Welcome Oliver to CCPAL Rescue. Oliver is an 8-month old Jack Rat (Jack Russell/Rat Terrier). He is about 12 pounds and is a small dog with a scruffy and wire-haired coat. He is a lower shedding dog and would make a great walking companion. He is confident, social, outgoing, affectionate and adorable. He isn’t clingy but likes being held and is great with other dogs. He is in the puppy play group with girls, boys and dogs bigger and older than him. I would think his breed would love to chase squirrels out of the yard. He is good in his kennel and not overly vocal. He is getting his vaccines and will be neutered and ready for his forever home soon. He is adorable. He would be fine as a family dog with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is fine with baths and nail trims. He is learning leash manners. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. ***ALL ANIMALS ARE CURRENTLY IN MISSISSIPPI.*** We transport adopted animals every 2-3 weeks to Northeast states.  ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not breed or DNA test.*** Adoption fees include transport, vetting and a MS Health Certificate to travel. Story
Nod is neutered Jack Russell/Rat Terrier mix born about February 2024. He was found as a stray (Nod is a biblical name that means “wanderer”) and is being fostered by a very nice family who have become fond of him. Unfortunately their dog doesn’t like sharing the home, so they can’t keep him but will foster until Nod gets a good home. He loves to snuggle and not at all a “wild” terrier. He is house trained, leash trained, good with dogs, seems to ignore cats, and is very happy. Adoption fee is $95.    This covers the cost of spay/neuter, DHPP, Rabies, Flea, tick, heart worm check, worm treatment, and microchip.
