My name is Theo, I’m a happy guy who lives for the simple things. If you have a fluffy toy, I will gladly show you my "surgical skills" by pulling all the stuffing out for you! I also think snowstorms are the best thing ever—there’s nothing like doing zoomies in a fresh drift. If it’s not snowing weather, you can usually find me swimming; I’m a total water dog at heart. And when the day is done? I am a professional-level snuggler. Recently, my Mommy had a human baby. I love my family so much, but having a tiny human around makes me anxious. I get way too excited, and because I’m a bouncy guy, I can be a little too rough without meaning to be. It’s been stressful for all of us, and my parents want me to be in a home where I can truly relax and be myself. This is the hardest decision my Mommy & Daddy have had to make so they would love to find a family that wouldn’t mind staying in touch once in a while. Bambi also did great when she met some cats on the property! She wanted to sniff them and tried to initiate play, lol. If she were to be in a home with a cat, it would definitely need to be a dog savvy feline who doesn’t mind the occasional puppy sniffs! She spent few days in her temporary foster home with a kitty and she did wonderfully! She did want to play with her new feline friend, so Bambi may not be every kitties cup of tea. But she sure is ours! She is a smaller girl who would do well in an apartment or house setting. But it’s important to note that when you offer her treats, she does say “please” in a loud way. So if you are in an apartment, thicker walls or cool neighbors would be best. She hasn’t been around small children but she has been fine around teens! We believe she would do well in a home with dog savvy older children who would enjoy spending time playing fetch and other games with her! OTHER PETS: Gump is barrier reactive with dogs, meaning he may bark and growl when he encounters a dog through a barrier like a fence or gate. Without the barrier, though, he's as jumpy and excited as he usually is. He can be pushy with other dogs, though, and may be too much for some. He did seem more unsure around larger male dogs, but may do well with a dog that can match his energy. [Case-By-Case (Must Meet First)]OWNER EXPERIENCE: Gump is still young with a good amount of puppy energy, and would do best with someone that can keep up with him and his athletic ambitions. Someone that has experience with energetic dogs will be the easiest fit, but someone that can be committed to learning and understanding positive reinforcement training will be ideal. [Some Experience]KIDS: Gump was tolerant of handling, but was a little uncomfortable when feeling restrained. He's also got the heart of an athlete and may be apt to bouncing off of the nearest vertical landing, so he would likely do best around older kids that aren't knocked over easily.
