The noise, chaos, fear, and constant stress became too much for him to handle. Every attempt to leash or touch him was met with panic-driven reactions — growling, lunging, biting — not because he was “bad,” but because he was scared and overwhelmed. And because of that fear… Reggie found himself placed on the euthanasia list with a deadline of 5/16. 💔 But this story doesn’t end there. Thanks to the incredible partnership with Paws Without Borders, Reggie was given the lifeline he desperately needed — a safe foster home where he can finally breathe, decompress, and learn that the world is not as scary as it once seemed. 🏡✨ Right now, Reggie is focusing on healing. He’s recovering from a URI, soaking up lots of TLC, building confidence, and beginning the slow but beautiful process of learning trust. Every soft tail wag, every curious glance, every tiny breakthrough is a victory worth celebrating. 🫶 At around 4 years old, Reggie appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier mix — intelligent, spirited, opinionated, energetic, and packed full of that classic terrier personality. Beneath the fear is a dog with so much potential, a dog who simply needed someone willing to see past the panic and into his heart. Dogs like Reggie are often misunderstood. Shelter stress can completely change a dog’s behavior, making fear look like aggression. But once given safety, patience, structure, and compassion… they begin to blossom. 🌱 And we truly believe Reggie’s best days are still ahead of him. He is NOT currently available for adoption as his focus right now is rest, recovery, and continued training support. But once he is ready, he will be available through PWB — and we cannot wait to share his transformation with all of you. 🐾❤️ Please keep Reggie in your thoughts as he begins this brand-new chapter. This is Bea, she is a 2 year-old Chihuahua/Jack Russel/Doxi mix weighing 20 pounds. She is the sweetest lady who is just looking for a proper cuddler. Bea’s only goal is to love and be loved.
