Penny joined our family as a rescue on July 10th, 2021. At the time, we believed Penny was approximately 2 years old, although we can't be certain. Penny fit right in to our family, making herself at home the minute she came through the door. Penny has been an affectionate and dedicated companion over the last 4 & a half years, and we will miss her terribly. Penny is fun, energetic, and loves to play - with some of her favorite toys being the most tattered ones in her basket. Penny also loves to snuggle and will take belly rubs at every opportunity. Penny is quite sociable and can be vocal at times, she gets excited whenever we have visitors - she likes to make sure you say hello to her when you arrive and goodbye to her when you leave. If we were not moving overseas to care for a sick family member, Penny would be with us into her hold age. We love Penny dearly and are looking for a family that will provide Penny with lots of love, snuggles, walks, play time, and attention.

I got him originally in 2019 in Central Texas when I was stationed there (Army). I got him from a military spouse. He is 9 years old. He doesn't do well with other animals, but is okay with kids. He is a very anxious dog and scared of male figures until he gets used to you. He doesn't bite, he doesn't chew on things or go to the bathroom inside (house trained). He does have a problem with digging (outside) and always running out if he gets a chance. He doesn't run away, but more so he goes out for a run for a while until he decides to come back.

Trust me when I tell you that she is! She just looks more like the boxer in her...like a tiny boxer! Thelma is really a sweet girl once she gets to know you. Earning her trust has been such a satisfying experience and so worth any time that it has taken. She is 8 years old and weighs around 18 pounds. She is a stocky little firecracker, which is one of her best traits but can also get her into trouble with some pups. She can be a bit of a bully to other females so she would do best with a male pup in the home or as an only dog to a human who is home much of the time. She arrived with her sister, Louise, and we thought they were bonded. But now that some time has passed, we realize that though they love each other, they do not rely on each other. Thelma is a quick learner and has done well with initial leash training. She will need to be adopted in the So Cal area and must have a secure backyard.
