Story
AS OF JULY 12TH, DOUG IS IN A TRIAL ADOPTION. YOU CAN STILL COMPLETE AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IN THE CHANCE THAT IT DOES NOT WORK OUT. *** QUALITIES: Quiet, content, loving, smart *** WORKING on: walking, being underfoot Doug is a young man weighing 20 lbs right now. He is very muscular and strong for a small dog and loves to play with a fellow foster doberman. Doug gets along with all the dogs in the home. He loves to walk and has an endearing feature where he will splay out on the grass if you stop to talk or another dog is spending too much time investigating a smell. He is learning walking etiquette like not winding himself around you or the other dogs. Other than that he is a perfect walker. In the home, Doug has had no accidents. He is very, very smart...learning the dog door in a day, learning the shortcuts on walks, learning the Level 3 food puzzles right away. He kennels expertly and never makes a peep until let out. Doug can get underfoot but takes corrections really well, usually finding a chew and going to a cot. Doug is very food motivated. He is eating a gently cooked diet of vegetables and a protein meat which he loves. He has scampered out the door between my legs twice but stopped and allowed me to pick him up and bring back in. I attribute this to his diet so I am hoping someone with similar beliefs will be interested in continuing this. Doug is such a sweet, perfect little dog and would make anyone a great companion. I am really hoping for a home with another playful dog friend. If you are interested in Doug, please reach out with your phone number so we can schedule a phone visit. If that goes well, we will need an adoption application completed. This is our form: https://form.jotform.com/253094976963070 No One'sDog Rescue is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit helping homeless, abandoned and stray dogs find good forever homes.

Meet Cole! Breed: Terrier MixGender: MaleAge: Young AdultSize: Small ([WEIGHT])Good with: Other dogs, people who love a playful pup Cole is sweet, energetic, and absolutely LOVES to play! This young Terrier mix has that perfect combination of playful energy and genuine affection for his people. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is all about the rough-and-tumble play style—wrestling, chasing, and his personal specialty: being a master at keep away with other dogs. He's basically a professional level player who takes his games very seriously. But here's where Cole really shines: despite all that playful energy, he loves people a TON. When he's done burning off steam with his doggy friends, Cole will climb right into your lap and shower his favorite humans with small, soft kisses. It's the perfect balance—he's got energy for days when it's playtime, but he also knows how to wind down and be affectionate when the games are over. Cole would thrive in a home with other playful dogs who can match his energy and love a good game of chase or wrestle. He's ideal for an active household that appreciates a dog who can play hard but also cuddle hard. At his young adult age, he's past the destructive puppy stage but still has all that youthful enthusiasm and zest for life. If you're looking for a playful companion who will entertain your other dogs, keep himself busy with games, and then reward you with gentle affection and lap time, Cole is your perfect match! Story
Meet Beethoven! Breed: Terrier MixGender: MaleAge: 4 yearsSize: 15 lbsGood with: Patient people, calm environments Beethoven looks like he could be the next Benji—seriously, this scruffy little guy has that classic "adorable movie dog" look down pat. But unlike his confident on-screen counterpart, Beethoven is very shy and needs someone who understands that trust takes time. He's not going to warm up immediately, and that's okay. The best things in life are worth waiting for. Once Beethoven decides you're safe, his whole personality starts to shine through. He transforms from a cautious observer into a super affectionate companion with a playful side. It's like watching a flower bloom—slow at first, but absolutely worth the patience. He won't ever be a wild party animal, but he'll show you his version of joy in his own gentle way. Beethoven needs a calm, quiet home where he can decompress and learn that the world isn't such a scary place after all. He's not built for chaos, loud noises, or unpredictable environments. He's looking for a peaceful sanctuary with patient humans who won't rush him and will let him set the pace for affection and interaction. If you're looking for a project dog who will reward your patience with deep devotion, or if you just want a sweet companion who appreciates the quieter side of life, Beethoven might be your perfect match. He's got leading-man looks and a heart that's just waiting for the right person to help him shine! Ready to welcome Beethoven into your life? Contact us to meet this wonderful boy! Story
Meet Egret! Breed: Terrier MixGender: FemaleAge: PuppySize: Small ([WEIGHT])Good with: Other dogs, patient people who understand shy puppies Egret is part of our adorable bird-themed litter—along with her siblings Ibis, Pelican, and Swan—and she's been on quite the journey! This little Terrier mix came to us very shy and uncertain about the world, but over time she's gotten SO much more confident. We're watching her little personality finally start to shine through, and it's been absolutely beautiful to witness. Here's what we know so far: Egret runs and plays happily with other dogs! Her canine friends have been her confidence builders, and she's comfortable being herself around them. People, though? Still a little spooky. She needs time to warm up and decide you're safe before she'll let her guard down. But once she does? You'll get to see the real Egret emerge—the one who's been hiding under all that shyness. Because Egret was so timid for so long, we're still learning who she really is. Her personality is only just starting to show through, which means her adopter gets the special privilege of helping her discover her full potential! She'll need a patient home that understands shy puppies aren't broken—they just need time, encouragement, and the space to blossom at their own pace. A home with another confident, friendly dog would be ideal for Egret. She learns from watching other dogs, and having a canine mentor would help her continue building her confidence as she grows. If you're ready to be part of a shy puppy's transformation story, Egret is waiting to show you who she can become! Ready to welcome Egret into your life? Contact us to meet this wonderful girl! Story
Hello, world. I’m Nellie. I’ve decided it’s time I introduce myself because there is something very important you need to know about me: I. LOVE. PEOPLE. Seriously. People are kind of my thing. I love being held. I love laps. I love curling up right next to my person for a good movie—or a bad movie, I’m not picky. I love relaxing beside you, following you from room to room, and generally making sure you are never forced to experience the tragedy of being alone. Dogs? Dogs are cool. I prefer the calm ones who understand personal space and aren’t trying to turn every Tuesday afternoon into WrestleMania. But PEOPLE? People have hands. Hands give pets. And getting my fair share of those pets is SERIOUS BUSINESS. If another dog happens to be getting attention, you may suddenly feel a little tap tap tap on your shin. That’s me. I have located the itchy spot you didn’t know you had, and I am absolutely willing to scratch it for you. For free. Out of the goodness of my heart. This completely selfless act has nothing whatsoever to do with reminding you that there is an adorable Nellie standing right here who has somehow gone several seconds without being petted. I will follow you around. I will keep you company. I will happily occupy your lap. And I will vie for every single bit of attention currently available for distribution. Because while I may be willing to share my people... I will also be keeping very close tabs on the allocation of resources. So now that we’ve gotten the important stuff out of the way, there’s just one thing left: I’m ready to find my person. And I believe your lap is currently available.

Story
Most of humanity remains under investigation. The evidence is not encouraging. Wednesday would like it known that she did not volunteer to be available for adoption. Unfortunately, the humans insist that finding a forever home requires something called “marketing.” Wednesday believes trust should be earned, personal space should be respected, and strangers should be viewed with a healthy amount of skepticism. She is not interested in reckless optimism, unsolicited touching, or people who think every dog wants to be immediately scooped up and cuddled. She prefers to conduct a thorough investigation before deciding whether you are worthy of her attention. Some may call her cautious. Wednesday prefers “appropriately suspicious.” She does not give permission lightly. Touch her without consent and you may find yourself becoming the missing part of Thing. Fortunately, those who earn her approval discover a loyal companion hiding beneath all the judgment. Wednesday enjoys quiet company, cozy naps, and keeping a watchful eye on everything happening around her kingdom. She is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds with her people and takes her responsibilities as household supervisor very seriously. Wednesday is currently accepting applications for permanent staff. Successful candidates must provide comfortable sleeping arrangements, appropriate snack distribution, and an understanding that trust is earned, not demanded.
