Meet Uno! *Please read full bio before inquiring.* Cross-posted. Breed: JRT/chihuahua mix. Age: approx 2 years (8/25/23). Weight: est 24ish lbs. Training: crate trained, it's his safe place. House trained when on a schedule. He isn't leash trained. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes to dogs, no to cats. Good with adults/kids? Adults/kids he knows, yes. Only kids 10+. Personality: loves his people. He loves sunbathing and being a couch potato, and overall snuggling. He is scared of thunderstorms. Reason for rescue: Uno has been much loved, but unfortunately it is best for him to find a home with kids 10 years +. Uno loves his people with his whole heart. He is very loyal to his people. He doesn't do well with strangers coming into his home/yard. He would do best with a fenced yard. He has been trained on an invisible fence and it works well for him. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. If interested in adding Uno to your family, please message for an adoption application! Adoption fee: $75.September 16, 2025, 9:50 pm

Story
Meet Lady! This sweet girl’s story starts with heartbreak - dumped in a neighborhood and too scared to let anyone near her for three long days. It’s clear life hasn’t been kind to her. She’s had babies, probably been let down more than once, and learned the hard way that not all humans are safe. But even after all that… she still chooses love! Now safe in a foster home, she’s showing her gentle, loyal heart. She loves her people (especially older kids) and once she trusts you, she’ll love you with everything she has. She’s laid back, crate-loving, respects our cats, and just starting to believe she’ll never be left behind again. We think she is around 6 years old, and a Jack Russell terrier mix of some sort! We will continue working on her confidence and sharing love with other dogs - but one things for sure: she’s already a keeper. Quiet, gentle and learning to trust again - she is going to make an amazing companion. Interested parties must complete an adoption application on our website. Breed, age, and size are not guaranteed.

Story
Meet Tyson 💛 — a sweet senior Jack Russell mix looking for a soft place to land. Tyson is a 10-year-old Jack Russell mix with a whole lot of heart…and no teeth, which means you’ll often catch a little tongue peeking out in the most endearing way. It’s part of his charm. He can be a bit reserved at first and likes to take a moment to warm up, but once he does, Tyson becomes your loyal little shadow, quietly following you from room to room. He’s a low-energy couch potato who’s happiest curled up beside you, making him the perfect companion for relaxed days and cozy nights. Tyson is very food motivated (soft treats are his love language) and does an adorable tippy-tappy paw dance when he’s excited or waiting for a snack. It’s impossible not to smile watching him. Sadly, Tyson’s original dog mom passed away over the holidays, and he’s been a bit confused by all the changes. What he’s really looking for now is someone kind and patient to ride out his golden years with—a calm home, steady love, and a comfy couch to call his own. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate senior who will repay your love with quiet companionship and endless gratitude, Tyson just might be your guy. 🐾💙 --- To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html

Story
Meet your new best friend Frederick! This guy is the perfect combination of goofy and chill! At 20 lbs and 4 years old, he is “fun sized” and loves to do all things with his people like a true lap dog. However, he has an adventurous side and loves to go on walks, play fetch, and enjoys hanging out with other dogs. He is also a little socialite and hasn’t met a person or dog he doesn’t like. He is such a happy guy in general, he even starts to smile with his teeth sometimes! As if Fred doesn’t already sound too good to be true, he is also potty trained, knows sit, and waits for permission to join his foster family on the couch. He is working on leash training and crate training, but both are going very well based on his natural desire to please. Don’t miss out on your new best friend, apply for Fred today!! --- To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html

This is a courtesy post. Please do not contact Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue for information. Contact information is provided in the description below.Meet Popcorn a 10 year old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix. She loves food! She is potty trained to go outside. She prefers to be let out in fenced in yard and go potty and comes straight back to door when she’s done. She does not like extreme heat. She lives indoors and loves her own bed. She does not mind being kenneled. Popcorn loves back/ booty scratches. She does have some anxiety with thunder storms and likes to be close to someone during the rumbles. She lives with two cats and rat terrier. She does not do well with large dogs. She loves food and treats obviously. We give her a treat each time she potties and at bed time. She is on heartworm preventative/ flea pill once month. If you are interested in Popcorn, please contact Cathy at Kittycatbut@gmail.com
