Story

This is Frank. He is a very active little guy and needs places to run. He hates his kennel, but can stay in for small amounts of time. Do not recommend apartment living at all for this pup. He has some extreme anxiety getting his nails cut. He’s had to do sedated nail trims twice. He is fully neutered and loves runs at the dog park. He does well off leash and attaches nicely. We have three small children and he is very good with them, but will snatch food out of someone’s hands if he has the opportunity. I do not recommend having small animals at home (bunnies, lizards, and such.) Loves long walks, treats and being UNDER the blanket. Very snuggly little guy. Needs help with housebreaking and consistent schedules. Overall, he is a wonderful dog with some anxious habits.

Ace is an 8 month old male, purebred jack russell terrier. He is super playful, loving, & the best cuddle buddy. He’s very smart & will do/learn just about anything for a treat. He loves people & other dogs (not sure about cats). He has tons of personality and will make you laugh all the time. One of his many quirks is he LOVES ice cubes, anytime I’m in the freezer to fill up my water bottle he appears at my feet lol. For his new home I’m looking for someone who has a lot of time to spend to give him the attention & enrichment that he needs. He’s high energy and loves outdoors, so someone down for adventure and regular exercise & activities would be a perfect match for him. He could easily thrive in a household with other dogs, but specifically dogs with his temperament and energy level (an older dog would probably get sick of him as he’s a BIG player, so he needs a playmate).

Jack is a purebred jack russell terrier who will be 2 years old on 4/9/26. He has lots of personality and will never fail to make you laugh. He’s loving, cuddly, playful, and vocal! He is also SUPER smart and knows almost all of the tricks you could think of including “playing dead”, he’s recently even learned to turn light switches off. For his new home I’m looking for someone who can give him the attention and love he needs. He is a super active dog and very toy driven (specifically chew toys and squeaker toys). Someone who lives an active lifestyle with a yard to run and play would be a perfect fit for Jack. He is good with people and kids, and other dogs his size (not typically bigger dogs and not sure about cats). He’s coming from a home with another JRT and they get along great, but Jack has major main character energy and could also thrive in a home as the only animal!

Chippy Dip is 9.5 years old and appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier (mix?). He was adopted from ODAS but surrendered by his owner 4.5 years later...(no fault of his own) with his companion, Dippy (Chihuahua/Dachshund mix--see his profile). Chippy Dip is a senior dog and has his FAVORITE toy he carries with him everywhere (which will go to his new home with him!). He is a senior dog and gets around a bit slowly (as we all do when we age) and doesn't see the best (but isn't blind), so he'll do best in an adult home only (he doesn't much care for children anyway--LOL). Chippy Dip is afraid of loud noises (vacuum, thunder, the other dogs barking at this shelter!). He doesn't much care for cats and would prefer to be the only dog. Chippy Dip and Dippy seem to get along fine together here, but Chippy Dip doesn't care much for "new" dogs. We won't require they stay together--but they'd prefer to stay together as they've lived together for the past four years. Chippy Dip is toy and food motivated, can be quiet/shy, but loves playing with his toy and napping. He would prefer to have a home where his person/people were home most of the time. His tail wags constantly, but he's scared and doesn't understand why he's here...
