Always on the lookout for dogs that need rescuing, one of our kennel staff saved siblings Dora and Diego from a flea market. These two were a natural to come into rescue with us. They are a mix of Jack Russell and Heeler and are only 3 months old. Right now, they each weigh around 6 pounds, but they'll mature to between 30 and 35 pounds. Both very sweet, they can be a bit shy but only at first. They love to play with toys as well as other dogs. They're both crate trained. Such sweetness! (posted 12/24/25, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Peter came to us from a high kill shelter in Texas with his brother Griffin. We have had little Peter since he was about 12 weeks old and he is 5 now. Peter is the sweetest dog, he loves to cuddle, go for walks and is a great listener. As the months have gone on Peters relationship with his brother has worsened. We’ve explored training, behaviorists and medication but these dogs would both be happier on their own. Due to his anxiety Peter would benefit from being an only pet and likely would not be good with young children. We are so sad to be exploring this option but ultimately want the best for both of them.
