Story
**Courtesy Post** Buddy is a beautiful rough coat gentleman. He is 13 years old and the person he loves most in the world is ill. That is why he needs another home. He needs a fenced yard and someone who loves him. At his age he probably will not do great with other rambunctious dogs. He will not do well with cats or kiddos under 12 years of age. You must have a good vet reference to adopt Buddy. If you are interested, please contact Buddy’s owner and they will email you an adoption application. There is a small rehoming fee. Buddy’s adopter must be able to drive to Shelby Township, Michigan to get him. Contact: snyder4life2@gmail.com

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Sophiee is such a sweet dog. She wants to be with her people 24/7 but does good in a crate if needed. She does great with my 8 month old dog along with my 11.5 yr old dog. She is non-aggressive with cats but may chase if they run. I have had a cat with her and rubbing on her with no problem. She loves kids. She likes water and to swim. We have taken her camping with us numerous times. She is reactive but non aggressive and rarely barks. She loves everyone she meets. she loves to sleep in bed right next tp you and doesn't mind. blanket to cover up with. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. December 8, 2023, 3:16 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Buttercup.  She appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier/Chihua mix about 5-6 months old.  She has wisps of hair around her face and body.  She is very new to the rescue, so we are still learning about her.  What we know so far is that she is a little nervous in new situations, but that is possible due to all the sudden changes in her life. However, at this time, we would not recommend her for a family with young children [12 and under].   Buttercup will be visiting the vet soon for a health exam.  At that time she will receive any needed vaccines and be microchipped.  Buttercup is already spayed.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 8, 2023, 10:47 am

Story
Sparky was a lost stray coming from California! After flyers and fruitless searching, we adopted him and now he lives with me in Plymouth, MI. He loves to jump, play, is loving and is all around energetic but nothing to erratic. He's a good, well behaved fella...I just work tooo much! I have (2) jobs and work about 70+ hours sometimes a week and he's just so lonely. He is crated, potty trained and groomed every other month -> he's very well taken care of!

Story
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. MEET MYRRH: Myrrh is a 5 month old, 10lb, scruffy small breed terrier mix. He was rescued from an overcrowded shelter where he was nervous and skeptical of unfamiliar faces and places. He has come a long way but still takes some time to warm up to new people. Therefore, he would do best in a quieter home without children. He needs a patient caretaker who can provide a calm and understanding environment. While Myrrh may not be the most social butterfly at first, he forms strong bonds with his humans once he feels safe. He has already demonstrated an understanding of house manners and crate training, making him a great potential companion. However, he is not yet comfortable on a leash and prefers the safety of a physical fenced yard instead of being tethered. Myrrh has done well with other dogs and shows no interest in cats, making him a potential fit for multi-pet households. His wired hair coat requires minimal maintenance, but regular grooming is still recommended. He is not expected to grow much larger, so he will remain a small-sized dog. Being a young puppy, Myrrh still exhibits puppy-like energy and curiosity. As a result, his adopter should be prepared to keep up with his antics and take precautions to ensure he doesn't get underfoot. Overall, Myrrh is a charming young pup who needs a loving and patient person to provide him with a stable and secure home. If you are willing to give him the time and attention he needs, Myrrh will surely become a loyal and devoted member of your family. Myrrh is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedScheduled for neuter surgery at our partner Veterinary office. ADOPTION FEE: $375 FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI.
