Story
Aspen's mum was brought into a rural shelter in TX very pregnant. She was hanging around some apartment complex, found a couch to lay on. The very next day after arriving at the shelter she had 3 puppies. Flora is the mum and she is a Siberian Husky who is the same colour as Aspen. The shelter she was at was full and there was a big plea to save her and her babies lives to which we answered. All the puppies are very sweet. Aspen is now ready for his home after being fixed, had all shots for his age and micro chipped. His breed is high energy so no apartments. A fenced in yard and buddy would be wonderful. If you are interested in this handsome fellow please email us at Doginghamrescue@aol.com so we can send you an application. We are based in the Nashville, TN area and have most of our dogs transported up north. The $450 includes the adoption and transport fee (will have a health certificate too). The transport fee is not refundable if things do not work out.

Story
https://foha.org/pet/chaucer2022/ Hi all! I'm Charming Chaucer! I have to admit, I am quite handsome! And I do have a pretty fun and charming personality. I am also very smart and a quick learner. I already know sit, down, paw, and I'm working on mastering roll over. But I'll happily roll over for some belly rubs! I am full of energy but I'm very loving. Some of my favorite activities include playing fetch then cooling off in a pool. I may be fast, but slow and steady is the way to win my heart. I do need slow introductions to new people and other dogs, I do play well with dogs I already know. And I love my favorite volunteers and FOHA staff with all my heart. I would do best in a home without cats. I need to be in a home with a very patient owner that is very experienced with huskies! I will do best with no kids in the home as well. If you're ready for a life full of love (and dog hair) and you're willing to give me the time to show you all the great things about me, then submit an application today so we can meet!

Story
https://foha.org/pet/janis2023/ Meet Janis J, a shy and beautiful husky mix who is looking for a loving and patient home. This sweet dog has had limited exposure to humans in her early life and needs someone who can help her overcome her fears and gain confidence. Janis J is a stunning dog with beautiful brown eyes and a soft, fluffy coat. She is very shy and nervous around people, but she is slowly getting to know her voice and is learning to trust the people around her. Due to her fear of humans, Janis J needs to be placed in a home with no children and a confident dog who can help her feel more comfortable and show her the way. While she is still too shy to start obedience training, Janis J is doing great with her potty training and is making progress every day. She needs someone who is patient and understanding and who can help her build a sense of trust and security. Janis J is a sweet and loving dog who is just waiting for the right person to come along and show her the love and attention she deserves. She needs someone who is willing to take the time to build a relationship with her and who understands that she may need time to adjust to her new surroundings. If you are looking for a special dog who needs a little extra love and attention, Janis J could be the perfect match for you. She is a gentle and loving dog who is just waiting for the right person to come along and show her that the world can be a kind and loving place. With patience, love, and a confident dog friend, Janis J has the potential to become a happy and well-adjusted companion who will bring joy and happiness to your life.

Story
https://foha.org/pet/jerry-g/ Meet Jerry, a shy and gentle husky mix who is looking for a patient and loving home. This sweet dog is still very young and has a lot of potential, but he needs someone who can help him overcome his fears and gain confidence. Jerry is a beautiful dog with striking brown eyes and a soft, fluffy coat. He is very shy and afraid of humans, but he has a gentle and loving nature that shines through once he feels comfortable. He is still very young and needs someone who can help him learn to trust and feel safe in his new environment. Due to his fear of humans, Jerry needs to be placed in a home with a confident dog who can show him the ropes and help him feel more comfortable around people, we believe living with kids would be too stressful. He is currently too afraid to start working on obedience training, but he is making great progress with his puppy pad training. Jerry needs a patient and understanding person who is willing to take the time to build a relationship with him and help him feel safe and secure. He needs someone who is willing to work with him at his own pace and who understands that he may need time to adjust to his new home and surroundings. If you are looking for a special dog who needs a little extra love and attention, Jerry could be the perfect match for you. He is a gentle and loving dog who is just waiting for the right person to come along and show him that humans can be kind and caring.
