Meet COOPER, an almost 5 year old Siberian Husky who found himself at the Harrison County Dog Pound in Cadiz, OH when his family could no longer care for him. His world may have changed, but COOPER is trying not to let it affect that big Husky smile or his rather impressive opinion of himself. COOPER lived with a little child and was very good with and tolerant of him. Like any respectable gentleman, he does have his limits, though, and when the small human exceeded COOPERs daily allotment of nonsense, hed give a bark to say the days festivities needed to come to a conclusion. COOPER loves cats, maybe too enthusiastically for some felines since he enjoys chasing them to play, unaware that some cats dont appreciate a recreational activity that includes being chased by a big Siberian Husky. When it comes to other dogs, COOPER does better with calm canines who dont have to run the show. The crown in COOPERs imaginary kingdom fits his head perfectly so why should he share it? A meetngreet with your dog will be necessary. With people, COOPER is a social butterfly. He loves making new friends. No reason to be aloof if it means there are more humans to shower him with attention. COOPER does seem to suffer a bit from a breed identity crisis. Someone might have to explain to him that hes a Husky, not a Beagle. Put that nose to the ground and hell sniff, follow, and investigate every last scent as if he was hired by the FBIs Canine Forensics Unit. COOPER is energetic and strong, and loves to run. A 4 foot fence is less of a barrier and more of a minor inconvenience. He can scale one with ease, so his future family needs to make sure he will have a secure way to enjoy the outdoors. Meet SANDY, part Husky, part Energizer Bunny, and maybe a future Olympic Gold Medal winner in Zoomies. At just 1 and a half years old, SANDY has enough energy to power a small village and enough love to fill every home in it. SANDY was surrendered to the Harrison County Dog Pound in Cadiz, OH because his family could no longer care for him. His world has changed, but his enthusiasm for life hasn’t. SANDY lived like a king. Breakfast was served at 6:30am, dinner at 4pm and bedtime at 10pm. SANDY looked forward to it because he spent most of his time being busy. Those zoomies we mentioned? He takes them very seriously. Professional speed and impressive cornering make for a serious Olympic contender. Wait, what? Zoomies aren’t an Olympic sport? Well, they should be because SANDY has been perfecting his craft. While SANDY zooms, he’s serious about it so he’ll need some space to do it. A backyard might become his next training facility. But, there’s more to SANDY than his athletic prowess. He loves walks, playing fetch and toss, and considers frozen carrot pieces a delicacy. He’s good with other dogs and kids too. In fact, he seems to know that he has to be gentle around babies. He’s also smart. He’s crate trained (crated at night and when no one is home), housebroken (goes to the door), knows sit and lay down. He’s working on roll over. He’s got the “roll” part mastered, but is still working on “over”. SANDY is up to date on vaccines, neutered and chipped. Alex is a very loving and affectionate boy. He loves attention and people! Alex loves to run and play outside, so a fenced in yard/ dog runner or room to roam outside would be ideal for him. He gets along with all the other dogs and cats in the neighborhood, and he is great with our young kids. Alex is 4 years old. I travel for work now so it is hard to give Alex the attention he needs at home. The adoption fee covers the cost of Alex’s 100 ft dog runner and his XL dog crate! Alex is a very talkative boy who loves the company of people and or other animals. He deserves a loving home where he can get the love and care he needs!

With my ginger-red coat I am the talk of the town, however, I can only be adopted in my town because I am kind of an anxious kind of fellow. I love other dogs and must be adopted with another calm/confident dog please. My new owners need to be patient and great at building confidence in me, as I never was loved on as a pup so I am still nervous with new people and in new situations.
