Story
Teddy is a nearly 4 year old Akita with an easygoing, independent nature. He loves spending his days relaxing and taking things at his own pace, but he&#39s always happy to soak up attention when his people offer it. He&#39s fully house trained and sleeps comfortably in his crate overnight. Teddy is playful and enjoys exploring fenced in areas and engaging in gentle games, tug with stuffed toys is his absolute favorite. He also gets along well with dogs of all sizes and has a calm, respectful presence that many pups appreciate. Teddy is looking for a home that values his mellow personality, gives him space to unwind, and welcomes his sweet, understated affection. If you&#39re hoping for a peaceful companion with a touch of playful spirit, he might be the perfect match. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Teddy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.February 1, 2026, 12:32 pm

Story
Destiny is a puppy who is 6 mo. old. She has lots of energy, and likes to run outside, sit out in the sun, play with balls, plush animals, and plastic bottles. She is potty trained, responds to the "sit" command and notifies you when she wants to go outside and come inside. She is an explorer and very curious about her surroundings. Because she is still a puppy, she has a tendency to bite your hands and feet and chew on anything she can find. She loves to receive attention and if you do not give it to her, she will let you know by picking up one of her chewing toys and bringing it to you for a game of tug-of-war or will gently bite you for attention. Her sleep schedule is from 10 pm - 5 am. Does well with small kids and among other dogs. Will bark only when needing attention. Looking to re-home with a loving family who will give her all the attention she deserves. It breaks our heart to let go of her but due to our busy schedules and lifestyle, we are unable to

Story
Oh my gosh, are you here to read more about little ol’ me? Oh, where do I start! Well, I’m just a happy doggo trying to live my best life and match up with a new family. DAS is helping me search, isn’t that cool? We’re still getting to know each other, but I think we’re going to find me some great friends. I’ve let them know that I enjoy long walks on warm evenings, trying all kinds of new snacks, and chewing on doggie toys. Who doesn’t love those things? Speaking of snacks, I’ve heard that Dallas is an exciting doggie-friendly place for food enthusiasts! I’d love to check out a few patios some day with my new family. Does that sound like something you’d enjoy, too? I sure hope so… maybe you could click that “Adopt Me” button and we’ll get to know each other better!

Story
Meet Celeste, a brave and beautiful Husky mix with a heart as strong as her spirit. Celeste came to us as a young puppy after being hit by a car, leaving her in need of extensive FHO surgery to repair her hip. Thanks to dedicated veterinary care and the love and patience of her foster family, she made a full recovery and now moves with grace and confidence. Her resilience and gentle spirit are a true testament to her will to thrive, and she’s now ready to find the forever family she’s been waiting for. Celeste is a sweet, sensitive soul who can be shy and a little timid at first, especially in new environments or around unfamiliar people. But with patience and kindness, her walls come down, and she reveals her affectionate, loyal nature. Once she feels comfortable, she’ll lean into you for affection, give her famous snuggles, and shower you with gentle kisses. She forms deep bonds with those she trusts and thrives in calm, stable homes where she can relax and continue to blossom. She’s great with other dogs and finds comfort in canine companions who help her feel more at ease. Celeste is fully potty trained and enjoys spending time with her people, whether it’s a quiet evening together or a peaceful walk outside. Born in March 2025, she is currently in a foster home in Texas. Celeste is looking for a loving, patient family who will give her the time and security she needs to continue shining. When you earn her trust, you’ll gain a devoted companion who will fill your home with love and gratitude every single day. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue.
