Story
Hi, I'm Astro, a 5-year-old Chow/Lab mix. Don't let my serious face fool you, I'm a goofy sweet guy! I like to get to know my people slowly, but once I do I love your pets and scratches and I'll even sit in your lap! I'm very food motivated and guard my food and toys with growls and can be stubborn. Playing fetch is hard but I'm learning to "drop it". I know lots of commands (sit, stay, up, down, lay down, shake, wait, let's go) and love performing for treats. I was recently in a foster home and here are some of my likes/dislikes that they shared about me… Like: food!, exercise/walks and agility, butt scratches, sleeping in my crate, chewing my toys, watching out the window, music, water, other dogs, comfy beds Don't like: brushes, towels and loud trucks Astro would do best as the only dog in a house without kids or other small animals since he can be protective and is strong. He will need a family familiar with protection breeds like chows. Astro is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His fee is $350.

These pups are in Seattle, Washington too!

Story
Meet Aiden! 6 month old Aiden was rescued from Korea and is a young Jindo pup. He is a sweet boy, rather timid at first. He likes women more than men but a patient male will be able to win him over. He needs to be with another confident and playful dog in the home to help him thrive.  From his foster family: Great with other dogs, and older children (smaller children and cats unknown) Takes treats nicely and is not food aggressive Is submissive/non aggressive (not alpha)  Is very curious but cautious.  So much is new to him! Is doing well with potty training he will pee outside but seems to get distracted to poo, but he is working on that Not destructive, he will play gently with soft toys, but has been known to steal shoes!  Does not mind staying in a crate.  He sleeps in his crate well Aiden doesn’t like –  cats or small animals other than dogs. The Jindo breed has high prey drive and when he saw a movement in my yard (just plastic sheeting) and a bird he became alert and wanted to dive for both.Aiden may be shy at first but warms up quickly to females and will be hanging in your lap in no time, very affectionate!  He seems to be apprehensive towards males in my household and male visitors but will warm up to them.  Aiden is vaccinated, chipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $525 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Barbie is a special girl looking for that perfect home. Her beautiful brindle coat and brilliant smile will draw you in. Barbie’s energy and smarts will make you fall in love. Our Barbie is a Korean Jindo mix and has the distinctive pointy ears to match. She loves to walk and even jog and can go for miles without breaking a pant. Like many Jindos, Barbie also needs exercise for her mind. She responds well to training activities, games and long lasting chews. The ideal home for Barbie will have active adults and a fenced yard for running and relaxing in the fresh air. She does have a prey drive which means no cats or other small animals. The home does need to continue her training especially her manners towards other dogs. Barbie will take some time to adjust to new people so please be patient. A long term foster who could meet the above requirements would also be welcome. PERSONALITY & TEMPERAMENT Recommend as only pet – No children – Prefer a fenced yard. Energetic and smart. Needs mental and physical exercise HEALTH & WELLNESS No health issues noted. Needs high quality fresh food and lots of love and patience. All dogs have been spayed/neutered, updated on all shots and microchipped. Import papers, Rabies and DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza virus, Parvovirus) Vaccine Certificates will be provided. Travel crate and accessories also provided.

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Jacob from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 7 month old male  Mini-Jindo.  I am approximately 24 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, and friendly.  l was saved from the Korean dog meat trade.  I don’t know how I ended up there but I was so scared and I used to hear the cries from the other dogs as they were taken away.  The activists came and saved us and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,595 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  Please e-mail  admin@gingerspetrescue.org   for an adoption application.  May 31, 2023, 8:08 pm
