🌸Meet Pansy – A Precious Mama Looking for Her Forever Home! 🌸 Here are more photos and videos of Pansy: https://www.instagram.com/p/DPM9WucEqSA/?hl=en https://www.instagram.com/p/DPmcRnYgSJ-/?hl=en Pansy is the brave mother of Pine. They were rescued together, along with all of her puppies, from a city shelter in Korea where they were on the euthanasia list. At that time, her puppies were only 1–2 months old, and despite her own health struggles, she cared for them with everything she had. Pansy is a special dog, who is deeply loved and cared for by her foster. Pansy is now ready to travel to the Seattle area for her forever home!🌼 Name: Pansy Breed: Jindo Retriever mix Estimated Age: 4 years 6 months Gender: Female Weight: 26 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Energy Level: Indoors 3/10 Outdoors 7/10 (loves running in open fields where she comes alive!) Foster’s Comments: Pansy is a dog I truly love. If circumstances allowed, I would adopt her myself. She is very sweet but shy, so she needs time to adjust. If pressured, she will not open up, but with patience, she will eventually bond more quickly than she did with me. She may chase birds or cats, so care must be taken outdoors, and continued training to help her overcome her fear of strangers is recommended. Pansy is a gentle mother who cared for her puppies above her own comfort. To me, she has always been precious—not just a foster dog, but a beloved companion. I hope she finds a family who will treat her like a princess, free from fear, and give her the secure, loving home she deserves. She deserves a family who will cherish her as if she were the most special dog in the world. Dogs: Gets along with most dogs, but afraid of dogs larger than herself. May be startled if approached suddenly. Gets along well with foster’s two dogs. Note: She is afraid of dogs bigger than her. Cats: Chases cats (and birds) Kids: Seems to be afraid of children Wary of men, bonds slowly. Warms up faster to women Potty trained: 100% outdoors, needs walks 3-4 times a day Leash skills: Walks well, loves slow walks. Barking: Haven’t heard her barked: softly whines to go out Separation anxiety: None Mouthiness/Nipping: May nip out of fear if handled suddenly by strangers Behavioral: Still fearful of strangers; may run from unfamiliar men or children during walks. With the help of dog walkers, this has improved a lot but is not yet completely resolved. Personality/Habits: Very shy; dislikes being approached suddenly Favorite Things: Chew toys Ideal Family: Calm household, mostly women, preferably no children, who can provide frequent walks Health notes: Anaplasma: Tested positive, completed medication Parvo: Hospitalized with two puppies for mild Parvo; Pansy was the first to recover and be discharged Pelvic fracture surgery. May look slightly awkward when running, but it does not affect her daily life. Pansy is currently in a single-woman household, with her boyfriend staying over 3–4 days a week. Pansy is very close to her primary caregiver and follows her everywhere, showing a 10/10 bond. With her boyfriend, it took about four months for her to overcome her initial fear, and now she is friendly with him—she allows him to walk, pet, and hold her, showing a 6/10 bond. Pansy is a quiet, gentle, and precious girl who enjoys slow walks but comes alive when running in open spaces. She may be shy at first, but once she feels safe and with patience she blossoms into a deeply affectionate companion. This special, gentle soul is ready to be cherished and loved in her forever home.💗 Pls DM or fill out an adoption application via the link in our bio on Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/loveismighty__rescue/?hl=en

Story
Meet Aiden, rescued from Korea and a young Jindo pup.  Aiden is a good boy but he is worried at first about meeting new people. He did not have a great start in life and as a result he can be unsure of himself. He is in a wonderful foster home where he is patiently guided to become a little more confident. Aiden will do best with other dogs who are social and confident so that he can learn from their example. He is not suitable for a home with kids or cats.   Aiden is young and has a full life ahead of him. We hope to find him a dedicated person who is willing to continue working with him so that he can live his best life.  Aiden is vaccinated, chipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $395. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Meet Pearl — A Sweet & Social Jindo Mix Looking for Her Forever Family!   Name: Pearl Age: 9 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight: 21 kg Height: 56 cm (shoulder height)   Personality with People   Pearl is a very affectionate and friendly girl who happily approaches both familiar people and strangers. She loves leaning in for pets and allows handling easily. With people she knows well, she’s a total sweetheart — she may jump up to give kisses and show her playful affection. She does well with children under 13 and is comfortable being gently lifted with an arm under her belly. Once she trusts you, she’ll even show her belly   Socialization with Other Dogs   Pearl enjoys greeting and playing with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs. She does have a timid side — if several dogs (even small ones) rush toward her at once, she may retreat. She can be a little socially unaware at times and may try to initiate play even if the other dog is unsure. With very high-energy dogs, she will clearly communicate when she’s uncomfortable.   Cats   Pearl has not yet been tested with cats, but a cat test can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level   Pearl has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but once her exercise is done, she settles nicely and relaxes indoors.   ‍ Walking & Leash Skills   She does pull on the leash at times but generally follows her handler well. Pearl loves sniffing and exploring, so walks often involve stopping and starting as she takes in all the scents around her   Other Behaviors & Habits   • No food guarding toward people or dogs, though she is food-motivated and may rush to eat first • Rarely barks — if uncomfortable, she may whine softly instead • Calm and well-behaved in a kennel • Gets in and out of the car on her own • Fully accustomed to outdoor potty routines   Rescue Story   Pearl was rescued with her mother and littermates after her mom entered the Ganghwa Shelter in Incheon and gave birth there. Thanks to rescue support, Pearl has grown up safe and loved — and is now ready for her forever home. Currently in Korea — available for adoption to Canada/US Apply to adopt or foster Pearl: https://adoptmekr.org Please visit our Facebook or Instagram. Story
Meet Hina   Name: Hina Age: 1 year Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo Spitz Mix Color: Brown Weight: 13 kg (28.6 lbs) Height: 45 cm (17.7 in) at the shoulder   Rescue Story   Hina was born to a rural outdoor dog. In April 2025, her owner contacted rescuers asking them to take the puppies born to the mother dog, and Hina was rescued along with her siblings. She spent approximately four months at a boarding facility before moving into a foster home in August.   Hina adapted to her foster home within about a week, but it took closer to a month for her to become fully comfortable with body handling and being approached or caught by people. Her journey has shown that while she may be shy at first, she is capable of building strong bonds once trust is established.   ‍‍ Social with People   Hina is a gentle and somewhat shy girl who takes a little time to warm up to new people. She will readily accept treats from strangers and will even work up the courage to approach for treats herself. Physical affection takes longer—she generally prefers to get to know someone before allowing petting and handling, but she can become comfortable within about a week.   She has met children under 13 and was willing to take treats from them, though she did not actively approach them on her own.   Hina can be picked up by placing an arm under her belly, but she does not particularly enjoy being carried and dislikes being grabbed unexpectedly. Because she is naturally sensitive and somewhat timid, sudden noises or startling situations may cause her to retreat and seek a safe place. For this reason, she would do best with a calm, patient family that can help her continue building confidence at her own pace.   Once she trusts you, Hina becomes incredibly affectionate. She enjoys being petted, leans into her people, rubs against them, and happily seeks attention.   Social with Other Dogs   Hina generally gets along well with dogs that are similar in size, smaller than her, gentle, or socially appropriate. She tends to avoid large dogs that are overly enthusiastic or pushy when trying to initiate play.   When meeting new dogs, she is polite and typically limits interactions to sniffing and greetings. Once friendships develop, however, she becomes playful and enjoys interacting with her canine companions.   Cats   Hina lived with a cat in the same home for approximately three months. When she sees cats during walks, she may watch them with curiosity, but she follows her handler’s guidance and moves on without issue.   Energy Level   Hina has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks but settles down nicely and relaxes once her exercise needs have been met.   Walking   Hina is an experienced walker who follows her handler well and does not pull on leash. She enjoys exploring the outdoors while remaining attentive to her person.   Additional Information   Hina does not guard food from people. However, because she enjoys food, she may occasionally growl if another dog approaches her while she is eating. When treats are distributed by people, she patiently waits her turn and takes them politely.   She is generally a very quiet dog and rarely barks. Occasionally, she may give a few hesitant alert barks when encountering unfamiliar people.   One important thing to know about Hina is that she has historically shown anxiety whenever she transitions to a new environment. During her early days in foster care, she chewed on door frames while trying to get outside. When she later moved to a training facility, she initially attempted to climb out of her kennel and repeatedly scratched at doors in an effort to leave unfamiliar spaces.   Because of this, Hina’s adopter should plan to spend significant time helping her settle into her new home. It is important not to leave her alone immediately after adoption and instead focus on building trust, establishing routines, and helping her feel secure. Enrichment activities such as nose work, food puzzles, and interactive games can greatly support her adjustment and confidence.   Hina travels exceptionally well. She is calm in a crate, knows how to jump into and out of a vehicle on her own, and rides comfortably. While she currently prefers to eliminate outdoors, she has successfully used pee pads indoors when walks were not possible.   Ideal Home   Hina would thrive in a patient, understanding home that appreciates the rewarding process of helping a shy dog blossom. She may not be the dog who immediately jumps into a stranger’s lap, but for the person willing to earn her trust, she becomes a deeply affectionate and loyal companion. Name: Seoju Age: 3 years Sex: Neutered male Neutered: Yes Breed: Jindo mix Color: Beige Weight: 13.8 kg Height (shoulder): 50 cm   Rescue Story Seoju was rescued in October 2024 just before euthanasia. He entered the AKR Center in January 2025, where he spent about a year working on socialization training. He is a classic playful and mischievous “troublemaker” type who has made great progress with structure and guidance.   With People Seoju loves people — truly loves them He is very affectionate and will approach both familiar people and strangers, leaning in for pets and attention.   He does have a strong attachment tendency and can get jealous when it comes to “his person.” It took about a year to help him become more calm and balanced, and while he’s improved a lot, he’s still not fully settled. In a stable home environment, he is expected to continue improving.   He enjoys both men and women, and once he bonds, he can become very devoted — following his person around like a little bodyguard   Can be picked up comfortably Shows his belly easily, even to new people   With Other Dogs Seoju is generally social and will greet and try to play with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs.   Prefers dogs of similar size Dislikes overly high-energy or pushy dogs   If he feels uncomfortable, he may react, but he’s not a strong fighter and often ends up backing down.   In group settings, he can show jealousy around people (trying to “claim” attention by positioning himself close or between legs), but when people are not involved, he plays well with other dogs.   With Cats Not tested yet, but based on his temperament: Likely indifferent or slightly cautious. Cat testing can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level Moderate energy Enjoys outdoor activities Rests calmly after exercise   He likes carrying blankets or toys to his space and enjoys chewing toys or relaxing beside people   ‍ Walks Seoju can be sensitive to sudden stimuli. He once panicked after being startled by a flapping banner, and may still react in that specific situation.   Walks well in calm, quiet areas like parks nervous in busy roads or noisy environments   Other Notes Food motivated — may guard food from other dogs → separate feeding recommended In the center, he may bark at outside noises, but in foster care he reportedly did not bark Car rides: nervous, needs to be carried in Currently outdoor potty trained, but:   When stressed, drinks more water and may have occasional accidents at night     → Temporary space management recommended during adjustment   Very calm and well-behaved in kennel Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org  Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram! Story
Meet Lisa!   Name: Lisa Age: Approximately 3 years old Breed: Jindo/Hogu Mix Gender: Female (Spayed) Weight: 11.6 kg Height: 41 cm (at the shoulder)   Rescue Story   Lisa was found pregnant near a campground and brought into a municipal shelter, where she was rescued and given a second chance at life.   ‍ Social with People   Lisa is a gentle and sensitive girl who needs a little time to trust new people. She can be wary of strangers at first, but with patience and consistency, she typically warms up within a few days to a week.   She is uncomfortable with sudden movements, loud noises, and screaming from young children, so she would do best in a home with older, respectful children or adults only.   While she can be picked up by placing an arm under her belly, it’s not something she particularly enjoys. Once she feels safe, however, her sweet personality begins to shine.   Social with Other Dogs   Lisa generally enjoys the company of other dogs, especially calm and friendly ones. She tends to feel more secure and confident when another dog is present and would likely thrive in a home with a well-balanced canine companion.   Friendly with both larger and smaller dogs Prefers calmer dogs over high-energy playmates Especially likes larger male dogs at dog parks Politely greets friendly dogs and enjoys social interactions   Personality   Lisa is a fascinating combination of being very shy and very curious.   She loves exploring her surroundings when left alone and may occasionally carry favorite items around the house to a spot she considers safe and comfortable. Rather than viewing this as naughty behavior, her foster suggests seeing it as Lisa creating her own little comfort zone.   Inside the home, Lisa becomes noticeably more confident and relaxed. As her bond with her family grows, you’ll likely discover an adorable, playful side hidden beneath her timid exterior.   Very quiet and rarely barks No resource guarding with people or dogs Independent and comfortable being alone No separation anxiety Loves food and enrichment activities Enjoys nose-work toys and puzzles   Exercise & Training   Lisa has a relatively low energy level indoors and enjoys lounging peacefully around the house. She enjoys daily walks and outdoor adventures but settles down nicely afterward.   Loves sniffing and exploring scents more than walking quickly May stop frequently to investigate interesting smells Can pull on leash at times but generally follows her handler well If something scares her, she tends to freeze or flatten herself to the ground rather than react aggressively   Travel & House Manners   Quiet and calm in a kennel Jumps in and out of the car independently Primarily prefers outdoor potty habits Comfortable entertaining herself with toys and enrichment activities   A Special Note   Lisa absolutely loves sleeping close to her people. She prefers sharing a bed and happily accepts gentle affection while resting. She sleeps quietly through the night and enjoys the comfort of being near her trusted humans.   Ideal Home   Lisa would thrive in a calm, patient household that understands shy dogs and allows her to build confidence at her own pace. A home with another friendly, stable dog would be a wonderful bonus.   Behind her timid nature is a sweet, curious girl waiting to blossom into a devoted companion. Meet Kiss   Name: Kiss Age: 5 years old (estimated, born in 2021) Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Mixed Breed Color: Brown Weight: 21 kg   Rescue Story   Kiss was rescued from a municipal shelter where she was at risk of euthanasia. She is believed to have been born in 2021, entered the shelter system in 2022, and was rescued in 2023. Since then, she has been safely living at a shelter while waiting for her forever family.   ‍‍‍ Social with People   Kiss is a loving, outgoing girl who adores people. She happily approaches both familiar people and strangers, enjoys being petted, and will often lean in for affection.   She can be comfortably picked up and even rolls over to show her belly to people she has just met.   Although she has not been tested with children under 13, her gentle and friendly personality suggests she would likely do well with respectful kids.   Social with Other Dogs   Kiss is polite and easygoing around other dogs. She enjoys greeting unfamiliar dogs but isn’t particularly interested in rough play or high-energy wrestling matches.   If another dog challenges her, she prefers to walk away rather than engage.   While she’s not the life of the dog party, she gets along well with canine companions and shares space peacefully.   Cats   When she sees cats during walks, Kiss remains focused on her person and shows little interest in chasing them. ‍   Energy Level   Kiss has a moderate energy level. HI - I'M BOBO! I'm a beautiful, sweet, gentle, mellow 8-year-old female Chow Chow mix currently in a foster home in Bothell, where I enjoy my days lounging around, going for short walks, and hanging out with other dogs and cats. I originally was rescued from a crowded California shelter, where I was brought in with a another dog. I do great with other dogs and cats, too. I'm in good health except for some arthritis, but glucosamine treats help me greatly. Would you like to meet me? Please email for an application. I weigh 78 lbs.

Story
Hazel is a very affectionate and funny dog! She loves to sit on you and give kisses. If you're looking for a true house hippo, she is your girl! Hazel is very easy-going as far as energy levels. She does not require long walks and gets tired around an hour. She is able to stay at home and sleep all day if you work a normal job. A typical day for Hazel is a short walk before and after work due to owner health but she doesn't complain. She would love to be out more! She loves to sniff grass and bathe in any sun she can get. When she's inside, she's typically sleeping under a blankie. Hazel needs to be in an only pet home unless experienced with dogs with behavior problems. She is reactive to dogs and other animals. She would do best in a house with a tall fenced yard so she is able to relax in her own space!
