🐾 About Bori
Bori is a calm and gentle soul — a quiet boy with the look of a mid-century movie star. His soft mane and one folded ear are his signature look.
He’s not a cuddler or a dog who constantly demands attention. In fact, Bori prefers to observe from a little distance until he decides it’s time to say hello. When he does, he’ll approach with a gentle nose boop — his quiet way of saying, “I trust you.”
He doesn’t crave affection, but he always accepts it with patience and grace.
💛 Relationships with People & Children
Bori is friendly with everyone but not overly excitable. He’s calm around adults and completely unbothered by children — he’ll look, sniff politely, and move on. There’s no aggression, no overexcitement, just quiet understanding.
🐶 Relationships with Other Dogs
Bori loves dogs. Since he was 3 months old, he’s been a regular at a large dog park, where he learned great manners.
He greets all kinds of dogs respectfully, avoids conflict, and even rolls onto his back to show he means no harm. He’s never been in a fight — not even close.
🐱 Relationships with Cats
He’s curious about cats but gentle. He lives peacefully with his foster cats — he lets them groom him and accepts headbutts calmly. Outdoors, he may want to sniff or follow cats, but he listens and stops when told.
🚶♂️ Walks & Leash Manners
In familiar places, Bori walks nicely without pulling. In exciting new areas or at the dog park, his enthusiasm sometimes shows, and he may pull a little — but it’s manageable. He listens well and settles once his initial excitement passes.
💩 Potty Habits
Bori is fully pad-trained indoors (100%). Interestingly, he seems to prefer indoor potty time. During short walks, he often waits to go home and use the pad. But on long outdoor days, he’s happy to go outside as well.
🏡 Kennel Training
He hasn’t had kennel experience, but based on his calm temperament, he’s expected to adjust well if introduced properly.
⚡ Energy Level
Indoors: very low (2–3/10)
Outdoors: moderate in familiar areas (around 5/10), but when he’s free at a dog park — he’s full of life! Watching him run, you might think he could lift off and fly.
🧸 Handling & Grooming
Bori is comfortable with most handling — tooth brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning are all fine.
He dislikes having the fur between his paw pads trimmed with an electric trimmer, but scissors are fine.
Bath time isn’t his favorite activity, but he tolerates it without fuss.
🍗 Food & Toys
Bori enjoys his meals but isn’t possessive at all. If another dog steals his food, he simply lets it go.
🐕 Prey Drive / Escape / Destruction
He sometimes gets excited and tries to follow birds or cats outdoors, but he stops easily when corrected.
He shows no escape tendencies.
As a puppy, he used to chew cushions or wallpaper, but he has outgrown that phase. Since he’s never been left alone for long periods, it’s unclear how he would behave solo, but overall, he’s a calm and well-mannered boy.
🌷 Rescue Story
Bori was born in a group kennel and came to his foster home with his mother shortly after birth due to a parvovirus risk. He’s been with his foster family ever since.
He has never known cruelty or neglect — only kindness — which shows in his gentle nature and calm trust in people.
Among his siblings, Bori grew the biggest, the healthiest, and perhaps the wisest.
He is currently in S. Korea and ready to meet a forever family who will love him just as he is — quietly loyal, endlessly patient, and steady as a rock.
