Story
Dixie is a 1-year-old, 50 lb. Husky who is, quite honestly, a Husky through and through! Before coming to the shelter, Dixie spent weeks keeping our Animal Control Officer on his toes. Every time he thought he had her figured out, Dixie had other plans! She managed to elude him every chance she got, turning her capture into quite the adventure. And honestly? We're pretty sure Dixie thought the whole thing was a game. That’s Dixie — smart, sassy, spunky, curious, and always ready to keep you guessing. She's got the classic Husky personality and intelligence, which means she's not just looking for a couch to nap on all day. Dixie will thrive with someone who enjoys an active, clever dog and is ready to give her plenty of exercise, enrichment, and opportunities to use that busy brain. Dixie LOVES to tell you exactly what she's thinking. She's got plenty to say and isn't shy about sharing her opinions! Her Husky 'conversations' are just part of the charm. But Dixie isn't all sass and mischief. She's also a great walking companion and does well on a leash. She's social with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. Dixie would be a great match for someone who loves the Husky breed and understands that they're smart, energetic, independent, vocal, and endlessly entertaining.  (9/13/26)   Adoption/Transport Fee:  $300.00 'You can learn more about our Hope Dog program here: https://www.crossingpathsanimalrescue.org/adopt/hope-dogs .'September 17, 2026, 4:12 pm

Story
Claudia is a 2-year-old, 56-pound Husky mix with an award-winning personality! She came to us at rescue with a large cut on her inner thigh that had to be sutured, but that hasn’t slowed her down. (She’s almost completely healed!) She’s super sweet, playful, energetic, and vocal. She also loves belly rubs and knows how to sit! Great girl!!! (posted 6/11/26, ME) ' ' ' 'Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $170.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** ' ' 'September 17, 2026, 4:12 pm

Jenna Age: 6 months Breed: Sex: Female Size: 33 lb Status: Available Jenna is a 6-month-old Husky who has spent most of her young life as a stray. She has never really known what it feels like to have a family, and now she’s hoping someone will come along and show her just how wonderful it is to be loved. Jenna can be shy and unsure at first, so she’ll need a patient family willing to continue working with her and help build her confidence. She doesn’t mind other dogs and would love a family who understands the Husky breed and knows how to help her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. But don't let that shy face fool you! Those Husky instincts are definitely in there. Once Jenna gets comfortable, her playful and mischievous side starts to peek through. She'll need plenty of exercise, enrichment, training, and positive guidance to keep that clever Husky brain busy. Jenna is still just a puppy, and with the right family, we know she can shine. Story
Moodonna is a Shepherd/Cur mix weighing 50 to 55 pounds. She was found as a stray who had 7 puppies. Wow! A great mama dog, she would prefer to be the only animal in the family. Although considered a young girl of 4 years, Moodonna has wisdom in her eyes. Generally calm, she loves people and going for walks. Such sweetness! (Treated for Heartworm.) Story
Meet Tank – A Gentle Soul Looking for a Fresh Start Tank is a 2-year-old Husky/Pit Bull mix who is ready to leave his difficult past behind and find the loving family he deserves. Tank came to us through a seizure case in heartbreaking condition. He was severely emaciated, but thanks to the care he's received, he's slowly gaining weight and getting stronger every day. Shelter life has been stressful for him, and while the kennel can be overwhelming, there's a completely different dog waiting to shine once he's comfortable. Tank is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. He previously lived with other dogs, and we feel he has the potential to do well with a canine companion. A dog meet is required to make sure everyone is a good match. We are unsure how he is with cats, so any introductions should be done with extreme caution and very slowly. Tank is nervous around new people and unfamiliar situations, but once he trusts you, he's an absolute love bug who just wants to be close to his people. Because of this, we'd like everyone in the household to come to the meet-and-greet so we can make sure everyone is comfortable together. At only 2 years old, Tank is still very much a puppy. He'll benefit from continued training, structure, and patience as he learns that the world isn't such a scary place. He absolutely loves being outside, exploring new places, and soaking up all the sights and smells. An active family would be a wonderful fit for him, giving him healthy outlets for his energy while helping him build confidence. Tank has already overcome so much. Now all he needs is someone willing to believe in him and give him the second chance he's been waiting for. Could that be you?Interested in adopting? Story
Meet Shadow! This beautiful 2-year-old Husky girl is looking for a family to call her own! Shadow is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines. She is a sweet and loving girl who enjoys her toys and is easy to walk on leash. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly once she realizes she is safe and can be herself. Shadow has previously lived with other dogs and seems to be dog friendly, but a dog test will be required. We are unsure how she feels about cats, so slow, patient, and careful introductions will be important. We think Shadow would do well with respectful children who understand her boundaries and are willing to give her the time she needs to feel comfortable. An active family would be best for this energetic girl and can help her get her Husky energy out in all the right ways! If you're looking for a sweet, loving, playful companion who just needs a little time to warm up, Shadow may be your girl! Interested in adopting? Story
Hi, Im Zeus—and yeah, I have been through some things… but I came out stronger, faster, and ready to live my best life. I was found on the streets of Qatar with a badly broken leg, following people around like “hey, I could really use a hero right about now.” Good news—I found one. After a long road (and a big decision to lose the leg), I decided three legs is more than enough to run, explore, and enjoy life. These days, I am all about my walks, my people, and living like nothing can slow me down. I am great with bigger humans, do well with respectful dogs (slow introductions), and I have just enough personality to keep things interesting. I am currently in Qatar with my sights set on a fresh start in the US—I just need my person or foster to make it happen. So tell me… are you ready for a resilient, loyal, slightly legendary best friend who proves every day that second chances are everything? 🐾
