This sweetheart was rescued from a breeding/hoarding situation. This property had around 100 animals on site. They are learning all about what it means to be inside and loved. They would love to continue their learning with you! All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, Heartworm tested, and current on vaccinations and preventions prior to adoption. At the time of adoption all dogs are signed up with a unique Safe Paws QR pet ID tag, the adopter is required to maintain a monthly membership of $2.99/month for (at minimum) the first year. This helps insure your new furry family member makes his way back to you if lost. Leashes and collars are also required at the time of adoption. You are welcome to bring your own, or we have plenty to chose from at the shelter as well. Our shelter is located at 10312 East 63rd Street in Raytown, MO. We are open to meet pets Tuesday through Friday from 10-6, and on Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. We are closed on Mondays.

Hi, I’m Leroy! I just turned five years old, and my vet said I’m a full bred long haired Jack Russell Terrier. I’m neutered and I have all my shots. I’m about 50 pounds but my vet said I probably need to go on a diet ha! I’m not picky about what I eat, although I haven’t really been allowed to eat people food. I’m kennel trained, I’d love to sleep in bed with you but if that’s not allowed, I feel very safe sleeping in my kennel at night. Sadly, my owners are moving and I can’t go with them, I’ve been with them since I was 8 weeks old. I’m good with dogs that aren’t bigger than me, and my sister is a cat who wants to play with me but I’m not quite sure how you’re supposed to play with a cat so mostly she just terrorizes me. I love to be outside most of the time, although I’m a bit scared of the dark and of thunder. I really need some room to run, so a fenced yard would be great. I love to play, so I have a toybox full of them that I can bring with me along with my kennel.
