Eddie is a cute Jack Russel mix, probably about 1-year-old and weighing 16-pounds. This poor boy was abandoned with his siblings, left to fend for themselves, before they were rescued a couple of months ago. When Eddie first entered his foster home, he was terrified of everything.. He still is scared of new people and places, but is getting more comfortable in new surroundings. Eddie is now enjoying 'the good life' in his foster home. He has been fully vetted and is crate trained and housetrained. Still a puppy, Eddie has plenty of energy, and loves to run and play chase with other dogs, or chase the resident squirrels. He definitely needs a fenced yard to be able to expend all his energy safely. He is making progress at walking on a leash, but we feel he needs more exercise than just walking, to be healthy and happy. Eddie is a very smart boy, and his foster parents have taught him to 'sit', 'lay', play fetch, and do high-fives. He loves hanging out on the couch with his people, getting petted, and especially loves his play toys and chew bones. He can entertain himself for a long time, just dragging out all the toys in his toy basket! He has not yet learned to put them back! Eddie Enjoys the companionship of other dogs, and we feel he will do best in a home with another young, playful, and self- assured dog. Since Eddie's still timid in new situations, a self-assured and friendly dog should help him be more comfortable in his new home. Eddie also does well with the resident cat in his foster home, although the cat doesn't show any interest in playing with him. Eddie is a healthy little pup. He is current on his vaccinations... he has had 2 Dist/Parvo vaccines, a Bordetella and his Rabies vaccine. He has been neutered, microchipped, tested negative for Heartworms, and is on Heartguard for Heartworm prevention. Eddie's adoption fee is $350.00 Eddie is a loving, sweet, active, and smart little boy who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that you would like to add Eddie to your family, please submit an application by going to our website foreverhomek9rescue.org for an application and email the completed application to us at foreverhomek9rescue@yahoo.com. You can also submit an application by going to: https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption/ (cut and paste). Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home! Although Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.

Story
Peyton came to PAR from an extreme hoarding situation. He has come a long way and is slowly learning how to be part of a family. However, he is still very scared, quite skittish, and very submissive. He selectively plays with other dogs, but is cautious of dogs and people. Peyton will require a very patient adopter and special home to help him be the dog he can be. Prior experience with a dog from hoarding situation would be ideal.   Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications  We do charge a nonrefundable application fee of $10 to ensure that you are serious about adopting the pet.  We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. Story
Ethel is a sweet little pup who is full of energy and love. She loves belly rubs and hanging outside with her brother soaking up the sun...she also loves to play fetch!! The senior cat in her foster home does not seem to mind having a puppy in the house...Like many puppies, Ethel can be a little mouthy at times... But she's learning that that's not acceptable with a little "NO" She knows to do her business on the puppy pads and outside. She loves sleeping and cuddling up with her brother.  Ethel would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and/ or an active home with someone to play with her to burn off all her energy. Ethel is a really great pup who make a wonderful addition to a loving home.    Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.
