HI - I'M BOBO! I'm a beautiful, sweet, gentle, mellow 8-year-old female Chow Chow mix currently in a foster home in Bothell, where I enjoy my days lounging around, going for short walks, and hanging out with other dogs and cats. I originally was rescued from a crowded California shelter, where I was brought in with a another dog. I do great with other dogs and cats, too. I'm in good health except for some arthritis, but glucosamine treats help me greatly. Would you like to meet me? Please email for an application. I weigh 78 lbs.

Story
Hazel is a very affectionate and funny dog! She loves to sit on you and give kisses. If you're looking for a true house hippo, she is your girl! Hazel is very easy-going as far as energy levels. She does not require long walks and gets tired around an hour. She is able to stay at home and sleep all day if you work a normal job. A typical day for Hazel is a short walk before and after work due to owner health but she doesn't complain. She would love to be out more! She loves to sniff grass and bathe in any sun she can get. When she's inside, she's typically sleeping under a blankie. Hazel needs to be in an only pet home unless experienced with dogs with behavior problems. She is reactive to dogs and other animals. She would do best in a house with a tall fenced yard so she is able to relax in her own space!

Story
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. To see more pictures of this dog, please visit our Facebook page and look under “photos” and then “albums”. A 30ish pound, 6-year-old female Super Mutt, Sheba arrived to Smidget pregnant. Having done a great job raising her pups, she’s now ready to bring dances of joy and lots of cuddles to her forever home. She is delighted to run with you, play ball, or lounge on the couch. She is loyal, eager to please, and gets along well with other dogs and cats. Sheba’s energy levels are high and would be too much for a home with small children. In addition to normal barking, she will make a series of high-pitched noises when triggered by something such as a strange dog. Very smart and food-motivated, she responds well to training. New people are a challenge for her, and she will take some time—and treats—to warm up to them. To request an adoption application, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend. For a list of scheduled events go to: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/events . Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Additional pictures of adoptable dogs can be seen at: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/photos_stream?tab=photos_albums. All adoptable dogs are spayed or neutered at 6 months of age or older. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. APPLICATIONS CAN BE OBTAINED BY EMAIL ONLY. Adoption process includes application, meet & greet, home visit and reference check. Email Jamie at smidgetrescue@hotmail.com or click on the CONTACT link on this page. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS BEFORE SENDING. 8632781We get a fair number of incorrect emails and Jamie is not able to contact potential adopters. Notice: We do not ship dogs out of state. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.

Rusty enjoys a slower pace of life. He loves to be rubbed and hang out on the couch. He does enjoy his walks. He gets along with other dogs as long as there is a proper introduction. He is a happy go lucky boy. He has hip issues so long walks aren't recommended. He does like walking leisurely around the yard. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He can travel to anywhere in the US and Canada. ##1501779##

Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE. 🌸Meet Pansy – A Precious Mama Looking for Her Forever Home! 🌸 Here are more photos and videos of Pansy: https://www.instagram.com/p/DPM9WucEqSA/?hl=en https://www.instagram.com/p/DPmcRnYgSJ-/?hl=en Pansy is the brave mother of Pine. They were rescued together, along with all of her puppies, from a city shelter in Korea where they were on the euthanasia list. At that time, her puppies were only 1–2 months old, and despite her own health struggles, she cared for them with everything she had. Pansy is a special dog, who is deeply loved and cared for by her foster. Pansy is now ready to travel to the Seattle area for her forever home!🌼 Name: Pansy Breed: Jindo Retriever mix Estimated Age: 4 years 6 months Gender: Female Weight: 26 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Energy Level: Indoors 3/10 Outdoors 7/10 (loves running in open fields where she comes alive!) Foster’s Comments: Pansy is a dog I truly love. If circumstances allowed, I would adopt her myself. She is very sweet but shy, so she needs time to adjust. If pressured, she will not open up, but with patience, she will eventually bond more quickly than she did with me. She may chase birds or cats, so care must be taken outdoors, and continued training to help her overcome her fear of strangers is recommended. Pansy is a gentle mother who cared for her puppies above her own comfort. To me, she has always been precious—not just a foster dog, but a beloved companion. I hope she finds a family who will treat her like a princess, free from fear, and give her the secure, loving home she deserves. She deserves a family who will cherish her as if she were the most special dog in the world. Dogs: Gets along with most dogs, but afraid of dogs larger than herself. May be startled if approached suddenly. Gets along well with foster’s two dogs. Note: She is afraid of dogs bigger than her. Cats: Chases cats (and birds) Kids: Seems to be afraid of children Wary of men, bonds slowly. Warms up faster to women Potty trained: 100% outdoors, needs walks 3-4 times a day Leash skills: Walks well, loves slow walks. Barking: Haven’t heard her barked: softly whines to go out Separation anxiety: None Mouthiness/Nipping: May nip out of fear if handled suddenly by strangers Behavioral: Still fearful of strangers; may run from unfamiliar men or children during walks. With the help of dog walkers, this has improved a lot but is not yet completely resolved. Personality/Habits: Very shy; dislikes being approached suddenly Favorite Things: Chew toys Ideal Family: Calm household, mostly women, preferably no children, who can provide frequent walks Health notes: Anaplasma: Tested positive, completed medication Parvo: Hospitalized with two puppies for mild Parvo; Pansy was the first to recover and be discharged Pelvic fracture surgery. May look slightly awkward when running, but it does not affect her daily life. Pansy is currently in a single-woman household, with her boyfriend staying over 3–4 days a week. Pansy is very close to her primary caregiver and follows her everywhere, showing a 10/10 bond. With her boyfriend, it took about four months for her to overcome her initial fear, and now she is friendly with him—she allows him to walk, pet, and hold her, showing a 6/10 bond. Pansy is a quiet, gentle, and precious girl who enjoys slow walks but comes alive when running in open spaces. She may be shy at first, but once she feels safe and with patience she blossoms into a deeply affectionate companion. This special, gentle soul is ready to be cherished and loved in her forever home.💗 Pls DM or fill out an adoption application via the link in our bio on Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/loveismighty__rescue/?hl=en

Story
Meet Aiden, rescued from Korea and a young Jindo pup.  Aiden is a good boy but he is worried at first about meeting new people. He did not have a great start in life and as a result he can be unsure of himself. He is in a wonderful foster home where he is patiently guided to become a little more confident. Aiden will do best with other dogs who are social and confident so that he can learn from their example. He is not suitable for a home with kids or cats.   Aiden is young and has a full life ahead of him. We hope to find him a dedicated person who is willing to continue working with him so that he can live his best life.  Aiden is vaccinated, chipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $395. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Meet Pearl — A Sweet & Social Jindo Mix Looking for Her Forever Family!   Name: Pearl Age: 9 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight: 21 kg Height: 56 cm (shoulder height)   Personality with People   Pearl is a very affectionate and friendly girl who happily approaches both familiar people and strangers. She loves leaning in for pets and allows handling easily. With people she knows well, she’s a total sweetheart — she may jump up to give kisses and show her playful affection. She does well with children under 13 and is comfortable being gently lifted with an arm under her belly. Once she trusts you, she’ll even show her belly   Socialization with Other Dogs   Pearl enjoys greeting and playing with both familiar and unfamiliar dogs. She does have a timid side — if several dogs (even small ones) rush toward her at once, she may retreat. She can be a little socially unaware at times and may try to initiate play even if the other dog is unsure. With very high-energy dogs, she will clearly communicate when she’s uncomfortable.   Cats   Pearl has not yet been tested with cats, but a cat test can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level   Pearl has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but once her exercise is done, she settles nicely and relaxes indoors.   ‍ Walking & Leash Skills   She does pull on the leash at times but generally follows her handler well. Pearl loves sniffing and exploring, so walks often involve stopping and starting as she takes in all the scents around her   Other Behaviors & Habits   • No food guarding toward people or dogs, though she is food-motivated and may rush to eat first • Rarely barks — if uncomfortable, she may whine softly instead • Calm and well-behaved in a kennel • Gets in and out of the car on her own • Fully accustomed to outdoor potty routines   Rescue Story   Pearl was rescued with her mother and littermates after her mom entered the Ganghwa Shelter in Incheon and gave birth there. Thanks to rescue support, Pearl has grown up safe and loved — and is now ready for her forever home. Currently in Korea — available for adoption to Canada/US Apply to adopt or foster Pearl: https://adoptmekr.org Please visit our Facebook or Instagram. Pearl is a loving, joyful young dog who will make a wonderful companion for a family ready to grow with her ##2609383##
