She’s a perfect little lady. Miss Frankie is well mannered and well trained. She loves to be held. She loves to be kissed a million times. She loves sleeping under the blankets. She has a stuffed animal I call her baby and she carries it with her from room to room. She will definitely be a velcro dog. Her favorite thing to do is sit with you and just love you. Miss Frankie needs a home with no other dogs. Like many female JRTs she wants to be the queen bee! She requires a home with no kiddos. Also, no little critters like hamsters or parakeets and no farm animals. Miss Frankie needs a fenced in yard. No electronic fencing. No wrought iron unless it is screened. Miss Frankie is only 6 years old and we are looking for an adopter that will be with her until the end of her life, which could be as long as 12 more years. We are looking for someone to be with her for the rest of her life. Her new owner needs to be energetic enough to take her for some walks and be with her out in the yard and keep her engaged. Meet Winston 🐾 Winston is a 2-year-old Jack Russell Terrier / Beagle mix with the sweetest, most soulful eyes and a gentle heart to match. At 28 pounds, he’s the perfect medium size—big enough to enjoy adventures, yet small enough to be an excellent cuddle companion. Winston is initially a bit timid in new situations, but once he feels safe, his loving personality shines. With time and reassurance, he becomes very affectionate and truly enjoys attention. He loves relaxing on the couch, sleeping in bed with his people, and being close to those he trusts. He is mostly house trained and does best with a consistent routine. Winston is good with other dogs and has done well around children who are respectful of his gentle nature. While he hasn’t been formally tested with cats, his calm, easygoing temperament suggests he would likely do fine with proper introductions. Winston loves snacks and takes treats very gently, which perfectly reflects his soft personality. He’s still learning about leash walking and doesn’t love it yet, so he’ll need a patient adopter who can help him build confidence at his own pace using positive reinforcement. He is not crate-trained and currently sleeps on the couch or in bed—comfort and closeness are important to him once he feels secure. Winston is neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready for his forever home. Winston’s Perfect Home 🏡 Winston would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands he may need a little time to feel safe and settled. A predictable daily routine will help him continue to build confidence and succeed with house training. His ideal home includes: • A person or family who is gentle, patient, and affectionate • A home that values companionship and connection • Another friendly dog (optional, but he does well with canine friends) • Respectful children who understand giving a shy dog space at first • Someone willing to work slowly on leash confidence • A home where couch time and bedtime cuddles are welcome With patience, love, and consistency, Winston will blossom into a deeply loyal and affectionate companion. Story
Leo is a 7 year old neutered terrier mix that we adopted in 2020 in Gainesville, Georgia (we’ve since moved to Oak Park, IL, to be closer to our parents). We’ve had him for 6 wonderful years, and he’s been a calm, loyal companion throughout that time. Leo thrives in quiet, predictable environments and would be happiest in a home with a retired adult or someone who spends a lot of time at home, as he loves to simply rest beside his person. He spent lots of time at my grandparents house in Georgia, and they adored him, he would just lay at their feet all day while they watched TV. That peaceful, steady environment is where he has been happiest, and I want to find him a forever home that will provide that same calm and companionship. He will remain with us until the perfect match is found.
