Story
Meet Sawyer, a five year old Husky/German Shepherd mix weighing 71 pounds.Sawyer is the perfect mix of wisdom and fun—a great middle-aged dog who’s happily out of the puppy chaos but still has plenty of life and personality left to share. If you’re looking for a companion without the nonstop energy of a young pup, Sawyer might be just your guy. He’s a friendly, independent boy who enjoys being around people but is also perfectly content doing his own thing. Sawyer is smart and already knows “sit”… though he may give you a look first to make sure you really mean it! He’s got a bit of a stubborn streak, but it just adds to his charm and makes him all the more endearing. On walks, Sawyer loves to take his time sniffing and exploring the world around him—he’s a curious guy who enjoys taking in all the sights and smells. He’s also pretty intrigued by squeaky toys and will happily investigate what all the fuss is about.Sawyer would do well in a home that appreciates a dog with personality—one who doesn’t need constant attention but still enjoys companionship and adventure at his own pace. With his balance of independence, friendliness, and smarts, Sawyer is ready to be a loyal and easygoing addition to the right home.If you’re looking for a dog who’s past the puppy phase but still full of life and character, Sawyer is ready to meet you! This pet is available for adoption on 4/20/2026 1:55 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Tony was left on the side of the road, so there is no history on him. He has been a good boy the whole time we've had him. He loves to sit on your feet and just get pets. He loves splashing in his kiddie pool and he enjoys running around the yard. He gets along well with other dogs. He does not do well in a crate ( he broke the first and only one we ever gave him), he does still have house accidents and he occasionally chews pillows. So it is best that while you work on his anxiety that you have a space he can go in that isn't a kennel. He is a husky, so he loves to talk and tattle on his siblings. He doesn't share stuffed animals or food well 9 we are working on it)

These pups are in Union Gap, Washington too!

Story
Meet Tyra Banks, a five year old Malamute/Great Dane mix weighing 80 pounds.Tyra Banks is truly a sight to behold — with some of the longest legs we’ve ever seen on a dog! She’s so tall and elegant that we suspect she may have some Great Dane in her mix. However she could just be a very tall Malamute mix. You really have to see her in person to believe just how incredibly statuesque this girl is. She’s a total head-turner and will stand out wherever she goes!Beyond her impressive height, Tyra is a friendly and treat-motivated sweetheart. She’s happy to show off her manners and will gladly sit for a treat. She’s at that wonderful age where she’s past the puppy chaos but still has plenty of years of love, adventure, and companionship ahead of her.Tyra combines beauty, brains, and charm into one unforgettable package. If you’re looking for a unique, lovable companion who will turn heads and steal hearts, Tyra Banks is ready to meet you. This pet is available for adoption on 3/16/2026 at 5:25 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
