The two of them started out very shy and wary of everyone. Since being at the rescue, they have learned to trust people. Blue is much more confident than Sassy, but would still need a patient person to continue to build his confidence. He looks forward to walks using a gentle leader, treats, and attention from volunteers. Blue is ready for adventure with a fun family!FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Will always do a little howl before you do something for her (taking her out, eating, etc.). But she's low energy when she needs to be. She is fully trained in the basics, like potty training and a few basic tricks. I love her, but I'm relocating to Japan for work. Unfortunately, none of my family or friends will take her for the time I need to relocate her with me. I don't think I'll have the funds for it either.Update: Zena just had a well check up and is heartworm free. She also received a rabies shot good for one year.

Story
Princess Starbright is a mama’s girl. She chose me when she first came to my parents’ home after her breeders brought her over to meet her sister. The dogs got along until Princess went into heat and started fighting. I ended up taking her a few months later when I moved out. We lived together for a few years until I faced an unfortunate financial situation and needed to move back in with my parents. I have been searching for a foster since December 2025and haven’t had any luck and it’s a stress on everyone to keep the dogs apart. I’m making the difficult decision to rehome her while I still recover mentally that way she lives her life to the fullest. She prefers women to men but will open up. I think she was abused by a man as a puppy but food is the way to her heart. She is an adult now and is 5 turning 6 in October. She’s slow to warm up but meet her at where she’s at and she’ll come out of her shell in no time.
