MEET JACK #11!!! Jack is a sweet boy looking for his forever person. He is currently in foster and enjoying a more relaxed and safe place. Jack does have some anxiety, which results in some pacing, but he is easy to redirect. He gets along with other dogs. Jack loves to learn and could use some minor training, so he is ready for someone to teach him all they can. Jack does not do well with strangers; He will do best in a home that does not have new people coming into the home very often. Meeting new people is very scary for him. Jack is house trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash. He does get startled easily when woken, so is bests to be woken up with a vocal command rather than by touch. So it is recommended only older, (teen+) considerate children be in the home. This little boy just wants a person who will love him and give him a safe space to be himself. Greg was adopted as a puppy and enjoyed many years as the center of attention as the only dog in a home with two retirees. His owners have health issues which make them unable to care for him anymore. Family members tried to take him in, but he has not been a good fit for their home where he competes for attention with young kids and another dog after being left home alone all day. Greg is very patient with kids, but he would rather be a fun uncle who gets to play and then leave. He likes having dog friends, but he would rather not have one as a roommate. He would be a great companion for someone who is retired or works from home as he can get anxious when left alone. Although he spends most of the day lounging around, he does like to play ball and wrestle. Oh, and how cute are his ears?! Greg is good on a leash and behaves in public. He loves to eat and will steal food off your plate when you are not looking. He does have a sensitive stomach and needs grain free food that is chicken or poultry based. He also has a mild grass allergy that is controlled with Benadryl when needed. He is smart and knows basic commands, but he is also stubborn and will grumble at you when he is displeased. With the right home, he is a well-behaved dog who just wants to be with his person or people all day. He has had 2 vet visits, is neutered, microchipped with a buddy pass (Bluetooth capability any smart phone can scan the QR code to find owner information), Vaccinated x 3 DHPP (fully vaccinated), Rabies, had a 4 DX test (Testing for 2 types of Tick fever, Lyme and Heartworm, Nexgard Spectra ( Flea, Tick & Heartworm preventative), 2 dewormings, 2 fecal tests.
