Story
We had inquired about Emperor who was at a daily kill shelter in TX. We got a message back that he was heading to the euthanasia room. We said please get him out of there we will take him on. We were not sure if they got him out right away and then an hour later got called that they were taking him to a boarding place for us. The transport company could not bring him to us for another 2 weeks. We found out from the boarding place that he had a leg injury. We decided to not wait 2 weeks for transport with him having an injury and drove down to get him. Emperor was not using his back left leg at all and we figured it was a car that hit him. Once we got him back to TN he saw our vets who thought they could fix the leg. We also sent the x ray to an orthopedic surgeon who said the injury was about a month old and would not recommend fixing his leg. To be honest Emperor was not using the leg at all and was getting around as if he had 4 legs anyway. We decided to remove the leg and he has not missed a beat since. The last picture is of him after surgery and the other 3 are of him now. He is a fun loving little guy that runs and plays just like any other dog. We do have ramps for him to get on the couch and bed as he would not be able to do that, but other than that being 3 legged does not stop him. He is very food motivated as you can see he has not missed a meal and we have had to cut that back because he is starting to look like a chunky monkey. Emperor is completely vetted, meaning fixed, had all shots, heartworm negative, micro chipped and on monthly prevention. He is not on any meds for his leg, that is completely healed. We are not sure how he is with cats as he is not around any in his foster home, just big and small dogs. We are hoping to do a transport on Saturday 30th May. All of us in the rescue have full time jobs as well as running the rescue so if you are interested in Adamite please go to our website www.doginghampalacerescue.org for our application. Then email the application back to doginghamrescue@aol.com. The fees on our website are very out dated, we are waiting on the lady to update everything. Since covid hit, it is hard to get into vets offices and prices have gone way up. The adoption fee and transport fee is explained below. We are based in the Nashville, TN area and have most of our dogs transported up north. The $400 adoption fee does not include the transport fee (will have a health certificate too). The transport fee is $200, so a total of $600. The transport fee is not refundable if things do not work out.

Story
“Ren” - 5 month old Jack Russell terrier mix puppy; he is currently only 10.6# so doesn’t weigh a lot, but is very tall! Ren will probably reach 20-30 pounds when fully grown. He has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, tested negative for heartworms and is on heartworm/flea prevention. Ren was found in the middle of a very busy highway - he ran right to his rescuer as soon as he saw him! Ren is a super outgoing, playful, and energetic dude. He loves all people and gets along/plays well with other dogs (big and small). He has not been exposed to cats yet. He is doing very well with crate and house training but as he is still a puppy, we would not call him housetrained just yet. But with regular outside potty breaks, he does very well!! Since he is still a baby, Ren will need continued training on basic obedience, leash skills, and manners (just like any other puppy). But he works well for food and loves love, so training should be a breeze! We transport every other weekend to the Northeast and Great Lakes using the most animal-friendly transport on the road; Rescue Riders Pet Transport. So we can bring your fur baby to a destination near your.

Story
Meet Lola - Lola is about 3 years old and 26 lbs. We think she is a Parsons Terrier/Jack Russell Mix (purely a guess). Lola is the sweetest girl who loves to sit in your lap and snuggle. Lola pulls a bit on leash, but her foster mom is working on this as Lola enjoys her daily walks. Lola is good with other dogs and although she is not fostered with children, she would be fine with children 6 years and up. Lola's foster mom reports she has not had any accidents in the house. Lola is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***We do not place dogs in homes with children under the age of 5 unless they currently live with dogs.*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**
