Name: Meadow Best Guess for Breed: Jack Russell terrier mix Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of July 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 19.8 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special adoption considerations: Meadow was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina. She has not been well socialized with new people and has lived her whole life with other dogs. New nosies, cars, bikes, and other things may create fear and anxiety. She will need a patient adopter who can give her time to come out of her shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place. Meadow is Looking For: Her forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world! One where she is a cherished part of a family. She's very sweet, and SO ready to be a Real Dog.Extra patient and loving humans who introduce her to new places and people at her pace are what she is seeking! She thrives on attention and praise, happily soaking up cuddles and forming strong bonds with her humans. Friendly and confident, she's always ready for a walk and enjoys exploring the world by your side. She's doing well with cats, settles nicely in her crate, and has shown no signs of separation anxiety or resource guarding. Meadow is still learning a few things, like navigating stairs, so she'll do best with a patient adopter who can encourage her at her own pace using plenty of praise and positive reinforcement. She can get a little mouthy when she's excited, but she's easily redirected to a toy. While she'd likely enjoy having a canine companion, Meadow is happiest when she's with her people and doesn't require another dog to thrive. With her sweet personality and joyful outlook, she's sure to make a wonderful addition to a loving home. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.
