Story
Hi, I’m Romeo! I'm a 1-year-old Labradoodle and I weigh 84 lbs. "Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo" you ask? Because I'm a lover boy who is very affectionate and just wants to play all day! Favorite Things: At first, Romeo can be quite cautious, but once he gets to know you , he is very loving and playful.  He willl happily wait by your side while watching tv, but he also can't wait for his walks. This goofy guy also loves toys: the more, the merrier! Training & Manners: A true gentleman, Romeo is housetrained if let out regularly. He walks very well on the leash and will go at your pace. He is a well-behaved passenger on car rides and sleeps in his dog bed at night. He could probably work on some other basic manners-- he is a big goofball who is not always aware of his size and strength/personal space-- but he is generally well-behaved.  Health & Care: Romeo is very allergic to chicken. As long as he stays away from poultry, though, he's a health boy.  He will just need wipes to keep his eyes clean plus the usual flea and heartworm preventatives. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. As a Doodle, his future owners will also need to factor in regular brushing plus professional grooming about every 6-8 weeks.  Other Animals: Romeo gets along with other dogs of all sizes (as long as they let him be the boss). He has been known to be a bit of a kibble bandit if other dogs don't eat all their food. He hasn't been observed around cats yet, but his foster isn't sure that it would be a good fit.  Children: This shy sweetheart would do best in a home with kind, understanding teens.  Ideal Home: A single-family home would be best for Romeo, since he can be very vocal to let you know when someone is at the door. Overall: Romeo's fosters describe him as an "all around awesome dog." Do you think and you and Romeo are star-crossed and destined to be a family forever? If so, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption or foster application. If it seems like a good match, our team will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $550. ##2676862##

Meet Jackson, a 10-year-young, 50-pound sweetheart who still has plenty of pep in his step—but knows how to truly relax and enjoy the good life. Jackson is the kind of dog who just gets it. He’s equal parts walking buddy, couch companion, and loyal shadow. He loves long strolls, gets excited to play, and then happily settles in right beside you—whether that’s curled up in his dog bed or leaning into you for some well-earned pets (his signature move!). Why you’ll love Jackson: Gentle, affectionate, and easy-going Great with other dogs Housebroken and doggie-door trained Champion cuddler and professional lounger Secret beach bum—he loves water! Jackson may be a senior, but you’d never know it. He still enjoys adventure and would make an excellent walking partner (he’s enthusiastic on leash and could use a little polishing—but that just means more bonding time!). He’s a “go with the flow” kind of guy—happy in a home with other dogs or soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only. While he’s not a fan of cats, he’s been a total gentleman with every adult human and dog he’s met. The perfect home for Jackson: Someone who appreciates a dog with a calm spirit but a playful spark. He doesn’t need fancy tricks—just love, companionship, and maybe a cozy spot on the couch. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will walk by your side, lean in for affection, and remind you to enjoy life’s simple pleasures… Jackson is your guy.  Adoption Fee: $ **Included:** - Neutered - Up to date on all vaccines - Microchipped - Heartworm negative Adoption Requirements: Home visits required and non-negotiable Adoptable through: The London Sanctuary Fostered in: Jacksonville, FL       -----------------------   Meet Action Jackson – The Chill Companion You’ve Been Waiting For  Despite his action-packed name, Action Jackson is more of a laid-back homebody than a thrill-seeker. This 9.5-year-old hound/lab/mutt mix is all about the simple pleasures—quiet afternoons, leisurely walks, and lounging with his people. Personality & Lifestyle Jackson is calm, polite, and dog-friendly. He enjoys meeting people and is great with older kids, though cats are still an unknown. He’s not the type to chase tennis balls for hours, but he will happily keep you company while you sip coffee or work in the garden. Training & Habits He’s crate trained, house-trained, and while he doesn’t know formal commands, his eagerness to please makes him a quick learner. He’s not overly treat-motivated but will happily accept the occasional canned food snack. The Perfect Match If you’re looking for a relaxed, loyal friend who values companionship over constant activity, Jackson could be your guy. He’s healthy, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative.  Adoption Details Jackson is adoptable through The London Sanctuary. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Rosie: Professional Cuddler, Stick Collector, and Adventure Buddy-in-Training! At just 4.5 months old, Rosie has already mastered the art of living her best life. This sweet, spunky girl is the perfect blend of playful puppy energy and couch-potato charm. Looking for a hiking buddy? Rosie is ready. Need a movie marathon partner? Rosie is already claiming her spot on the couch. Planning a road trip? Rosie calls shotgun—as long as there's a pup cup involved. Rosie absolutely adores people and other dogs. She's never met a stranger and greets the world with a wagging tail and an enthusiastic zest for life. She especially loves: Playing with dog friends Car rides and field trips Rainy day walks Finding the biggest stick in the yard Treats, treats, and more treats Frozen Kongs Cozy blankets and cuddle sessions Pausing all important activities to scratch an itch Rosie is house-trained and will politely sit by the door and paw to let you know when she needs to go outside. She's also a champion sleeper, snoozing about 10 hours through the night and fitting in plenty of puppy naps between adventures. This smart girl already knows "sit," "off," and her name, and she's continuing her training with her foster family. She's eager to learn, especially when snacks are involved. Rosie walks well on a leash and loves getting outside, though she'll occasionally need a gentle reminder not to pull when something exciting catches her eye. Like many puppies, Rosie is still working on a few things. She's not a huge fan of her crate and experiences some separation anxiety, but she's making progress every day. She currently does best with a playpen during the day and sleeps comfortably in her crate at night when it's near her people. Rosie would thrive in a home that can continue building her confidence, keep up with her training, and give her plenty of love, playtime, and snuggles. In return, you'll get a loyal best friend who is equal parts adventure companion, cuddle bug, and comic relief. If you're looking for a puppy who can chase sticks, steal hearts, and then curl up under a blanket beside you, Rosie might just be your perfect match.    ---------- Meet Rosie: Your New Best Friend! Looking for a puppy who is equal parts cuddle bug and adventure buddy? Meet Rosie, a 4.5-month-old hound mix weighing about 35 pounds, and she just might be the perfect match! Rosie absolutely adores people and would happily spend all day curled up beside her favorite human. But don't let her snuggly side fool you—this sweet girl also loves to run, play, and make new dog friends. She's currently living with another young dog, and the two have become best buddies. Rosie is a social butterfly who wins over everyone she meets, especially kids. When neighborhood children stop to say hello, she often rolls right onto her back for belly rubs! She's gentle, affectionate, and always ready to soak up attention. As a growing puppy, Rosie is learning her manners and making great progress. She already knows "sit," "no," and her name, walks beautifully on a leash, and is crate trained. She's highly motivated by treats and chew toys, making training fun and rewarding. Rosie is mostly house-trained when her people are home, though she can get a little nervous when left alone and may have an accident. More than anything, Rosie loves companionship and is hoping to find a forever family that will include her in their daily lives. A few fun facts about Rosie: Learning to play fetch (she's mastered the chase, but the return trip is still a work in progress!) Belly rub enthusiast Treat-motivated student Loves walks and outdoor adventures Expert-level snuggler Rosie is healthy, happy, and ready to find her forever home. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love, make you laugh with her puppy antics, and happily curl up beside you at the end of the day, Rosie can't wait to meet you! Could Rosie be the missing piece of your family?
