Story
Yuel is a 1-year 6-month-old female Samoyed-Jindo mix, weighing 15 kg. At just six months old, Yuel was placed on the euthanasia list at a city shelter along with her sibling, Samuel. Thankfully, they were both rescued, and she is now staying at our training center, slowly regaining her trust in people and desperately hoping to start a new life with her forever family. Yuel’s personality is very gentle and non-aggressive. However, due to her traumatic past, she tends to be wary of strangers and takes time to warm up to new people. When she first arrived at our training center, she was very shy, but after a few days, she gradually opened up and revealed her naturally sweet and affectionate personality. Because she does not easily approach unfamiliar people and will require ample time and patience to adjust, extra care should be taken during walks to prevent any escape attempts, and household entryways should be securely managed until she fully bonds with her new family. Like a typical Jindo mix, Yuel has an independent streak. However, she also strongly exhibits the Samoyed’s affectionate nature and responsiveness to human connection. Once she builds trust, she expresses deep affection. Yuel gets along well with other dogs and has formed a particularly strong bond with her sibling, Samuel. Since they have spent so much time together, she may experience separation anxiety if they are apart, and this should be considered when adopting. She currently goes outside for bathroom breaks three times a day and enjoys running freely with her canine friends in the exercise yard. However, during the adjustment period in a new home, occasional accidents may occur. Once she settles in, she should quickly adapt to an outdoor potty routine again. It is recommended to start taking her on walks only after she has bonded with her new family. Due to her Jindo mix heritage, she has a strong homing instinct. If she is suddenly taken far away or travels by plane, she may become confused and instinctively try to find her way back home. To prevent this, walks should only begin after she fully recognizes her adopter as family. Even then, a double leash or harness is essential for safety. Yuel still carries emotional scars from her traumatic past and may be shy and cautious at first. However, for those that are willing to endure that initial period and patiently wait for her trust, Yuel will become the most loyal and loving lifelong companion.

Story
Noah is a 1.5-year-old mixed breed dog, likely a Jindo mix, with an adorable pattern resembling white socks on one paw and a patch of white fur on his chest. He was abandoned at a shelter as a puppy and was rescued when he was about one year old. After a life in the shelter, he is now enjoying the play and freedom he was deprived of during his early months. Noah loves interacting with people and enjoys playing around with them. He is friendly and gets along well with other dogs, especially those whose personalities match his own. He is a foodie, with a great love for eating. Currently, he’s learning basic commands like ‘sit’ and ‘lie down’, and being quick to pick them up thanks to his intelligence. Noah enjoys walks and, as a young dog, is full of curiosity and energy. However, after enough outdoor activities and playtime, he is happy to rest and relax indoors. He especially loves running and playing in the park or spending quality time with his owner. As a male dog, Noah may mark his territory in new environments, but this behavior is expected to decrease as he becomes more familiar with his space and feels secure. Given his high energy and love for outdoor activities, Noah thrives in an environment that provides ample playtime and walks. With proper training and consistent bonding, he will grow into a loyal and devoted companion.

Story
Meet Dooyoo!   Profile • Name: Dooyoo • Age: 6 years • Gender: Spayed Female • Breed: Jindo mix • Color: White • Weight: 17kg • Height (at shoulders): 39cm   Personality & People Skills Dooyoo is a gentle, affectionate girl who loves being around people. She’s friendly not only with her family but also with new people, often approaching them for pets and affection. Once comfortable, she’ll even roll over to show her belly!   She doesn’t like being picked up suddenly by strangers and may protest with a little “urr–” sound—not out of aggression, but from being startled or nervous. With time, patience, and of course her favorite things (walks and treats!), she will warms up. She’s fine being carried or lifted by people she trusts, though she doesn’t seem particularly enjoy it.   She would do best in a quieter home with few family members, ideally without children under 13.   Dog Socialization Dooyoo is calm and well-mannered around other dogs. She prefers the company of people over dogs, she will politely greet other dogs without conflict. She’s not interested in playing and may feel uncomfortable with overly energetic dogs. If another dog challenges her, she might react but is not a fighter.   On walks, she sometimes reacts to passing dogs, but this is currently manageable with leash guidance. For this reason, a home with prior dog experience would suit her best.   With Cats She shows curiosity toward cats on walks and may try to follow them, but she listens well and moves along when guided. Cat testing is possible.   Energy Level & Walks Dooyoo has a low energy level. She loves lounging and staying close to her humans. While she enjoys walks, she doesn’t have high stamina and usually trails behind her person rather than pulling. Short, relaxed strolls are perfect for her.   Other Notes • Food motivated and may guard food from other dogs. • Can get excited when treats are given and jump up, so some guidance is needed. • No separation anxiety. • Rarely barks—just a few alert barks when there’s a sound outside. • Calm and comfortable in a kennel. • 100% house-trained (outdoor potty) • Travels very well in the car.  * Currently on a diet kibbles as she’s a little chubby Rescued from a city shelter (was at risk of euthanasia) Dooyoo is looking for a forever home where she can enjoy a calm, loving life by her human’s side. She’s the perfect companion if you’re looking for a gentle, low-energy, people-loving dog who just wants to be near you. Story
Meet Roxy   Breed: Jindo mix Age: 5 years old Sex: Spayed female Color: Brown Weight: 20kg Height (to shoulder): 54cm   Rescue Story   Roxy was rescued from a city shelter in August 2020 when she was just a 3-month-old puppy. Sadly, she never found an adopter and has been living at the shelter ever since.   Despite growing up in a shelter, Roxy’s heart has stayed gentle and full of love. She’s now ready for her very first real home   Personality & Temperament   Roxy can be a little shy at first, but a few treats quickly melt her hesitation. Once she warms up, she enjoys gentle petting and will even show her belly to people she trusts. She’s wonderful with children under 13 and allows being lifted or handled gently.   She greets unfamiliar dogs politely but doesn’t necessarily engage in play. She’s comfortable around dogs her size and tends to avoid conflict if another dog reacts.   When she sees cats on walks, she looks curiously but calmly follows her handler without pulling or chasing.   Energy Level & Daily Routine   Roxy has a moderate energy level — she enjoys her outdoor time and settles quietly afterward. She’s experienced on leash, walks beautifully without pulling, and loves following her person’s lead.   She doesn’t guard food, rarely barks, and enjoys a peaceful daily routine. She’s house-trained for outdoor potty, though she gets anxious in a kennel or car, so she feels safest being held during transport.   A Kind and Gentle Soul   Roxy is calm, loving, and well-mannered — a sweet companion who simply needs time to adjust to a home environment after years in a shelter. Her kind nature and patience make her easy to bond with, and she’s sure to bring warmth and quiet joy to any home.   Ideal Home: A patient and caring family who can give Roxy the stability and affection she’s missed all her life. She’ll thrive in a calm environment where she can enjoy outdoor walks and cozy rest indoors.   Five years of waiting — now it’s her turn to be loved for the gentle heart she carries, not the pain she’s endured.  Apply to foster or adopt to show her how beautiful the world can be. www.adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram. Story
Meet Mond Age: 4 months Weight: 12.2kg Height: 40cm (shoulder height) Breed: Jindo mix Color: Brown Male (Not neutered yet) ‍‍ With People Mond is a sweet and affectionate pup who loves to approach people, both familiar and new, rubbing up against them and enjoying pets. While he may be slightly shy in unfamiliar places at first, he adjusts quickly and becomes friendly in no time. He hasn’t had direct experience with children under 13, but due to his gentle nature, we believe he would do well with them. He’s comfortable being lifted and often shows his belly once he’s bonded with someone. With Dogs Mond lives with other dogs in his foster home and gets along very well with everyone. He enjoys playing and will happily greet unfamiliar dogs too. Whether the dog is bigger, smaller, or the same size, Mond is friendly and playful. He currently attends doggy daycare and has no issues with other dogs. With Cats & Other Animals Mond has met a cat before and showed curiosity without chasing or bothering it—he simply observed from a respectful distance. When he sees birds, he’ll sit and watch them quietly. If they fly off, he might hop along excitedly, but more out of playful instinct than real chase—he’s still a baby and never catches up! Energy Level Mond has a moderate energy level. He enjoys outdoor play and activities but also knows how to rest calmly afterward. After active outings, he often falls asleep as soon as he gets into the car. ‍ Walks & Leash Training Mond is experienced with walks and generally does well on a leash. He may pull occasionally but is mostly attentive to his handler. He loves to sniff around, so his walks can involve frequent pauses as he explores the scents around him. Other Notes Mond shows no signs of food aggression toward people or other dogs. While he doesn’t show strong signs of separation anxiety now, he’s always lived with other dogs, so he may experience some stress when left completely alone. He may whine or show anxiety at first but tends to settle down shortly after. His trainer noted that while Mond does show some separation anxiety, he also shows effort to cope and self-soothe. With patience, guidance, and love, he will continue to thrive. He is currently trained to use pee pads indoors and also goes potty outdoors. Rescue Story Mond was born in a city shelter after his mother was brought in. Thankfully, both mom and puppies were rescued together. Mond is a bright, lovable pup who bonds deeply and learns with encouragement. He’ll be a wonderful companion to a family who can continue giving him support and love. Story
Meet Obok 1 year old | Spayed Female | Jindo Mix | 18kg | 48cm | White   Obok was once a stray, wandering the neighborhood until kind locals started feeding her. With patience and consistent socialization training over the past few months, she approaches for gentle touches when food is offered and is learning to trust people more every day.   ‍‍ With People   Obok’s still a little reserved with humans and can be shy at first, but she takes treats & accepts gentle pets. She will wag her tail and slowly approach people who offer snacks, and while she may avoid sudden touches at first, once someone pets her, she accepts affection well. Even with strangers, she remains calm—she has even bathed comfortably with new people. Currently, she is training with a male trainer and shows no fear of men. She can also be safely lifted by holding her under her belly.   With Other Dogs   Obok is very sociable and enjoys the company of other dogs, whether they’re familiar or new. She greets big dogs, small dogs, and dogs her size with friendliness. She especially loves strong, confident large males and plays well with high-energy playmates. Obok is easygoing and does not react negatively even if another dog challenges her. She thrives around other dogs, so she would do best in a home with a canine companion.   With Cats   On walks, Obok notices cats with curiosity but follows her handler’s lead without issue. Further testing with cats can be arranged.   Energy Level   She has a moderate energy level—she enjoys outdoor activities but also knows how to settle down afterward. When tired, she goes to her spot and falls asleep peacefully.   Walks   Obok has made great progress with leash training. She does not pull and follows her handler well. In unfamiliar places, she may walk slowly, but she never bolts or panics.   Other Behavior • No food guarding with people or dogs • Comfortable being left alone, no separation anxiety • Rarely barks (only occasionally joins in if another dog barks at strangers) • Calm in a kennel • Mild car sickness if she rides right after eating • Fully house-trained outdoors   Obok is a gentle, friendly soul who has overcome her past as a stray and is ready for a loving forever home. She will do best in a household with another friendly dog to help her feel secure and continue to thrive.
