Story
Meet Aiden, rescued from Korea and a young Jindo pup.  Aiden is a good boy but he is worried at first about meeting new people. He did not have a great start in life and as a result he can be unsure of himself. He is in a wonderful foster home where he is patiently guided to become a little more confident. Aiden will do best with other dogs who are social and confident so that he can learn from their example. He is not suitable for a home with kids or cats.   Aiden is young and has a full life ahead of him. We hope to find him a dedicated person who is willing to continue working with him so that he can live his best life.  Aiden is vaccinated, chipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $395. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Pearl — A Sweet & Social Jindo Mix Looking for Her Forever Family!   Name: Pearl Age: 9 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight: 21 kg Height: 56 cm (shoulder height)   Personality with People   Pearl is a very affectionate and friendly girl who happily approaches both familiar people and strangers. She loves leaning in for pets and allows handling easily. With people she knows well, she’s a total sweetheart — she may jump up to give kisses and show her playful affection. She does well with children under 13 and is comfortable being gently lifted with an arm under her belly. Once she trusts you, she’ll even show her belly   Socialization with Other Dogs   Pearl enjoys greeting and playing with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs. She does have a timid side — if several dogs (even small ones) rush toward her at once, she may retreat. She can be a little socially unaware at times and may try to initiate play even if the other dog is unsure. With very high-energy dogs, she will clearly communicate when she’s uncomfortable.   Cats   Pearl has not yet been tested with cats, but a cat test can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level   Pearl has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but once her exercise is done, she settles nicely and relaxes indoors.   ‍ Walking & Leash Skills   She does pull on the leash at times but generally follows her handler well. Pearl loves sniffing and exploring, so walks often involve stopping and starting as she takes in all the scents around her   Other Behaviors & Habits   • No food guarding toward people or dogs, though she is food-motivated and may rush to eat first • Rarely barks — if uncomfortable, she may whine softly instead • Calm and well-behaved in a kennel • Gets in and out of the car on her own • Fully accustomed to outdoor potty routines   Rescue Story   Pearl was rescued with her mother and littermates after her mom entered the Ganghwa Shelter in Incheon and gave birth there. Thanks to rescue support, Pearl has grown up safe and loved — and is now ready for her forever home. Currently in Korea — available for adoption to Canada/US Apply to adopt or foster Pearl: https://adoptmekr.org Please visit our Facebook or Instagram. Pearl is a loving, joyful young dog who will make a wonderful companion for a family ready to grow with her ##2609383##

Story
Meet Songi!   Name: Songi Age: 5 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: White Weight: 23 kg (50.7 lbs) — currently a little overweight with a slightly short-legged build   Rescued from a municipal shelter euthanasia list   Songi is the definition of a true lady.   She may approach new people slowly at first, taking time to sniff and assess the situation, but she is never unfriendly. In fact, she will happily accept treats from strangers and can be gently petted even during first meetings. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet and affectionate personality shines through.   She isn’t overly demanding of attention, but before you know it, you’ll find her quietly sitting beside you, waiting for gentle pets and companionship.   Personality & Temperament   Gentle and polite with people Can be picked up comfortably by supporting her belly Has not been tested with children under 13 Rarely barks Does not guard food from people or other dogs House-trained and generally prefers outdoor potty breaks   Dog Social Skills   Songi gets along beautifully with other dogs and has wonderful canine manners.   She enjoys greeting new dogs and coexisting peacefully but isn’t particularly interested in roughhousing or wrestling. If another dog becomes overly pushy, she may give a brief growl—not as aggression, but simply to say, “That’s enough, please.” It’s a polite communication signal and she has never shown interest in escalating conflicts.   Friendly with large dogs Friendly with medium-sized dogs Friendly with small dogs Lives peacefully with other dogs Tends to avoid conflict even when challenged Prefers calmer dog friends and can feel overwhelmed by very high-energy dogs   Walking & Activity   Songi absolutely loves walks!   She walks beautifully on leash, stays close to her handler, and does not pull. Even when she sees birds or cats, she usually just watches them without chasing or lunging.   She enjoys outdoor activities but has a moderate energy level and is happy to relax quietly after exercise.   Car Rides   Songi doesn’t quite understand how to jump into a car yet, so she appreciates a little help getting in. Once inside, however, she sits calmly and rides beautifully. She has completed a 40-minute car ride without any signs of motion sickness.   Smart & Food-Motivated   Songi loves treats and food, which makes her a wonderful candidate for positive reinforcement training.   Although she hasn’t formally learned commands such as “sit,” she will often offer a sit on her own when she sees a treat in your hand. She’s eager to learn and enjoys working with people.   One of her sweetest qualities is her willingness to share. Despite loving food, she doesn’t argue with other dogs over treats and has a naturally gentle nature.   A Special Note   Songi does carry one small fear.   When people are holding objects, she sometimes hesitates to approach and may move away. We don’t know her full past, but it may be connected to unpleasant experiences before her rescue. Despite this, she continues to trust people, accepts affection, and genuinely wants to be close to her humans.   Her resilience, grace, and gentle heart make her truly special.   If you’re looking for a calm, polite, affectionate companion who will quietly become your shadow, Songi may be the perfect match.
