of energy! I'm good with other dogs, kids, & cats so I am sure I will fit right in to your home! If you are looking for a pretty, cuddly, kissy, adorable, smart, & energetic new bestie - I'm your girl! Hurry up & submit that adoption application, I can't wait to meet you! ************** Thank you for considering adopting this wonderful dog! Donations help us care for all of the dogs in our program. Story
Hi! My name is Redford. I was a stray for a long time until someone was able to catch me. The people that caught me, held me for a week or so and were going to keep me, but I messed up and killed 2 of their chickens. I cannot be around chickens (they are so good; I just can't help myself). They said I was good around other dogs and cats, but we are not sure how I get along with kids. I know basic commands like sit, lay, stay but until I get to know you, I would probably be a flight risk, so keep me on a leash. I do attach quickly and might have some separation anxiety. The people that caught me did take me on a couple hikes and I enjoyed that, they also took me to a restaurant, and I had very good manners. Come take a look at me and possibly give me a fur ever home!

Story
We took Duke in from our friends brother. Duke spent 23 out of 24 hours a day in a crate because the owner wasn’t allowed to have him in the house. He was terribly infested with fleas, so I couldn’t let him stay there. Unfortunately I just didn’t know what all was involved in taking care of a husky. He is a great dog. He loves people and other dogs! Our home is very small and he is rather large. He lives outside but we feel like he deserves a better home with more attention for him. He also needs a groomer to handle his coat that is not in the best shape. We can’t afford that and he strongly dislikes any touching on his backside. Other than that he’s not a hard dog. He’s stubborn by nature as that comes with the breed, but he would make any one that has the time for him so happy!

Story
Juniper is a fun, energetic, loyal pup. My wife and I got her at 8 weeks old and raised her around friends in California. She loves going on bike rides, long hikes, playing in the water, fetch for hours, and finally, after a good days work, snuggling with her tribe. Sadly, after the 3 years of adventures, with lots of transition and the realization that she needs land to run around on, we are looking for a new loving family. Although we attempted to raise her with other dogs, Juniper remains anxious. On leash she will lash out to other pups if they are within 10 feet of her (our trainer said she is simply scared and also has a protection complex) although she has never bit any dog or human. If she lashes out, this includes barking and growling and acting tough but, never acting on it. Juniper wants to stay close to her people and play, she needs owners who are looking for an adventure and are just as loyal.
