Story
Lita is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. We know that Lita is a wire-haired Jack Russell Terrier mix. She is just over 1 year of age and she weighs 21 pounds. Lita also has an adorable head tilt. She is sweet, active, and playful. She loves to be cuddled and petted. At first, Lita was terrified of the other dogs, but now she loves to run and play with all of the other dogs. Lita does like to chase cats. Lita is a JRT, she is very smart, and she will jump a 4'-5' fence or gate to go chase a squirrel or cat. She must have a secure 6' fence to prevent escape. We put a training collar on her for about a week and she quickly learned to stay in the yard and to come when called. Lita is crate-trained and will run and get in her crate when it is time to do so. She obviously received no training from the person who previously had her, but she is very smart and learns quickly. Lita may need more work with housetraining and her house manners have gotten much better - she no longer chews on things that she is not supposed to. Lita must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and must have a secure, 6-foot-tall fenced yard to run and play. Lita is healthy. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is negative for heartworms and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Litas' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Akron, Columbus, or Cincinnati Ohio. She is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Story
This little girl is the total definition of puppy love. She gives you sweet looks that tug at those heart strings. She can be feisty when needed (she is fostering with three other girls and sometimes it can be like the movie Mean Girls) Sometimes it is everyone for themselves but 95% of the time they are playing nicely or huddled up in a cuddle snuggle fest sound asleep. Kennedy has a super soft coat with adorable coloring. She is fostering with a great foster family where she is surrounded by other pups and learning lots of socialization skills. No doubt whomever is lucky enough to make this girl part of their family is going to be thrilled with her sweet and sassy attitude. Once adopted Kennedy will travel via private transport (transport cost is $160.00) to a location closest to you. Story
Name: Mally Gender: Female Age: 3 months Current Weight: 15 lbs Expected Adult Size: Medium (25-50 lbs) Breed: Terrier mix Energy Level: High Dog Friendly: Yes, and can have other dogs in the home or can be an only dog   Cat Friendly: Unknown Kid Friendly: Yes, any age Apartment Friendly: Unknown Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence preferred but not required with regular walks/exercise Crate Trained:  Yes Potty Trained: Yes Ideal Home/Adopter: Mally's ideal home would have the time and patience to dedicate to a puppy of her age and energy level. She is currently not used to being left alone for long periods of time, so the ability to at least come home on lunch breaks to let her get a break from the crate, go potty, and get the sillies out will help her succeed during the day and be more manageable outside of working hours. Mally will thrive with positive reinforcement training (SUPER treat and praise motivated), so someone with some basic dog training skills or the means to take her to puppy classes would be fantastic for her. We also think having a tolerant, playful dog friend in the home would set her up for continued success. Likes: Being outside in the sunshine, stuffed toys that squeak, giving kisses and being held, playing with other dogs, finding sticks, being near people. Dislikes: Mally currently can get a little carsick, so she'll need someone to keep car rides positive for her and help her work through this. She is not a fan of being alone but we think this is mostly her age/current puppy stage at this time versus actual anxiety. Cold feet (frosty grass makes her shiver but she doesn't mind quick romps in the snow). Play pens. What makes this dog special: Hi there! I’m Mally! I’m around 3 months old and a petite little princess. My foster mom tells me I have the prettiest eyes and that my shiny silver fur feels like velvet (whatever that is). I’m a puppy through and through which means I “nap hard, play hard”. I still have a mouth full of puppy teeth that require lots of things to chew on to keep me entertained and from getting into too much mischief. They’ve also earned me the nickname “Malligator” because I sometimes get so excited when giving kisses or playing that I just can’t control the chomps quite yet but I promise I am working on it! I’m really good about sleeping in my crate for naps and overnight, but I sometimes fuss about it at first because I HATE being away from the action. Don’t try to put me in a play pen though, I’m really talented at climbing my way out to get closer to you even if you're in the same room. I’m receiving an A++ in potty training and I will look to you immediately to tell me I did a good job. Did I tell you that I LOVE treats and sit so pretty waiting for them? I would love to have a playful big brother or sister dog to show me the ropes and wrestle with. I think I would also be fine with tolerant furryy cacti (aka cats) but will need to learn some consistent manners towards them first. If you’re looking for a dedicated best friend to join you on life’s adventures, consider me your girl! Mally's adoption fee is $400. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in Mally, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved. ##1915937##

Story
Robbie came to us with his mommy from a high kill shelter in Texas. They were due to be euthanized and had ringworm, so sadly, no rescues were tagging this pair. Ringworm is very treatible, just not desirable because of the treatment involved. Robbie is ringworm free and ready to find a home. He is vaccinated and has two boosters, neutered and microchipped. Robbie is a typical high energy puppy, full of life and love. He is not housebroken yet, but improving, so his new family will have to work with him. He is also working on leash walking and is making progress with that as well. Robbie is a fun little boy and just wants a family to love and call his own. His adopters need to be in this for the long run and must be prepared to patiently train this little guy as he grows and matures. Every puppy is different and will learn at their own pace. If you think this cutie is just what you are looking for and would like to meet him, please submit an application on our website, canaananimalsanctuary.org.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Say Hello to Chi Chi! This little sweetie is looking for her forever home and is hoping you will come soon. While she's waiting, she has entered the DASH Prison Training Program to prepare for you. She is learning basic commands like sit, stay, down and wait but would love for you to continue her training and guide her with your personal touch. She is a sensitive soul and needs a little time to settle into new environments but then shows to be very affectionate and sociable. She appears to be housetrained, is learning to walk on leash and doesn't complain much in her crate but will sometimes beg to be out with her person. Her trainer says she is a fun, young dog, is working well with her training and walks. She loves people, likes other dogs, she is energetic but not hyper and loves to play with her toys. Chi Chi is the perfect size, not too big not too small, to be your own little love bug (she would even be called a lap dog to some people), she does like to kick back when it's time to relax. She has not been cat or kid tested while with us so proper introductions are a must. If you've been looking for your new best buddy, she's right here looking for you too! Story
Macy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Macy looks like a rat terrier. We are guessing she is around 3 years of age and she weighs 15 pounds. As expected, she was a bit leery of the other dogs at first but now she is just as happy and playful as she can be. Macy is very affectionate and loves attention and pets. She likes to sit next to you on the couch and will grumble at the other dogs to keep them away so she can have all the attention. This is a bad habit and should not be encouraged. Macy is crate-trained and well-behaved in the house. She is doing well with housetraining but may need more work. Because Macy is small, she must be protected from rough treatment by children or big dogs that could hurt her. She must also be protected from raptors and other outdoor predators. Macy must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. To avoid injury, she will need steps to get on and off the couch and other furniture. Macy must be walked on a leash and would like a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Macy is healthy. She is spayed and tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is negative for heartworms and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. ALL transport costs are included in the adoption fee with delivery to Columbus or Cincinnati Ohio. Macy is currently located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Please send an email to 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this little sweet girl.
