Meet Petals! She is a one year old sweet girl who loves to be around people and give as many kisses as possible! If you are looking for a fun and happy girl, Petals is your perfect dog! She has been working hard on her training! She does very well on a leash, has perfected sit, and will follow stay even when food is in front of her!! Petals is very social and gets super excited when visitors come so is currently focusing on learning not to greet visitors on her two paws with hugs. She has been hanging out with her foster family who has a dog for her to play with for 4 months now. She loves walks, toys, and welcoming laps most of all. She also enjoys making visits to her neighbors to say hi and visit the chickens! Petals is crate trained and doing well with her house training. She is currently 48lbs and shouldn’t get much bigger. Hi, I’m Lacey. I am a terrier mix around 4.5 months old and weigh around 13 lbs. I have been with my foster family for about 2 months now. I am potty trained, sleep through the night, know “sit’, “down” and “go to crate”. They have helped me come out of my shell along with the help of their confident dogs. Having another playful, confident dog in my forever home would be best for me.  It would be best if any children in the home are 15+years old as sometimes kids can seem scary to me. My forever family will require a lot of patience and time to help me become free of fear and learn how to trust. If you let me get comfortable around you at my own pace and make the necessary preparations to help me feel at home, you’ll likely find your new best friend in me Lacey's home will need to have a fully fenced in yard - no invisible or partial fences, please. “Ren” - 5 month old Jack Russell terrier mix puppy; he is currently only 10.6# so doesn’t weigh a lot, but is very tall! Ren will probably reach 20-30 pounds when fully grown. He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, tested negative for heartworms and is on heartworm/flea prevention. Ren was found in the middle of a very busy highway - he ran right to his rescuer as soon as he saw him! Ren is a super outgoing, playful, and energetic dude. He loves all people and gets along/plays well with other dogs (big and small). He has not been exposed to cats yet. He is doing very well with crate and house training but as he is still a puppy, we would not call him housetrained just yet. But with regular outside potty breaks, he does very well!! Since he is still a baby, Ren will need continued training on basic obedience, leash skills, and manners (just like any other puppy). But he works well for food and loves love, so training should be a breeze! We transport every other weekend to the Northeast and Great Lakes using the most animal-friendly transport on the road; Rescue Riders Pet Transport. If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Elise is an energetic 2-3 year old cute little female Jack Russell/Australian cattle dog mix who weighs in at 25 pounds.  Elise acts and moves a lot like a Jack Russell, and has the the speckled coat and taller height of a cattle dog.  She is fully housetrained and knows how to sit nicely for a treat.  She quickly learned “shake” and seems pretty smart.  Elise is super affectionate and loving!  She loves to be held and pet and would love nothing more than to be with her humans all day.  Elise prefers to keep all that love for herself and requests to be the only dog in the home.  She is a very good watch dog, barking to let you know there is someone at the door.  Once the person is inside and settle, she will be their best friend.  Elise is a loyal and loving dog and will make a great companion!  Elise is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and housetrained, and spayed.  Her new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.
