sweet boy ISO fresh start and love! ROCKY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Rocky        Best Guess for Breed:   Jack Russell terrier mix   Best Guess for Age:  3 years as of August 2026         SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight:   9.7 lbs   Gets Along With:  Rocky does well with other dogs and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog. We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus - needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.Special adoption considerations: Rocky was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Carolina.  He has not been well socialized with new people and has lived his whole life with other dogs.  New nosies, cars, bikes, and other things may create fear and anxiety.  He will need a patient adopter who can give him time to come out of his shell and learn that the world is a wonderful and welcoming place. And because he is shy, he needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show him the ropes.Rocky Is Looking For:   His forever home, filled with snuggles and opportunities to see the world! One where he is a cherished part of a family. He's very sweet, and SO ready to be a Real Dog. Extra patient and loving humans who introduce him to new places and people at his pace are exactly what he wants! Along with quality kibble, a cushy dog bed, and endless snuggles. You know what you get out of adopting a dog like that? An incredibly sweet and grateful dog who gives you all those adoring gazes, all the love and loyalty in his body, for all his days. What do you say? Is he the one for you? Are you his new chapter and forever home? What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update this once he has spent time in foster care,  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
I’m not going to lie—I love being carried around. I’m happiest when I’m soaking up all your love and attention. Whether I’m curled up in your lap or wrapped up in your arms, that’s exactly where I want to be. I get along well with other dogs, but since I’m only 10 months old, the world is still full of exciting new things to discover. I’m eager to learn and experience it all, especially if I have you by my side. With a little patience, lots of love, and plenty of cuddles, I know we’ll make the perfect team.

Are you her new chapter and forever home? What My Foster Says About Me:    Meadow is a cheerful, affectionate girl who absolutely loves being with her people. She thrives on attention and praise, happily soaking up cuddles and forming strong bonds with her humans. Friendly and confident, she's always ready for a walk and enjoys exploring the world by your side. She's doing well with cats, settles nicely in her crate, and has shown no signs of separation anxiety or resource guarding. Meadow is still learning a few things, like navigating stairs, so she'll do best with a patient adopter who can encourage her at her own pace using plenty of praise and positive reinforcement. She can get a little mouthy when she's excited, but she's easily redirected to a toy. While she'd likely enjoy having a canine companion, Meadow is happiest when she's with her people and doesn't require another dog to thrive. With her sweet personality and joyful outlook, she's sure to make a wonderful addition to a loving home.   Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
