Story
Rosie (DOB 11/01/2025) is a gentle, calm, and slightly shy Jack-a-poo (Toy Poodle and Jack Russell). She is very quiet, rarely barks, and loves to cuddle and stay close to her people. Rosie is fully crate trained and sleeps comfortably in her crate all night. She gets along well with other dogs. She has a beautiful black coat with chestnut tones (likely becoming lighter over time), a lovely white marking from her chin to chest, and long, elegant Poodle-like legs. We are looking to rehome Rosie to a loving, committed home due to a move to pet-restricted housing. Jack-a-Poos are a relatively rare designer mix, loved for combining the intelligence and low-shedding coat of a Toy Poodle with the loyalty and charm of a Jack Russell. They are known to bond deeply with their people and make devoted, affectionate companions. If you feel confident that you can provide a loving home for Rosie, please apply here or submit your application at: https://www.kindredcanines.org/adoption-application

Story
My name is Theo, I’m a happy guy who lives for the simple things. If you have a fluffy toy, I will gladly show you my "surgical skills" by pulling all the stuffing out for you! I also think snowstorms are the best thing ever—there’s nothing like doing zoomies in a fresh drift. If it’s not snowing weather, you can usually find me swimming; I’m a total water dog at heart. And when the day is done? I am a professional-level snuggler. Recently, my Mommy had a human baby. I love my family so much, but having a tiny human around makes me anxious. I get way too excited, and because I’m a bouncy guy, I can be a little too rough without meaning to be. It’s been stressful for all of us, and my parents want me to be in a home where I can truly relax and be myself. This is the hardest decision my Mommy & Daddy have had to make so they would love to find a family that wouldn’t mind staying in touch once in a while. A photo or an update here or there would mean the world to them.

He has a medium energy level and enjoys getting his wiggles out with walks, playtime, or exploring outside, then settles nicely for downtime with his people. He brings a joyful presence to everyday life and thrives when he has a balance of activity and routine.Pokey is friendly, social, eager to engage and loves playing with other dogs. He does well living with cats and generally leaves them alone, showing minimal interest and good respect for their space. Pokey would do best with older kids, 10 and up who can appreciate his playful nature and help reinforce good manners.Pokey is fully house trained and crate trained with consistency and routine. He’s a quick learner and already knows basic commands like sit, down, paw, come, leave it, and off. He’s continuing to work on his leash skills and will keep improving with practice and consistency.Pokey is an always-happy companion who loves being part of the action and then snuggliest boy after a chance to get some energy out. Story
Treasure is one of three tiny sisters and the largest and most confident puppy of the litter. She’s curious, bold, and always eager to explore her surroundings. Treasure is especially intrigued by cats and would very much like to go “talk” to them. She’s an adventurer who will happily investigate new patches of grass or approach new dogs long before her sisters feel ready.   Because she’s a bit of a daredevil, Treasure will do best in a home where she has appropriate supervision and guidance as she grows. She’s currently learning potty training basics and is crate-trained, making great progress for her age.   Rescue story: Treasure and her sisters, Charm and Trinket, were surrendered by their family. While the family agreed to have their mama dog spayed, they declined to surrender her.   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.) To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. PLEASE READ:  •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.  •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.    •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments. Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well. Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation. For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com. The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. Sandy Paws Rescue’s MA license number # 0272 ##2641695##

Story
Trinket is one of three tiny sisters and the definition of quietly sweet. She’s the middle baby of the litter, not the boldest and not the smallest, but perfectly balanced in both size and personality. At 8.4 lbs, she sits right between her sisters and carries herself the same way: thoughtful, gentle, and observant.   She can be shy when meeting new people, and instead of charging in, Trinket prefers to be held like a baby until she feels safe. Once she does, she settles quickly and shows her soft, affectionate side. She’s not dramatic or chaotic, just a tender little soul who likes reassurance and consistency.   Trinket is currently learning potty training basics and is being crate-trained. She’s doing exactly what a puppy her age should be doing, making steady progress with structure and routine.   Rescue story: Trinket and her sisters, Charm and Treasure, were surrendered by their family. The family agreed to have their mama dog spayed but chose not to surrender her.   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)
