Story
Meet Trudy! This genuinely sweet gal was found in Puerto Rico, she had previously found shelter in an abandoned house. She was a very happy girl when someone finally came for her and she is ready to go to a home where she will be most cherished for the down-to-earth and wiggly girl she is! She`d love to be snuggled with at night, and she enjoys any kisses and any extra loving that you can spare. Trudy knows how to sit and stay when entering a door, and is pretty good about letting you know when she needs to go outside. She has been fostered with both cats and dogs, she doesn`t seem to mind either or having some new friends. Trudy will bring lots of laughter and love to your family for many years to come! Want to meet Trudy? You can submit an application to Capeannanimalaid.org/dogapp

Story
Dot says “15 who?” We think you meant 5. Dot is still spry, present, and fully part of the pack. Don’t let the number fool you. This girl is not done living. She’s engaged, social, and clearly enjoying her days. Dot was seized as part of a cruelty case after she and her friend Lola were found abandoned in a home, left to fend for themselves for weeks in unsafe conditions surrounded by trash, feces, and urine. What she endured is heartbreaking. What’s remarkable is who she still is despite it. Dot is a true testament to resilience, strength, and an unshakable will to live. She does well with dogs of all ages and sizes and is also good with cats. Prior to being abandoned, Dot lived with children of various ages and handled that environment well. Now it’s her turn to be cherished. Dot is looking for a home where she can keep rocking her golden years, surrounded by comfort, kindness, and people who see her not as “old,” but as exactly who she is. A good dog with plenty of life left to enjoy.   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.   ##2636794##

Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Chica, the suspected JRT! She is approximately 2 years old, 13 lbs currently and we think she may have some Jack Russell Terrier in her mix. She joined our rescue after her former family was unable to continue to care for her. In her foster home, she is working hard on her house and crate training, but hasn`t had any experience walking on leash. She could go to a home with kids 5+, dog-savvy cats, and other dogs. No apartments, please! Her foster says, `If you are missing a pretty little dancing princess in your life, Chica can fill that void!Chica is a low maintenance, head in your lap to get loves in a blankie kinda girl. Does well with pottying outside when kept on a schedule. Does great ignoring mean cats if you have one, and does enjoy chasing and barking at the other household pups. Chica will even make sure you get a full nights sleep while she sleeps on a puppy bed with a blankie by your bed.`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on January 30th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
