Hi, I’m Mona—and yes, I’ve been told I have a smile that could rival the famous painting. But unlike my namesake, there’s nothing mysterious about me: I’m an open book of love, loyalty, and a little bit of mischief. At just 2 years old, I’m a Jack Russell Terrier mix with a heart that beats for my people. I’m what they call a “Velcro dog”—where you go, I go. Whether it’s a walk around the block (which I love!) or just lounging nearby, I’m happiest when I’m close. I weigh in at a sturdy 34 pounds, and I’m spayed, vaccinated, and ready to find my forever home. I do best with older kids who understand that I like my space respected sometimes. Other dogs? Not really my scene—unless they’re calm, older, and don’t mind my independent streak. I’ve got a playful side too, and every now and then I’ll sneak off with one of the kids’ toys (oops!). So having some chew toys of my own is a must—I promise I’ll put them to good use. I’m currently in Charlotte, NC but don’t let distance stop you. For the right home, I can be transported—just keep in mind there may be a transport fee if volunteer transport cannot be found. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a charming grin and a heart full of devotion, I might just be your Mona. Let’s make some magic together.

Story
Hi there, I'm Boo, a sweet and fluffy mixed breed (maybe Jack Russel Terrier and lab mix) with white fur and tan spots. I'm about 3-4 years old and weigh 55 pounds. I'm neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. I'm also house, and crate trained. I'm looking for a loving and caring family who can give me a forever home. I'm a happy boy all the time who loves to play with female dogs. I am male dog selective. I would do well with children, but I recommend older kids because of my size and energy level. I have not been cat tested but can be if you’d like. I love toys and bringing them outside in the yard to play with. I need some more training with walking on a leash because I get very excited on walks and pull a bit. If you look closely at my photos, you may notice that my front left foot is oddly bent. The vet thinks it was broken and simply healed this way. It doesn’t hurt me or slow me down when I’m having a great time playing. There really isn’t any need to do anything for it. I just wanted to let you know about it. I absolutely adore Zoomies, splashing around in my swimming pool, playing fetch, and getting belly rubs. There's nothing better than a good romp around followed by some quality couch potato time. I'm currently being fostered in Clemmons, NC, but can be transported to other states for my perfect match family. After spending almost two weeks in doggie jail (Halifax County Animal Control) nobody came for her so we sprung little Erida. Now in foster care she is waiting for her vet appointment in two weeks for spay, heartworm testing, and any additional vaccinations needed. A terrier mix, Erida is about 3 years old, 12 pounds, has some of her vaccinations, is house and leash trained. She seems fine with smaller dogs, but is not a fan of larger dogs. Loving lap time, Erida will follow you around the house.
