Story
Monty was adopted in May from Franklin County Animal Shelter. He was very underweight and shy and has made a great recovery. The best estimate is that he is around 2 years old and is a Jack russel mix. He loves to cuddle and is a ball of energy that loves to play tug of war and fetch. He has picked up on basic skills like sit, stay, down, and off, but has been struggling with potty training and still pees in the house sometimes. He is a little nippy, but otherwise has been good with other dogs and loves playing with mine and my sister's dog. He has been a bit reactive on walks and will probably need training. Monty is a very lovable dog, but unfortunately him and my other dog have struggled adjusting and I haven't been able to give him the attention he needs, I think he will be happier with someone who can devote more time and energy to him.

Story
Buddy appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier/other terrier mix. He is around 1 year of age and weighs 24 pounds. He was found under a bridge in one of the local dumping areas. It is no surprise that Buddy was scared when we first got him, but he quickly warmed up. He loves getting attention from his people. He loves pets and being close to his humans. He loves belly rubs and will roll over on his back whenever you bend over to pick him up. Buddy is small but mighty. He is muscular and high-energy and requires exercise. He loves to run and wrestle with other dogs. Sometimes, he can be naughty and will intimidate one of our more submissive dogs. Yet he backs down when one of the chihuahuas or another dog puts him in his place. Buddy is generally a good boy, and training is a work in progress. He listens well and comes when called. He is crate-trained and fairly well-behaved in the house. We are working on teaching him manners. He gets jumpy when he wants attention and more training is needed. He responds well to "no" and the "tsch" correction (as used by Cesar Milan). It would be best if applicants have dog experience and are willing to hire a trainer if necessary. Buddy would love his new family to play with him, take him on walks, cuddle, and give him a lot of affection and belly rubs. Buddy must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and have a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Buddy is neutered, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Buddy is ready to change his zip code. He is located in Texas but can be transported after he is adopted. Buddy's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to several scheduled stops in Ohio - including but not limited to - Columbus, Cincinnati, and Akron OH. Little Russ has a sensitive side. He is very loveable if you give him a little time. Life probably was not all that good to him, so he is a little cautious. His handler in the prison program said that he has come a long way. He is a quiet guy who does not bark and prefers soothing sounds and soft touches. He is not rowdy, so I bet he likes his friends the same. He is leash trained and crate-trained. Russ has been working on some commands in the prison program and is current on his vetting. He has not been kid or cat tested. He would love to continue his growth in his forever home. Russ will be quietly waiting. Stella is a great dog, gets along with everybody and everything, she is in her senior years. My wife and I have started to travel a lot for work, in the last 6 months, and we have no one to watch Stella, except the Kennel, and that is not fair to her, to constantly be in the Kennel.
