Meet Rogue, a four year old Husky mix weighing 51 pounds.Rogue is the kind of dog who seems to wake up every morning convinced it`s going to be the best day ever. This handsome boy has stunning ice-blue eyes, a goofy personality, and enough enthusiasm to keep a smile on your face all day long.Playful and outgoing, Rogue loves making friends wherever he goes. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys romping, wrestling, and showing off his impressive zoomies. He also did well with his finder`s small children, proving that his fun-loving personality extends to people of all ages.Rogue is a smart boy, too! He already knows `sit` and `down,` and because he`s highly treat motivated, he`s eager to keep learning. Meet Nanook, a seven-and-a-half-month-old Siberian Husky mix weighing 41 pounds. Nanook is a fluffy whirlwind of adventure, opinions, and Husky charm! His name comes from the Inuit word for “polar bear,” and honestly, it fits him perfectly with his striking looks and larger-than-life personality.Nanook is still very much a puppy at heart. Everything is exciting, every walk is an expedition, and every new person is a future best friend. He has zero stranger danger and greets the world with confidence, curiosity, and that classic Husky enthusiasm. He’s also wonderfully talkative — Husky lovers, this boy will absolutely steal your heart with his chatter, expressive face, and endless commentary on life.Like many Huskies, Nanook is intelligent, energetic, and always ready for the next adventure. He walks great on leash and loves being out exploring with his people. Whether it’s hiking trails, neighborhood strolls, or just tagging along for errands, Nanook is happiest when he’s included in the fun.Nanook came in as a stray after reportedly chasing chickens, so he may have a strong prey drive around small animals. Because he’s still young, he could benefit from continued training and structure, especially in a home with smaller pets. A Husky-savvy adopter who understands the breed’s energy, smarts, and instincts would be an amazing match for him.If you’re looking for a social, outgoing, adventurous companion who always has something to say, Nanook is ready to be your new best friend. This pet is available for adoption on 6/1/2026 10:40 AM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Meet Polar, a two-year-old Siberian Husky mix weighing around 50 pounds.Polar is a striking young dog with beautiful ice-blue eyes. He was brought in as a stray and is still figuring out the world around him, so he can seem a little unsure at first. However, every day he’s showing more confidence and starting to warm up as he learns he’s safe.On leash, Polar enjoys taking his time to explore. He’s very much a “follow his nose” kind of guy, taking in all the scents and sights at his own pace. He’s not in a rush—he’s observant, curious, and steadily building trust with the people around him. He has met another dog while with us and seems to prefer other dogs that are low-key. He tells off dogs with too much puppy energy because he just wants to chill so he would be also fine as an only dog if that is what you want. Based on his appearance and temperament, Polar likely has Siberian Husky traits. Siberian Huskies are intelligent, independent, and energetic working dogs originally bred to pull sleds over long distances in harsh Arctic conditions. They are known for their endurance, strong prey drive, and love of exploration. Huskies are often social and friendly, but can be a bit aloof or independent-minded, especially in new environments. They tend to thrive with patient handling, consistent structure, and plenty of physical and mental stimulation.Polar is still adjusting, but with time, patience, and gentle guidance, he’s likely to continue blossoming into a confident and engaging companion. He’s looking for someone who understands his independent spirit and is ready to help him grow at his own pace. This pet is available for adoption on 4/19/2026 at 5:19 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Skinny was found as a stray after spending about a week on the run before animal control was finally able to bring him to safety. Since arriving, he has shown himself to be a very sweet boy, though the world is still a little overwhelming for him right now.Everything seems new to Skinny, and while he can be nervous in unfamiliar situations, he truly wants to please and looks to people for reassurance. Despite likely having very little experience before coming in, he has already surprised everyone by walking nicely on a leash and trying his best to learn.Skinny will thrive in a patient, caring home that can give him the time, love, and socialization he needs to build confidence. Story
Meet Molly, a one year old Shepherd/Husky mix weighing 50 pounds.Molly is a gentle sweetheart looking for a family ready to show her just how wonderful life can be. She came to us as a stray alongside Mia, and it’s clear that much of the world is still very new to her. New places, new experiences, and even simple everyday things seem to be things she’s still figuring out. While Molly can be a little unsure at times, she is slightly more outgoing and a bit quicker to investigate the world around her. She appears to have had very little experience with things like walking on a leash, so it can still feel a little scary and unfamiliar, but she is trying her best and has an eager-to-please personality that will help her go far.Molly could use some TLC and a family that understands the value of patience and gentle guidance. She has a sweet, soft nature and seems ready to soak up all the love and reassurance she can get. With time and encouragement, we think Molly is going to gain confidence and continue coming out of her shell. She’s a kind girl with a lot of potential, just waiting for someone to help her discover how exciting and safe the world can be.This pet is available for adoption on 5/21/2026 2:59 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Meet Kali, a three-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix weighing 53 pounds.Kali is a sweet, gentle mom who has had a tough start in life. She was brought in as a stray along with her puppies and Khloe, who we believe is her sister. Though her past has made her a bit nervous, Kali has a quiet, loving soul just waiting for a patient, understanding home. She needs a little extra TLC and someone willing to go slow, allowing her to build trust at her own pace. Once she feels safe, Kali shows a sweet, devoted nature that makes all the patience worthwhile. She has met other dogs and has done well so she would be fine as an only dog or potentially happy to share her new home with another dog. She also did well when she saw cats but we recommend slow introductions. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion to nurture and watch blossom, Kali is ready for a calm, caring home where she can finally feel secure and cherished. She may be a little shy at first, but her heart is full of love for the right family. This pet is available for adoption on 2.17.26 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. Story
Tony was left on the side of the road, so there is no history on him. He has been a good boy the whole time we've had him. He loves to sit on your feet and just get pets. He loves splashing in his kiddie pool and he enjoys running around the yard. He gets along well with other dogs. He does not do well in a crate ( he broke the first and only one we ever gave him), he does still have house accidents and he occasionally chews pillows. So it is best that while you work on his anxiety that you have a space he can go in that isn't a kennel. He is a husky, so he loves to talk and tattle on his siblings. He doesn't share stuffed animals or food well 9 we are working on it)

Story
Bubba was welcomed into our California home in 2016 when he was about 2 weeks old. He was put into our care as his owner had gone for a family emergency to Canada. Bubba bonded with the children and when it was time to return him it was an emotional one . The owner couldn't help seeing them that way and offered to give him to us at an affordable price . Since then Bubba has been with us till our Dad passed away in 2022 . He moved with my two youngest attending college in Ellensburg. My youngest is graduating this June and we have come to the most difficult decision to find him a new home. It's been a very tough decision for all of us. My daughter is moving and we cannot keep him . He has been an indoor dog the whole time we had him. Ate twice a day morning and evening. My daughter lived out of campus so her other room mate has a dog and he was cool with it. We are truly wanting him to have a family that will love him just as we equally do. He has no health issues .
