Story
Meet Tiktok, a gentle and loyal Jindo mix looking for his forever home!True to his Jindo heritage, Tiktok is a sophisticated companion who balances an active spirit with a calm, indoor presence. He is a "people dog" through and through, thriving on human affection and positive praise. While he may start a little shy with new faces, he warms up quickly and will soon be asking for all the snuggles and pets you can give!.Tiktok loves being held and petted, making him the perfect companion for someone who enjoys a devoted sidekick. He's an active partner for your daily walks but knows how to settle down and relax once he's back inside. He is crate-trained and adapts beautifully to a steady schedule, helping him feel secure and happy. He responds wonderfully to praise and affection-no treats required for this good boy to show off his best manners!.Tiktok can be a bit sensitive to loud noises and prefers a gentle touch (he's a bit shy about his hind legs!).He shows a little caution around larger dogs, so a home that can provide calm, supervised introductions would be perfect. He currently uses a designated resting space but is fully capable of adapting to a standard indoor/outdoor routine with your guidance.Tiktok is a "National Treasure" in the making-ready to bring his unique Jindo charm and unwavering loyalty to his new family. Story
In June 2022, there was a call made to 911 that there was a dog who was roaming the fields ruining local crops. After a few attempts for the next 2 weeks, we were able to capture the dog. On June 19th, Bandy was listed to the city shelter officially. In a few days, she gave birth on the floor of the city shelter. We then knew that Bandy was trying to find a nurturing home to have a family. She gave birth to 9 puppies. After she recovered, we found Bandy a foster home. There, she has been enjoying time with her foster siblings doing to dog parks once a week and running around with her friends. She has completely transformed from a shy and worried mother to a curious and loving mom. Name: Bandy (20260318-02)Weight: 14.1kgAge: 5.5 yo (Est. Story
Moran's story began in Korea, where this beautiful young Jindo mix quietly waited for a chance at a better life. She has already shown incredible resilience and a tender heart that is slowly learning the world can be kind. Moran is the perfect medium-sized companion with a soft tri-colour coat and the most soulful eyes you've ever seen. She has a naturally shy and sensitive nature, and while she may be a little nervous when first meeting new people- there is absolutely no aggression in her, only a quiet uncertainty. With patience and gentle reassurance, Moran begins to blossom, leaning into soft pets and showing her sweet, affectionate side. Moran is wonderfully well-mannered in the home. She is fully house trained, able to use both pee pads and go outdoors, and is comfortable in her crate. She's not a barker, not destructive, and has a calm low-to-medium energy level that makes her an easy companion once she settles in. She walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and gets along beautifully with other dogs-often finding comfort and confidence in their presence. Because of her shy disposition, Moran would do best in a quieter home with older, respectful children or adults who understand that trust takes time. She will need an adjustment period of at least a couple of weeks to feel safe-this isn't due to any known trauma, but simply her naturally cautious personality. During this time, she may tremble or seem unsure, but with consistency, love, and patience, you'll see her slowly come out of her shell. A home with a yard would be ideal for Moran, giving her a safe space to explore at her own pace. While she could live in an apartment, a calm environment will be key. Another gentle dog in the home would be a wonderful bonus to help guide her and build her confidence, though it's not required. Moran doesn't need much-just a kind heart, a steady routine, and someone willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe. In return, she will offer a quiet, loyal love that is deeply special and incredibly rewarding. If you believe in giving the shy ones a chance, Moran is waiting to meet you.Good with women: yes, a little shy at first Good with men: yes, a little shy at firstGood with kids: yes, older children recommended as she is shy Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: hasn't been testedHouse trained: yes, she can do both indoor on pee pads and outdoorCrate trained: yes Energy level: low/medium Can be handled touched: yes, she likes being petted once she is familiar with youBarker: no Flight risk: no; however all new dogs should be considered flight risks in new environments Food aggressive: no Walks on leash: yes Leash reactive to people or dogs: noRides well in car: yes Destructive: noNeeds a home with a yard: preferredNeeds a home with another dog: preferred, but not a necessity Can live in an apartment: possibly, in a quieter neighbourhood Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
My name is Lemona, and my life did not always look the way it does today. For over a year I lived at the entrance of a mountain road in Korea, tied to a leash less than one meter long in a rice field. My world was small and lonely. I survived on scraps of mixed leftovers that kind people occasionally gave me. When heavy rain fell, I had nowhere to hide. When snow covered the ground, I remained outside in the cold. Through scorching summers, freezing winters, and long dark nights, I faced everything alone. Some caring rescuers watched over me and did their best to help. Then one day, they learned that I might be sold to a dog slaughterhouse. Knowing the danger I was in, they acted immediately and rescued me. Everything was new after my rescue. I didn't know how to play or enjoy the simple pleasures of being a dog. But with patience, love, and time, I began to discover happiness. Today, I run freely, chase toys, and play joyfully with my canine friends. The timid dog who once stood alone in a field has blossomed into a cheerful and affectionate companion. My journey wasn't without challenges. After my rescue, I was diagnosed with heartworm. Thankfully, I received treatment, completed it successfully, and made a full recovery. Now I am healthy, ready for the future, and excited to find a family of my own. Lemona has endured hardship that no dog should experience, yet she has never lost her gentle spirit. She is proof that love can transform a life. Now all she needs is a forever home where she can continue making happy memories and finally experience the safety, comfort, and belonging she has always deserved. Could you be the happy ending to Lemona's story? Story
WEACT received a report about a mother dog who was suffering from severe, untreated skin injuries, scavenging through trash cans to feed her puppies. The team rushed to the site, but by the time they arrived, the mother dog had already disappeared. Only the puppies had been taken to a city shelter. The puppies were safely brought into WEACT's care, but we could not give up on the mother dog and her other daughter, who was still wandering the streets. Because they had lived outdoors for a long time, they were extremely wary of people, and the rescue took many attempts and a great deal of patience. After continued effort, the mother dog was finally rescued, and soon after, her pregnant daughter was also brought to safety. We gave her a new name - Yewon - and now we hope to help her begin a new and happier chapter in life. Overall, Yewon has a calm and gentle nature, and she adjusts to new places at her own pace. Sudden sounds or unexpected touch can startle her, but when you approach her gently and move at her pace, she relaxes and comes closer with a soft, friendly attitude. Yewon will do well with a family who can respect her pace and spend time with her patiently. She is still learning and adjusting to new environments, so it would be best for her to experience new things slowly and in a way that feels safe and comfortable. If there is another dog in the home, Yewon is likely to get along well, as she enjoys being around gentle and friendly dogs. She can also do well as the only dog, as long as she receives calm companionship and plenty of warm affection. We hope Yewon meets a family who will move at her pace with kindness; someone who will share quiet moments, steady support, and a loving life together with this gentle, soft-hearted girl. Good with women: Yes, Yewon is good with women Good with men: Yes, Yewon is good with men Good with kids: Yes, older children recommended as her interactions with kids has been limited Good with other dogs: Yes, Yewon has spent a lot of time living with other dogs, so she is comfortable around them and gets along well with a variety of friends Good with cats: Unknown House trained: Yes, Yewon prefers outdoor potty Crate trained: Yes Energy level: Med/High, Yewon needs at least two walks a day so she can use and release her energy in a healthy way Can be handled/touched: Yes, Yewon is a sweet, gentle girl who can be touched. She enjoys getting to know people at her own pace and may spend some time quietly observing new faces at first. Once she feels safe and comfortable, she gradually opens up and becomes affectionate, happily accepting gentle petting and handling. Her sweet and trusting nature continues to shine as her confidence grows. Barker: No Flight Risk: No, but it is always recommended to double leash at the beginning to be safe Food aggressive: No Current food: Kibble Walks on leash: Yes, Yewon walks very well on leash. Anyone can walk her comfortably, and she handles leash walks with ease. Leash reactive to people or dogs: No Rides well in cars: Yes, but Yewon gets carsick after long rides - this should subside with practice Destructive: No Needs a home with a yard: Preferred Needs a home with another dog: Not necessarily, but if there is another dog in the home, Yewon is likely to get along well, as she enjoys being around gentle and friendly dogs Can live in an apartment: Yes Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
Maeju was rescued along with Maeri, at the outskirts of a city of Cheonan. They were rescued in a paper box and near by them there was a highway and a deceased cat who seem to have cared for the young puppies when she was alive. It truly was a sad rescue story. Both Maeju and Maeri were in terrible condition. They both had Pyoderma and worms in their stomach. So, we urgently rescued them at our shelter and have treated them. Their progress has been amazing. Both Maeju and Maeri are very playful and appreciative of the humans around them. This sweet and affectionate pup is thriving in foster care. Friendly with everyone they meet, they happily approach new people and enjoy being petted and cuddled. They are very active and playful, especially when toys are involved. Maeju is both indoor and outdoor potty trained, crate trained, and easy to handle for grooming, including baths and nail trims. He gets along well with other dogs, has no food aggression, and does not exhibit separation anxiety. Overall, he is a happy, healthy companion looking for a loving forever home. Good with women: Yes Good with men: Yes Good with kids: Yes, older children recommended as his interactions with kids has been limited Good with dogs: Yes, interested and social with other dogs, with no barking or defensive behaviours Good with cats: Unknown; has not been introduced to cats House trained: Yes, both indoor (pee pad) and outdoor trained Crate trained: Yes Energy level: Med/High - very active and playful Barker: Mild, occasional barking in excitement Flight risk: No, curious at times but does not show a strong desire to escape; however, all dogs should be considered flight risks in new environments Food aggressive: No Walks on leash: Yes Rides well in car: yes Destructive: No destructive behavior reported Needs a home with a yard: Preferred Needs a home with another dog: No, not specifically required. Can live in an apartment: Yes, based on size, temperament, and indoor potty training.
