Story
My name is Hollywood Rose. I came to the shelter with my daughter, Melrose Ruby. We came off the Amish puppy mill farm. She has been adopted and I am still working on socializing, but have come a long way. A fenced in yard is required as I am a big flight risk . I am rather shy and would need several meet and greets to feel more comfortable. I love long walks with my special shelter person and have a few volunteers that are super cool and fun to be with! I haven't been the most fond of meeting other dogs thus far.

Story
Hi! My name is Buck. I am a 5 year old Husky/Lab mix! I am neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and current on my vaccines. 3 words that describe me: Affectionate, goofy, and playful Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: Very sweet, lots of energy and loves attention. Activity level/Energy Level (1-10): 7/10 Housetraining Status: I am housetrained! I may just need some patience while adjusting to a new home and routine. I should do well in a home: with kids and other dogs of all ages given proper introductions and time to adjust. I have never met a cat before, so my humans don’t know how I will be around them. I would love to go home with my brother Yoda! It is not required, but we do love each other very much. My favorite activities are: Playing with my brother, and enjoying tennis balls and squeaky toys. Things I need work on are: Losing some weight (I'm a very jiggly boy), manners on leash, and basic commands. So far I only know 'Sit' but I'm super smart and should catch on to other commands in no time!" Any special needs: I have a thick undercoat, and just need to be brushed regularly to keep me comfortable! My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Hello, I'm Thor! I am a 2-year-old male husky. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, mircrochipped, and neutered. 3 words that describe me: Goofy, Smart, Handsome Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I'm nervous meeting new people, although I seem to prefer women and warm up to them faster. I'm not really food or toy motivated, but I LOVE being with other dogs! I came from the same home as Ryker who has helped me come out of my shell a little bit. My friends at CRHS think I'd do even better in foster, especially with another dog friend to show me the ropes! Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 8/10 Housetraining Status: I am very good at keeping my kennel clean, although it may take me some time to adjust to a new potty routine. I should do well in a home: Due to my reliance on other dogs for comfort, I am required to go into a home with another dog. Any children in my potential home will need to be 10 years or older due to my shy nature. I did great with cats in my foster home, given proper introductions. My favorite activities are: Running around outside with Ryker, lounging in a comfy spot, and cuddling up with my favorite people. Things I need work on are: Building confidence and basic commands. Any special needs: N/A Foster Notes: "Thor is the most loving and unique dog I've ever had the pleasure of fostering. He does take time to warm up, but just needs someone willing to give him patience and grace knowing that they will be rewarded with a dog who truly sees you as his best friend. Seeing Thor blossom into such a silly and outgoing boy is an experience that I can't wait for his new family to have. I highly reccommend giving this guy a chance if you need some excitement in your life, or just want to know what unconditional love feels like." Doggy day out notes: "Thor did amazing on his DD outing! He is coming more out of his shell being out with me. Moving slow with him and low activity places are what Thor likes. He is a bit shy but warmed up to me fairly quick. Thor is so much fun to hang out with💙 I have no doubt he will do amazing in a home" "Thor did amazing on his DD outing! He is very curious and loves to sniff on walks and just being out. I've taken him on a few outings and he has really gained confidence and trusting me as his human and the outside world. Super great pup who I love hanging out with💙 He will do great in a home environment!" Hi, I'm Jaycee! I'm a 2-year-old female husky/shepherd mix. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, spayed, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Shy, Curious, Friendly Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: My friends at CRHS believe I possibly could have been used as a breeding dog previously. I am very shy with new people, so I will need a home that's willing to take things at my pace. Once I get comfortable with you I am incredibly sweet. I would do best in a calm environment. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 5 or 6/10 Housetraining Status: I am working on it, but a consistent schedule and lots of praise will help me learn even faster! I should do well in a home: Due to my shy nature any children in my potential home will need to be 8 years or older. I should do fine with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust. My friends at CRHS are unsure how I would do with cats. My favorite activities are: Sitting with a human in a calm environment and eating tasty snacks! Things I need work on are: Confidence building, housetraining, basic commands Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: N/A Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal
