Story
Ben was born in a high kill shelter on 2/3/2021. He was a day old when we brought him home along with his 10 siblings and his mother. All that remains is Ben and his mom Lily. They have been waiting patiently. But now it is thThis is Ben and he has been with Chloe’s Pet Rescue since he was a newborn. He is now going on three years old. We aren’t sure why he hasn’t found his “furever” home. He’s such a handsome guy. We believe he is an Akita/American Pit Bull mix. Ben is very friendly when meeting new people (after a few sniffs and he’s good to go) and is good with other dogs. In fact, if it looks like another dog wants to get into a tiff, he walks away. Ben is energetic and loves to go outdoors. He’s great walking on a leash, knows come here, stop, breakfast and dinner and is crate and house trained. One of his favorite things to play with is a ball. Something he does not like is rain and thunder. Don’t go out and buy a new bed for this guy because he will chew it up, just throw a blanket down and he is very content. Ben’s adoption fee is $25, which includes his full vetting.

Story
Meet Bryce! He is a 5yr old male Akita/Cattle dog mix that weighs 82lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 11/22 as a stray. He is a very handsome boy, with probably a few more breeds in the mix. He is a very strong leash walker and will need additional training to help him learn he doesn`t need to pull so much. He has an investigative nose that enjoys taking in every inch of the shelter yard. He knows the sit command and takes treats gently. He prefers stuffed toys to carry around yet couldn`t decide on a favorite. He likes to be petted and rubbed behind his ears. Due to his size he would do best in a home with adults and older children. He showed no interest in the other dogs that were barking at him but we do always ask if there is another dog in the home to ask the shelter for a dog test. If you can offer Bryce a secured yard to play in and the indoor life with a fluffy dog bed and human companions to bond with.

Story
Meet Celeste, a brave and beautiful Husky mix with a heart as strong as her spirit. Celeste came to us as a young puppy after being hit by a car, leaving her in need of extensive FHO surgery to repair her hip. Thanks to dedicated veterinary care and the love and patience of her foster family, she made a full recovery and now moves with grace and confidence. Her resilience and gentle spirit are a true testament to her will to thrive, and she’s now ready to find the forever family she’s been waiting for. Celeste is a sweet, sensitive soul who can be shy and a little timid at first, especially in new environments or around unfamiliar people. But with patience and kindness, her walls come down, and she reveals her affectionate, loyal nature. Once she feels comfortable, she’ll lean into you for affection, give her famous snuggles, and shower you with gentle kisses. She forms deep bonds with those she trusts and thrives in calm, stable homes where she can relax and continue to blossom. She’s great with other dogs and finds comfort in canine companions who help her feel more at ease. Celeste is fully potty trained and enjoys spending time with her people, whether it’s a quiet evening together or a peaceful walk outside. Born in March 2025, she is currently in a foster home in Texas. Celeste is looking for a loving, patient family who will give her the time and security she needs to continue shining. When you earn her trust, you’ll gain a devoted companion who will fill your home with love and gratitude every single day. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue.
