Story
Noah is a 1.5-year-old mixed breed dog, likely a Jindo mix, with an adorable pattern resembling white socks on one paw and a patch of white fur on his chest. He was abandoned at a shelter as a puppy and was rescued when he was about one year old. After a life in the shelter, he is now enjoying the play and freedom he was deprived of during his early months. Noah loves interacting with people and enjoys playing around with them. He is friendly and gets along well with other dogs, especially those whose personalities match his own. He is a foodie, with a great love for eating. Currently, he’s learning basic commands like ‘sit’ and ‘lie down’, and being quick to pick them up thanks to his intelligence. Noah enjoys walks and, as a young dog, is full of curiosity and energy. However, after enough outdoor activities and playtime, he is happy to rest and relax indoors. He especially loves running and playing in the park or spending quality time with his owner. As a male dog, Noah may mark his territory in new environments, but this behavior is expected to decrease as he becomes more familiar with his space and feels secure. Given his high energy and love for outdoor activities, Noah thrives in an environment that provides ample playtime and walks. With proper training and consistent bonding, he will grow into a loyal and devoted companion.

Story
Yuel is a 1-year 6-month-old female Samoyed-Jindo mix, weighing 15 kg. At just six months old, Yuel was placed on the euthanasia list at a city shelter along with her sibling, Samuel. Thankfully, they were both rescued, and she is now staying at our training center, slowly regaining her trust in people and desperately hoping to start a new life with her forever family. Yuel’s personality is very gentle and non-aggressive. However, due to her traumatic past, she tends to be wary of strangers and takes time to warm up to new people. When she first arrived at our training center, she was very shy, but after a few days, she gradually opened up and revealed her naturally sweet and affectionate personality. Because she does not easily approach unfamiliar people and will require ample time and patience to adjust, extra care should be taken during walks to prevent any escape attempts, and household entryways should be securely managed until she fully bonds with her new family. Like a typical Jindo mix, Yuel has an independent streak. However, she also strongly exhibits the Samoyed’s affectionate nature and responsiveness to human connection. Once she builds trust, she expresses deep affection. Yuel gets along well with other dogs and has formed a particularly strong bond with her sibling, Samuel. Since they have spent so much time together, she may experience separation anxiety if they are apart, and this should be considered when adopting. She currently goes outside for bathroom breaks three times a day and enjoys running freely with her canine friends in the exercise yard. However, during the adjustment period in a new home, occasional accidents may occur. Once she settles in, she should quickly adapt to an outdoor potty routine again. It is recommended to start taking her on walks only after she has bonded with her new family. Due to her Jindo mix heritage, she has a strong homing instinct. If she is suddenly taken far away or travels by plane, she may become confused and instinctively try to find her way back home. To prevent this, walks should only begin after she fully recognizes her adopter as family. Even then, a double leash or harness is essential for safety. Yuel still carries emotional scars from her traumatic past and may be shy and cautious at first. However, for those that are willing to endure that initial period and patiently wait for her trust, Yuel will become the most loyal and loving lifelong companion.

Story
**Note: Ohoh is currently in Korea, but he will fly to Toronto once he is adopted. Background Ohoh’s life hasn’t been easy. As a tiny puppy, he was found wandering in an apartment complex in Wanju, Korea. He was sent to a city pound, where he spent the next five years chained in a poor shelter with little comfort or care. This summer, Ohoh finally came to us and has been living at our boarding house, where he is safe and loved while waiting for his forever family. Personality & Socialization Ohoh is a gentle, sweet, and loyal boy with a calm, easygoing nature. He has medium energy—happy to go for walks and spend time with people, but also content to relax quietly by your side. He’s very friendly with people, both men and women, and loves being close to his humans. When he first came to us, Ohoh was nervous around other dogs, likely because he spent years chained and isolated. Over time, he has slowly started to make progress and found doggy friends he enjoys playing with. Ohoh is not a fan of dogs who are bossy, pushy, or loud, but he gets along well with gentle and friendly dogs. Behaviour Ohoh is well-behaved, obedient, and very smart. He bonds strongly with people and follows their lead easily. He rides calmly in the car, tolerates bath time, and is cooperative at the vet. He walks nicely on a leash, enjoys outdoor potty breaks, and is quiet indoors. We’ve rarely heard him bark. With a little training, Ohoh will blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion. Health & Diet Ohoh is neutered, microchipped, and fully up to date on his vaccines. He is dewormed and on monthly parasite prevention. When first rescued, he was treated for anaplasmosis, and he has since made a full recovery. He’s in good health and ready for his forever home. Ohoh eats dry kibble twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Ohoh will thrive with a family looking for a calm, gentle, and loyal companion. He gets along well with other dogs who are gentle, quiet, and well-mannered, but he would also be very happy as the only dog in the home. A quiet, relaxed lifestyle where he can soak up love and attention from his humans would be perfect for him. Ohoh is an easygoing and affectionate boy who simply wants to be by your side. Whoever adopts him will be very lucky. -------------------------------- For more info about the dog or adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/ohoh/

Story
**Note: Samdol is currently in Korea, but will fly to Toronto on once adopted. Background: Imagine a sweet, gentle soul, rescued from a dog meat farm, now ready to fill your life with quiet companionship and unwavering loyalty. That’s Samdol. In May 2022, we discovered this beautiful boy at a dog meat farm in Siheung, Korea, one of 101 lucky dogs saved that day. While his past left him understandably traumatized and fearful, his gentle nature shone through even then. The first two years after his rescue, Samdol lived in our boarding house, slowly learning to feel safe. Recognizing his potential, we enrolled him in training school for a year, and he blossomed! He graduated, a testament to his resilience and his desire to connect. He currently lives at our boarding house with other dogs, waiting for his forever home. Personality and Socialization: Samdol is a wonderfully gentle, submissive, and quiet boy with medium energy. He’s a great player with other dogs, large and small, puppies and seniors. He’s mindful and never pushy or aggressive in his interactions. While he’s a little shy with new people, Samdol’s love of treats makes it easy to gain his trust and affection. Once he warms up, he is sweet, gentle, and friendly, and very easy to care for. Behaviours: Samdol is pretty easy-going and low-maintenance. He’s non-destructive and doesn’t bark. He enjoys relaxing, often sitting quietly to watch the world go by. He loves his playtime with other dogs. He handles car rides, baths, and vet visits well, accepting them with quiet grace. He walks well on a leash and enjoys outdoor time, though he can be a little nervous in new environments. Health and Diet: When rescued, Samdol had severe skin diseases, but he has fully recovered and is now healthy. He is up-to-date on his vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered, and receives monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry food twice a day and has shown no allergies. He does have some worn front teeth from chewing the wires when he was at the dog farm, but our veterinarian has confirmed this doesn’t affect his health. He will undergo a dental checkup one more time before he leaves Korea. Ideal Home: His ideal home is with someone who has experience with dogs, especially rescue dogs. While Samdol is incredibly gentle and sweet, patience and guidance in a new environment will help him settle in. A quiet home, where his people are often present and appreciate a loving dog companion, would be perfect. He would thrive in a single-person household just as well as in a family setting. This amazing boy has been through so much; we want his forever home to be one where he is spoiled with love and lives a wonderful, happy life. Samdol is a very charming, cute, goofy, and lovely boy. With the right family, he will shine, and his adopter will feel so lucky to have him in their life. Apply to adoption through link below: https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/samdol/
