Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Wiley - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Did you know that things with the name Wiley are believed to be understanding, compassionate, and like to help others who are in need of comfort. We are romantics, protective, faithful and are great peace keepers. Now that's a very cool name to grow into! I'd love to be your compassionate lil peace keeper! At around 6 months old I'm still very much still a puppy. I'm still a little spongy...soaking up everything, and am at that great age where I'd make a great candidate for some obedience classes or maybe even some fun ones like agility! I'm game to give them all a try if you want to try them with me! I am super sweet, active and playful. I love people both tall and small and I'm good with other dogs, although I'm not sure about cats, having not met one before. I would do great with another playful sibling of either 2 or the 4 legged variety or be just as happy getting all your attention as your one and only. Did you also know that when I get fully growed up at around 40-50ish lbs I will be at a great size to share in all your adventures. I'd make a great neighborhood stroll taking pawtner, hiking/camping cohort and/or a river excursion companion. You want to do it, I'd be game to try it out too! And the bestest part is when we're done having all our fun we get to have cuddle time but don't worry, even at my fully grown weight there will always be room for you on the couch too. I have to make sure I can get my cuddle time in, right?!! As with your typical pup, I'm playful and curious about everything. I'll need daily exercise and playtime, but with that in I should do great in town with a yard, out on a farm or anywhere in between. This lil spongey stud muffin is ready for my very own home, could I possibly have YOU as my family?!! These siblings include - Walden, Wiley and Waverly

Story
Animal Profile:  Millie was listed as a ~2 year old retriever mix, but based on her personality we think she is maybe a little Chow with a sprinkle of street dog. She weighs 32lbs. She is a traveler at heart - she walked herself right across an international bridge and found herself in Del Rio, TX. Our rescue partners scooped her up and she is enjoying life in foster care. Warm bed, squeaky toys, and people and pets to play with. We are excited to meet this happy girl here in Seattle! Foster Update: Update on this girly.  She's doing great! She has settled in enough that she will work for cheese on our walks and is giving good engagement. She's getting 2, hour plus walks every day and is now way more comfortable around bikes and strangers. Honestly if I didn't have a senior kitty I'd be tempted to keep her; she’s got good house manners and is very well behaved in her crate. Millie is a little insecure meeting new people that come right into her space, and she prefers to take things slow but does warm up. With continued training and proper socialization she’ll be a wonderful addition to the right family. She has already learned sit, down and come and has pretty good recall with minimal effort. She lives to sniff and enjoyed her hike, pretty easy going on leash, but also needs proper intros to new dogs. Millie would do best in a single family home with a fenced yard - she loves to sit outside and enjoy the smells.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Animal Advocacy & Rescue, our partner in Del Rio Texas, and arriving via Paws Up Rescue on 03/25/24 to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care. April 24, 2024, 4:16 pm
